The Funeral of Halvar Edvardsson

Dated 26th of the Amber Cold, Year 46 of the Second Age

With heavy hearts do we announce the passing of former King Halvar Edvardsson. In his life, the late King led our people through some of our darkest times. Under his reign did we see the coming and the defeat of the Inferi, as well as the highest points of prosperity our Kingdom has seen in many an age, until his eventual abdication and retirement. Truly, his was a reign without equal in our recent history. Yet, as we all must, he has met his end. Though the late King did not deign to inform us of his intentions, he was seen leaving the city of Varhelm, only to be returned to us some time later by- oddly enough- soldiers of the Svarling host. It is believed that he chose to find his own death, and died honorably at the hands of the Svarling Warlord.

As is only right, a funeral service will be held in the coming days to commemorate the life and deeds of the fallen former King. All who wish to attend, citizen or foreign, are welcome to join us to see the honored dead off on the journey to the Father’s Halls.

Vane held the smashed helmet before him in his hands "He should be the one who has this, even in death." he says placing it on the table, a worthy gift for his journey to the Father's Halls.
