5.0 Fast Travels and Raiding

  1. 1. 5.0 Fast Travel

    • Fast Travel should be like Vailor, being common upon the server
    • Fast Travel should be per island
    • Fast Travel should be allowed to nation capitals only
    • Fast travel should be allowed to nations only, however is limited to an amount (Ex: 5 Per nation)
    • Fast Travel should be removed completely
  2. 2. Raid Limit

    • Maximum raid cap should be decreased (2 or 3)
    • Maximum raid cap should remain the same (4)
    • Maximum raid cap should be inceased to 6
    • Maximum raid cap should be increased to 8
    • Maximum raid cap should be increased (State your opinion/idea down below)

you can't really make a travel and raid limit if we don't know how big the map is, this should be common sense.

 

you're going to get safe space people wanting less raids no matter what, and pvpers wanting freedom to raid.

 

fast travel is like i said, relative to the map size.

Gah, remove fast travels. One per island still sounds bad, unless each and every island, not just the main island, are atleast the size of laureh'lin. Otherwise, there's still not much to walk and alot to travel with a boat.

Less and more I think. Fast travels on an island basis for the smaller nations sharing islands, and for humanity just a warp to the capital to maintain its relevance and an assurance of RP for new players if the capital is in a central position, if not a central crossroads might suffice. And raids don't happen often so when they do happen they may as well be fun.

How big is the map? I think if we knew how big the map was we could more accurately decide upon what is needed. Yet, we can not see it.

And yet even without an overview of the map, the majority of people want, at the least, less fast travel than we have now. That's 75 for "one per island", 26 for "to nations only". And that's not even counting the 38 who just want it entirely gone. Versus 17 for "lets riddle the map with unnecessary Fast Travels just like Vailor" and 37 for "maybe like 5 per nation" So thats 139 for "less fast travel/bare minimum", 17 for "keep it like it is" and 37 for middle ground but still less FT than currently.

People are plainly just sick and tired of fast travel.

I wouldn't mind a few fast travels to bring you to an island or region and that less means less abuse. It could also create more road rp, which right now isn't a whole lot when you can jump into two fast travels that are right next to each other and end up wherever you want to go. I agree with some of the previous peeps when they say, right now fast travels are just bad. And from previous conversations with 5.0 development, the admins damn right know they're bad. So my vote is minimum needed to easily get from island to island or if a nation wants a fast travel within their regions to get some place.
Such as a capital wanted one to a smaller outlying town. We need some to get around but not enough where they are literally everywhere.

I will keep out of really voting for raids. I don't participate in them and I don't care for them when they literally happen every few days. So either keep the rule how it is, or if you are going to raise the maximum cap, let the cooldown be longer. Not everyone enjoys being raided or wants to participate in raids.

Let's keep the cap at 4, and let's take back our server from pvp defaulters!!!

In regards to raiding, during war times I think the amount of players should be unrestricted, however a 1 or 2 day cool down could be put in place unless nation leaders agree otherwise. At peace times, raiding should be capped at 8.

you might aswell remove PvP only raids as they accomplish literally nothing and are just a way for "spat hehe :>" kind of people to piss people off/pvp/get loot

 

I've partecipated in plenty of raids myself and since 2014 they have yet to improve a single RP session

What the ****, my fast travel vote changed... I voted for limits per nation and it went to per island... Rigged? Bug?

I think raid cap at four works for no wartime, then eight for wartime raids, makes the most sense to me.

If the separate islands are big enough that fast travel is found to be a necessity due to travel times, then once again we have failed to create a map that's actually conducive to roleplay.

Im so happy that so many people are voting for per island. That's the most sensible thing and what i've been arguing and supporting since the start of Vailor. Thank you all for making my dreams come true. 

 

Edit: I think it should be 4 raiders during peace, and increased if two factions are at war.
