Bug Fixes and Changes

I think music only works on Internet Explorer now.

Refer to these to keep up-to-date if your character is to make any comments regarding their dream.

  • Fixed an issue where non-shapeshifters would be allowed to retain memory of March Ash shapeshifting.
  • Changed some of the text describing the September Prince to remove direct reference to Tree Lords. Now you just know druids can become immortal.
  • Fixed an error where you could meditate yourself out of the game.
  • Fixed an error where you could be sent out of the final poem before the poem completed.
  • Clarified the speaker of the final poem.
  • Added some things. Secret things. But no counter!

FAQ

What does my character remember about the dream?

Anything you want your character to, unless the story explicitly describes you as not remembering. So, even the parts where you apparently stay in the dream forever, your character can remember. They do not remember how they stopped being in the dream, in that particular case.

So, you are explicitly only unable to remember (1) what March Ash spoke to you while they were, and following their, shapeshifting, until that ending finishes, and (2) something which I will not spoil here, but will be clearly stated inside the game.

How can I enter the Far Glade?

The Far Glade is accessible by events, usually hosted by either myself or Finalhazard/AwakenMyLove. You can either directly access it via these events, or through particular items handed out by others. In the future, the Far Glade may become easier to access, but that depends on player response, and whether it is positive or not.

Can non-descendant characters experience this dream?

Yes, though from a roleplay perspective, March Ash will simply have mistaken you for a descendant, and simply not have bothered correcting anything they say.

How can I help?

If you really want to help out, send me screenshots of roleplay resulting from this event.

Must my responses be in-character?

It can be! But really, you have unlimited freedom to say what you want.

What is Attitude?

This will appear only after your first play-through, and will give you some help seeking out other endings.

Atlas is an ancient land.

It lay untouched for ages before the children of Malin, Krug, Urguan, or Horen ever set foot on its shores. Misty bogs played home to countless creatures, buzzing in the air and prowling the mud. Proud snow-capped mountains, bare and beautiful, rose from the plains. Their existence glorified creation.

Ancient powers have made this place their battlefield, more than once. Discarded as pawns in those conflicts, the ruined civilizations of the first descendants who came here litter the landscape.

The Far Glade, the greatest of the dreaming realms, has especially close ties to Atlas. For it is here that, long ago, one of the Far Glade’s greatest champions came to rest.

Now that the descendants have arrived once more, the Far Glade stirs with new vigor. The throne of the champion has long been empty. It is time for a new paragon to claim the title, and the power and responsibility that come with it.

A prince of autumn lays in this earth.

All over Atlas, as the descendants lay down their heads to sleep, they find themselves dreaming of a forest below the world. An enigmatic figure calling themselves March Ash offers to guide them. They are immersed in dreams of ancient prophecy, terrible evils, and thrones.

There is much to learn in this dream, about Atlas and the future of the descendants. If you are very lucky, you might find clues that will help you in the wars to come, or stories that will give you an insight few possess.

In this dream, names are powerful things.  For those who particularly lust for knowledge, they can search through Atlas for five locations where sacred names have been left, which can be used to divulge more information from the dream.

Good luck.

The lich could not feel in this form, but he swore now he felt a shiver running down his spine. He halts in his travels and looks around himself before shaking his head. Unable to help himself he recalls his time in the Glade, and coming to learn of his gravestone placed within to signify his past deeds. After a moment's pause he continues on his way, quietly murmuring to himself as he does so.

"It must be the wind. Always brings back memories."

A spider wakes from an unusually troubled sleep, within the captain's chambers of his warship off the coast of Santegia, cannons ever-aiming towards the bay. He'd turn his freshly opened eyes to the timeless tree that typically dominates his dream, before slowly forming the edges of a grin.

"New happenings, friend. We've a title to earn..."

Beneath a tree the young Pantera known as Nemain awakens too, claws digging into the dirt in a shock as her eyes fly open. The Kharajyr peering about in lost confusion before settling upon her new companion. The dachshund duufle half curled up into her defensive ball stares back, wondering what caused Nemain to startle so, before slowly relaxing again. Dwyn gasps softly as he wakes up, breathing heavily and rubbing his hand over his brow. A plea echoing in his head, of daffodils and tulips. He presses his palms over his face and pushes himself out of bed, and brushes the ash from his palms.
