Narthok 10416 Share Posted November 27, 2019 Why we Fight An Address to the people of the AIS issued Winter 1744 Men of the Alliance, thus far our struggle has been one of incredible ease. Wherever we have been opposed we have utterly routed the enemy from the field. Our foe has been smashed under our boot so many times that the number of our victories begin to fade from memory, simply being too numerous to be worth recalling. Whilst our foe has perhaps a single victory. A pathetic ratio, but again an indication of the unmatched strength of our alliance, of the divine righteousness of our cause. When the King of Helena strode from his city in an attempt to reinforce his allies in Haense. Not once, not twice, but three times his forces were utterly and easily thrashed by my own elite warriors. With the Ruberni, the Free Dragon Bloods and the Martyrs each winning themselves particular glories that day. As the sun kissed the horizon he lay on his knees on the steps of Rubern. His crownless head bruised from the tender ministrations of my boot heel, his mouth void of teeth. They having been spilt upon the cobbles. This federation of Heartlanders is pathetically weak, and come the reaping day, Reza shall receive its punishments. For If they had not committed great sin. then a divine punishment such as I would not have been sent unto them. But let us speak less of the weakness of our foes, their failure on the battlefield, nor the fact that their allies and mercenaries beg us behind closed doors to allow them to leave the war. To spare them come our inevitable victory. Our victory in this conflict not being a question of ‘if’ but rather ‘when’. So why then do we fight? No doubt many of you have read the pathetic, nie panicked missives of our foes. Pen wielders spitting bile and poison from within their dark holes. “Barbarian” they cry “Pagan” they squeal, each in turn claiming that I, and therefore the AIS comes to annihilate them, to stomp on their culture and faith. This is a blatant falsehood. This war began after a series of escalations on the part of Haense and the King of Helena, Peter III. After Haense murdered one of my merchants I was threatened with death by Peter III, by way of a stomped skull. I later repaid this threat, albeit with mercy as I allowed him to crawl home after receiving his deserved beating, spoiled child that he is. In light of this serious threat, I approached a variety of other factions and formed the AIS. The intention being to restrain Helenan aggression and ensure the continued independence of all signatories. Later Haense once again aggressed, seizing Auvergenians, members of the AIS upon the sovereign and independent lands of Rubern. Simultaneously violating the defensive alliance that forms the foundation of the AIS as well as violating the independent sovereignty of the Ruberni. Again seeking to avoid a prolonged conflict and bloody war, the war of two emperors so fresh on our mind I demanded weregild of Haense. Once more these two faced cowards refused to answer for their crimes. Eternally playing the victim. Peter III of Helena once more extended a missive to me. Claiming it was we not they that were the aggressors. “I know you are afraid” he said therein “Follow your instincts”. Thus it was war, and Peter’s skull was politely introduced to both my boot and the stones. There is only so much blatant aggression, so many lies and abuses, so many insults any righteous man could tolerate. Peace was always an option, it was they who chose war. These Heartland Kings have slapped away the hands of peace time and time again. The greed, the sloth, the self centered SIN of their lords sentencing so many to die. Our mighty alliance shall march into their pathetic city to deliver just retribution for their crimes. Those criminals who remain shall be executed. For true justice does not require lengthy muttering and review. It is harsh, it is simple. The city shall be placed under the jurisdiction of the mighty and noble lords of Rubern. For they have proven their valour and courage, it will fare far better under their suzerainty than under Helenan mismanagement. The doing day approaches, each second a step closer to the orchestra of death and glory. I ask each and every one of you to march with me, for victory lies just over the hill. Come the reaping day I shall be among you, clad in my gilded plate. Let us live in honour, let us die in glory. Upon the day that New Reza shall be overtaken by our unstoppable forces, it is to the realm of Curonia that I offer a singular saints-day to agree to our terms; if not, then there shall be no mercy provided to your Kingdom. Lest you forget that it is the King of Helena who has stripped the titles from your realm and stripped any semblance of autonomy from your grasp. Legoboy7984 3155 Share Posted November 27, 2019 “Why did you make this so long when it can be so short? It’s rather simple of why you fight and it’s not because you’re ‘defending’ anything it’s because you want war, division, and revenge for your ancestors defeats as the Kingdom of Norland. As a Haenseman, I do not know anything about the merchant that was killed yet I was there when Emperor Peter III raised men to meet you on that chosen field you had chosen with my fellow Haensemen and women doing his lawful duties as its liege. The Emperor, not King of Helena since there is no such thing as ‘the King of Helena’ told you to stand down as he wanted humanity to be at peace with one another not in another war against each other as we all already suffered enough through the War of the Two Emperors. For the incident that happened in Rubern I’m guessing you haven’t told you allies what really happened there.. what happened was an officer of Haense along with a small group of Brotherhood men agreed with a Hansetic deserter who stole from the Hansetic armory in the neutral ground of Rubern since it’s always so empty in order to arrest him and put him in trial for thieft. Once the Haense men arrived they were ambushed by a single Rubern man alongside yourself, Godric, and your Morsgradic soldiers. This war won’t bring peace to you it will only lead to your own downfall in the future.”

The King of Helena’s weakness is what led to this conflict, for if you wish to have peace, then it is wise to carry a large stick.” Godric would reply to the winds, leaning on his cane as he’d stare off into the snow laden gales of a dark northern night. When one falls, we all fall. However, your people would not understand that since you let renatians slaughter your princess all those years ago. He who raises the sword, will die by the sword. Duke Godric will finish what his father and uncle started all those years ago during the War of the two Emperors.” States Alefrik, while sitting by a fire in Morsgrad “We couldn’t do anything to those that slaughtered our Princess due to Emperor Aurelius or Anthonious’s protection towards them. Your Duke’s father and uncle didn’t start the War of the Two Emperors and Haense didn’t either as you well know that it was those who were in the leadership of Ves that started the conspiracy once they heard of the last Emperor of Man who planned on dissolving that Empire. Haense looks for peace and prosperity while your people only are known for two things and two things only that being rebels and warmongerers.” 39 minutes ago, Narthok said: “You kidnapped signatories of our alliance and violated Ruberni sovereignty as your tried to impose your own laws therein, ignoring the commands of the Ruberni to release them and depart. Rubern was led by Vladrick Alimar a man who is friends and cousin to the King. The man who helped raise King Andrik. Rubern used to be friends with Haense and Haense won’t ever forget its once friendship under Vladrick’s rule there. You are a delusional man who calls the Emperor of Oren a title that’s non-existent that being, ‘The King of Helena’. It is you who started this war and who captures citizens and people from there homes and it will come to an end one day so these lands we all stand upon will FINALLY be at peace.”

Cracker 4570 Share Posted November 27, 2019 The accusations of Godric disagreed with the Archchancellor, who was reported to have commented on the widespread missive with particular disgust to his contemporaries. “The thieves den of Rubern is ill-made to administrate a wheelwright’s workshop, let alone the Ruby of Man... What a worthless coalition, spurned by a culture rigid and unmoving for two centuries. The words of Godric are identical to that of Rat Tom Ruric, to that of even his predecessors, the nameless Polaris chiefs. Each could be substituted for another without a shift in tone, vision, or meaning. In those two centuries since the emergence of the Nordling tribes, Oren has added to the tapestry of man through the chivalric legends of the Schism War and the Dukes’ War, the legendary administration of Johannian absolutism, and the unmatched brilliance of Pertinaxi warfare. The Nordlings, in contrast, have only sought to scatter that fabric for personal vainglory and a low, ill-bred envy. Whatever the fate of the battlefield – the war of civilization was won long ago, and will continue to endure. No assortment of Piasts can change that hard truth.”

Your people were unable to keep my daughter caged and so your loosed an arrow into her back as she attempted to make an escape. Your people are sick, twisted and vile creature with no honor. The only conviction and love you degenerates have is for your lives and for your walls.” Qaz says as he smokes a cigar on the dock Mau’Madur. ”They have failed as a military in all but one battle and have shown only fear in the face of true challenge. Crevel 7557 Share Posted November 28, 2019 Mr. Muffins in his Slacks, Graciously Given by Duke Godric. Mr. Muffins slowly churns the hinges of the door forwards, knocking his white-gloved paw knuckle against the firm gateway. “Master, another letter has arrived for you!“ a warm iron steams the envelope that lay on the stainless steel platter, cracking the waxed seal with a smooth crackle in the process. “I hope the warmth of the letter will suffice. We’ve been hit by the coldest that winter has to offer these past few days.“ The platter is lowered to a sitting Godric, offering the unsealed letter as he waits patiently for his Master to open it.
