COME SWIFTLY FALSE PRINCE

Issued and confirmed by His Imperial Majesty, Antonius of the House of Horen, 10th of the Suns Smile, 1710

Tactful words penned to paper with eloquent wording and deceiving intentions have been scribed by the Rurics of the past to describe their desperate pleas at the hands of “cruel”, bygone Empires. Thus, let us not forget the defeats of Norland and the Ruric-sons in the continent of yore, in which there have been three of such.

I convey a message for Doran of the House of Ruric, a simple request to the “Bulwark of Norlandic Peoples”: Come, share your story within the jewel of the Empire, arrive to the city named after my own mother, Helena. I persist in being the King of Norland and thus it would behoove us to convene, not through letters, but in person - where a man’s character can truly be judged. And you can have due room to explain yourself for the titles that have been stolen, Vilachia from the Raev, Ashford from the Savoyards and the Bulwark of Norland from the Imperials.

But let this missive not undermine what we know of the intentions of you and your kin; the peoples of Clan Ruric have always had a singular mindset, primal in its make: to eradicate the prosperity, unification, and peace that Our Empire strives for. Do not think I have not observed the alliances you are attempting to stir with the empty, baseless forewarnings of an incoming Imperial threat upon others’ lands and livelihoods. And so, I do solicit you to remember the actions of your ancestors to prevent any bloodshed of your peoples -- no human lives need be to taken.

[!] Attached are a set of documents.

@Malgonious

Our people, our armies, and most of all, our Empire is not afraid and shall not be afraid - history has spoken out many times before for the same result to ensue. Let us hope you shall not delve in to the same mistakes as your kin. Arrive to Helena, ‘Good Prince’.

Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.

IN NOMINE DEI

HIS IMPERIAL MAJESTY, Antonius I of the House of Horen, Emperor of Man, King of Renatus, Marna, Mardon, Salvus, Seventis, Savoy, Courland, Santegia, Kaz’Ulrah, and Norland, Duke of the Crownlands, Avar, and Frederica, Count of Helena, Carlostadt, Alamar, Frederica, Thesmer, Thelen, Lorath, and Cantal, Baron of Darkwood, Gravelhold and Pascha, Fidei Defensor, Protector of the Heartlanders, Highlanders, Farfolk, etcetera

Martin frowned upon reading the notice, letting out a chuckle.

Henry silently reads the missive, then lowers the document and leaves his room to find some fresh air.

“The day comes sooner than later.”

Uthred laughs at Martin, for instead, he has made it obvious that either he cannot read, or the one writing that missive cannot write! What a fool have they made of themselves!

Ser Bjolfr would smile at the parchment. “ Antonius was always a bright lad. I was there with his great grandfather and father during the war. Never trust a Runic.”

A lone warrior monk atop the steppes remained sat with his heels flat on the ground; his weight evenly distributed throughout his body. The Easterner had long observed the fighting within the realms of Man, and it came to him as no surprise that his ancient enemy, the Norlander people, had again risen from the ashes of their fallen kingdom. With thinly concealed rage he rose up to the ground in a jump, his porcelain skin awry with a feeling best described as righteous indifference.

”I will have revenge for you, Sensei! I still remember as those Ruric dogs cleaved you asunder...” His accent now grew thick with indignation. ”Akira-san! Muda muda muda!”  The limber and short figure straightened his posture with resounding popping from his joints, before he tied a red Hachimaki around his head and tied the back; a dexterous fabric which had once been bestowed by his teacher, long ago slain amidst the conflict of the Siege of the Krag. He would have his revenge for Akira-san and his Imperial allies, even if it were to be the last thing he did on this earth before rejoining his kindred and Master in the Other World.
