The recent turmoil between the Duchies of Curon and Adria have brought a profound realization upon the Crown. Since the unity and peace brought to Man by Emperor Aurelius I of House Horen, we have enjoyed splendor and a great increase in our wealth, both in knowledge and coin. But as all Peace and fruitful gain bring, we have become the home of decadence. The Crown’s vassals who now enjoy the Empire have grown slothful, their bellies fat and their populace demotivated. Decadence is the decay of our Society.

 

The Crown neither looks favorably upon the disingenuous behavior between its Vassals nor the brewing conflict between them. Peace may breed decadence and a loss of respect to the ties which bind one another together and to the Crown. But War between Brothers shall only lead to drawn out conflicts for the decades to come.

 

Therefore, in this realization, His Imperial Majesty Augustus I of House Horen guided in grace and wisdom does see it fit to end the Weregild. Henceforth, any aggression levied upon vassals from vassals shall be met with a swift and immediate punishment. In these trying times, we must recall that Man must have order to strive to be with GOD.

 

Further, with the Grace and Wisdom of his Imperial Majesty Augustus I, the Duke Wilhelm of Curon, Duke Ratibor of Adria, their respective Marshals and Chancellors are summoned to the Capital of Man. Failure to meet this summons shall be seen by the Crown as willful disobedience.  (WEDNSDAY JAN 30, 7 PM EST @KosherZombie @ChumpChump @Aetosion)

 

We shall combat decadence only through order and the tightening of the reigns. We shall combat slothfulness only through an increase in devotion to GOD. The Emperor’s Peace shall be maintained, and only the Crown is of the authority to alter this.

“It is a good thing we’ve learned from such idiocy then. This is nothing like a culture of ‘weakness’. You may be craving for the days where the Empire ran rampant with bloodshed.
