Demetrio had been sitting in his manor, while a storm raged on in the Kingdom of Santegia, he had been writing a letter to his relatives, "Dear mi familia," he wrote, "it has been so long since we have last seen each other in person, I wish to be able to see you all in the flesh and rejoice, you all must meet my children for they are magnificent and muy bonita. I set sail for Aeldin soon, I wish to see you all soon." With that he would attach the seal of Kingdom of Santegia and send the letter on its way. Demetrio would spend the night packing for his trip, for he wanted to set sail as soon as possible, he longed to see his familia again.

The morning of Demetrio's voyage, everything seemed fine. The water was calm, the skies were a beautiful shade a blue, but the city had an eerie atmosphere to it, as if the Iblees himself had arisen, but nevertheless, Demetrio surged on. He would walk to the docks, ready to embark with his son in tow. "Mi hijo, it is time we sailed to meet our family, let us em-" A large group of bandits would rush towards the dock, blades in hand. It was obvious the came to kill the two princes. "Son, there's too many of them for us to defeat... Get on board an go, I'll hold the off."

"But father let me fight!"

"No son, go!" He would push his son on board and with the very few guards there, go to fend off the bandits. His son could only watch in horror as his father went to his death.

"Let me off! I need to go help my father!"

"Nae, if we go back we all die..." One of the sailors said, so Prince Hamza could only watch with tears erupting from his face as he watched his father die, all the guards had been slain and only Demetrio was left standing. He was battered and bruised and bleeding badly but yet he kept fighting, but eventually he would give out. When Hamza looked back, he saw all the bandits on the ground and his father standing. Hamza smiled with joy, but the tears of joy would turn to sadness and despair as he saw his father fall to ground and succumb to his injuries.

Prince Demetrio was dead.

(ooc stuff: Thanks to everyone that said they believed in me and wanted to help me rebuild Santegia, means a lot that you would trust me. Demetrio was my favorite character but due to the abdication, there's no reason for him to exist, so I've decided to pk him. I doubt all return to House de Savin ever as they had a terrible rep and image attributed to them. To be honest I'm just sad man, I loved Santegia with my heart and would defend it whenever someone **** talked it, now I can't do that. But to all you guys who know what I'm dealing with right now, please don't give **** to Kukiii. He doesn't deserve it and I don't want him to get the hate that may come to it.)

Commodus frowns hearing news of his in-law dying, wishing he had given Demetrio some minas instead of calling him a bum.

”This life is chaotic, I should have treated you better cousin.” Commodus solemnly dips his head and mumbles a prayer for Demetrio. He plans to make a trip to Aldenburg to be there for his wife.

On the way to Aldenburg a few days later, an Imperial courier speaks privately with Commodus about Demetrio’s passing which Commodus replied eagerly “How can I mourn Demetrio when I still speak with him? I spoke with him just the night before!” Needless to say, the rest of the trip was quiet.

Yanalia's fingers trembled as Commodus read to her the news, her eyes filling with tears for her lost cousin, and for his poor son, whom she had never met. "Estaras en nuestra memoria…" She lowered herself in grief, already making plans to commemorate the Prince of Santegia.

Chet hung his head low in respect for Demetrio. A man he had fought alongside, and against, many times. But he held his head in shame as well, the shame that he could have seen Demetrio for a last time if he had not missed the d'Montelliano wedding.

Hearing of the news, Menev would hang his sword up for the day. He would not say a word to anyone, just pace up and down the roads near Cloud Temple, occasionally looking up at the sky.

In the time of her father's death, no one had seen the woman's grief save the farmhand. Certainly the tragedy of such a loss could still be seen even after her return, but the discovery and acknowledgment of his death was an almost entirely private affair for Dame Aldonza of Castelo. But this... no blood of Demetrio's could be found in her own. No band of lover's nor shared blade of battles. And yet the death of such a noble man left her far from stoic faced. Nobility in the sense of integrity and virtue. Be his blood blue or red, his nobility was of a different sort. So thus the woman grieved. Among husband and son. Among friends and battle brothers. Her grief was not a silent affair. His death did not deserve lament any other way.
