A missive is sent to all Imperial factions and the cloud temple noticeboards. It would read the following:

 

“We’ve captured a Soldier whose a citizen of Helena. He is a prisoner of war. His ransom is 1.500 minas. Pay his ransom and he will be released. If his ransom isn’t paid in one saint’s hour he will be beheaded by the Marshal of Lorraine.”

 

The letters were signed by 

Ser Stefan Onfroi, Marshal of Lorraine, General of the AIS and scoutmaster of Rubern

 

Solomon de Alence, Count of Pestilles

 

Alli Onfroi, Noble of House Onfroi

Ser Stefan executes an Orenian prisoner. The Imperials showed no heart and wishes to let their own kin die to the hands of the Onfroi’s once again. Rest in peace to the unnamed Soldier of Oren.

((ngl that’s a good way to roleplay it. calling him an unknown soldier resolves the logical inconsistency from the retconned death, and lets both sides have a laugh. much better than calling a character “undead” in a harrison-tier seethepost

At least Stefan died from his acts and bravery. The unnamed Soldier still seems to live! INFACT HE HELPED EXECUTE STEFAN! Orenian men have no honour and are animalistic. They didn't even let him pay his own ransom.

((a response to this ooc response which i find true clownery

you executed people who couldn’t pay their own ransom; so why should the Orenian soldiers accept an enemies ransom and free him? and i know this because i used to be a noble of suffonia who frequently visited lorraine and rubern. with all due respect; killing people isn’t brave. anyways. thanks for coming to my ted talk
