If spooks keep attacking the exact same place over and over again, of course the people arm themselves with weapons that can actually kill the things attacking.

When spook incursions become a more common occurance than taco tuesdays we learn to arm ourselves up with plenty of gold.

If you aren't going to go for ET, you just have to accept that a great deal of people you'll deal with will not RP fear and will behave like they are a l33t 1v1 tourny.

 

Leave people alone when you die.

Most characters these days are so neutral (capable of both evil and good acts), a full-on villain doesn't impress them. Any good characters people make eventually turn into neutral characters by other's influence. When one is surrounded by monsters, unreasonably murderous people, and every other horror LotC has to offer, it's going to make them become as evil as they need to be to both cope and survive. This causes less lawful good and chaotic evil and more lawful evil and chaotic good.

Honestly, considering your time limit your options are quite restrictive. I would recommend the ET but it seems that you will only be on the team for barely a month and that's even if you get accepted today. Otherwise, to be a big baddie it does take a while or honestly, OOC connections to achieve anything. Just ask around other necros and see if you can accompany them on raids and stuff, seems like the quickest way to pull the antagonist rp for you.

I think the other issue at hand is the increased potential for metagaming. This is completely from my memory but back when I played in the dawn times, people didn't use TS/Skype to co-ordinate as much as it is used now. It's harder to conduct villain RP now because of how easy it is for someone to go "Charles_Grimlie killed me" in skype and now everyone avoids your character like the plague. I had toyed with the idea of trying to play a serial killer, but that all went down the drain once I realized how easy it would be for one person metagaming to ruin the whole thing.

I feel like people here are mostly saying "Join the ET if you want to do VA stuff good" which is something bad to tell the playerbase, you can be a good villain without the neet of ET perks if you do it well.

Thanks for all the feedback everyone! I've already started work on a guide for persons aspiring to be evil based on your input, as well as some of my own. If you wish to criticize it, I guess here or via PM would work!
