Dangers of Druidic Spies

A Comprehensive Guide to Inform The Celia’nor Population

Published 19th of The Amber Cold, 108 SA

Ever since I was young, I knew. I knew what lurked in plain sight- what plagued our society right before our very eyes. There is no escape- they exist everywhere: The Druidic Spies. The trees, the birds, even the fish within our waters are all working together to spy upon the innocent- to relay this information to the druii for some malevolent plot against us all. Since a young age, the Wynasul Talonii have informed me of these nefarious activities. Namely, Valyris Ibarellan was the one to enlighten me on this topic. As well, I have been having dreams which reveal the deeper truths of this atrocious conspiracy. Previously, the spies had not claimed much success in their mission. However, the druii’s influence has grown and thus the number of druidic spies. I have been hurt by this information directly, but I still must reveal the truth for all non-believers in this plot. Complacency means death for all of us. Thus, I will be deciphering the twisted, dark truth behind what you all know to be druii.

F L O R A

To initiate this missive disclosing the truth of druii, we must first take a look at what is constantly around us. The plants. The plants have long been corrupted by the druii: their original nature now twisted to a deviant spy made to bend to the will of them. Thus, I will be going over the most common type of druidic spy: the tree.

Trees are everywhere. From the forests, the beaches, even in some parts of the deserts, trees lurk in plain sight as one of the most notorious of the druidic spies. These assailants may seem harmless at first, but have dark intentions of spying on the innocent.

A n a t o m y

The tree’s anatomy may be quite confusing for the average person. However, upon closer inspection, the truth becomes clear. As the leaves mirror a regular ear- pointed and connected to the main body- it is clear that leaves are listening devices of sorts. As well- the connection to the earth through roots is essential. If a leaf or branch is not connected to the main body of a tree or is not connected to the ground, there is no way for it to listen in on conversations.

When it comes to relaying this information to druii, it’s quite a simple process from what I can infer. In the cover of nightfall, the druii creep through the world into unknown places. They prowl into spaces unknown, and connect to a tree which they wish to draw information from. The tortured tree then relinquishes the information for whichever druid wishes to know.

S o l u t i o n s

There are two ways to disable the trees. The first option is to turn them into taliameakaln, as seen in Fi’andria. This effectively dismantles the structure of the leaves- deafening the trees and preventing them from listening in on conversations. Thus, this makes Celia’nor one of the safest places to retreat from the druii’s grasp. The second option is slightly more involved aside from simply cutting down the tree. Burning the trees is an effective way to disable them, given the act of burning them either kills the tree directly, or destroys enough of the leaf structures to deafen the tree. Though there may be other routes to rid the world of this terror, I’ve found these two methods to be most effective.

F A U N A

Now that we’ve discussed how the plants bend to the will of the druii, we must look to the animals as well. Many forest animals bend to the druii’s will, including deer, squirrel, and rabbits. All descendants are also subject to their corruption if they have a weak mind. However, I will speak about two important fiends today: fish and birds.

The fish are an unlikely, but deadly, druidic spy. They lurk in the waters, waiting for the next ship to pass. These corrupted fauna are expert masters of war, as they can track the movement of fleets, and potentially disable those ships as well. On their own, they do not have much power, but in a group, they are a force to be reckoned with. There have been accounts that swarms of these druidic spies could push and pull the currents so greatly, they capsized entire armies. Though there haven’t been any recent attacks, there has been the disclosure of their nefarious activities in Celia’nor. The pond in the square of Celia’nor was revealed to have a tunnel running beneath it, leading to the ocean. No doubt, this was the act of the druii to more properly spy on their greatest enemy. Be careful around bodies of water: they’re always watching…

Now, I present you with one of the most notorious and well-known spies of the air: the pigeon. These nefarious creatures lurk above- looking down on all of us with some sense of piety and prowess which they clearly lack. A moral-ridden creature, pigeons are uncaring to not only the world around them, but even their own kind. When I hunt for these beasts, it seems as though when one is injured, their fellow brethren flee away from the scene, leaving the poor wretch of an animal to succumb to the fate of death. Only the druii can control these corrupted birds. They utilize the bird’s natural lack of empathy against them, bending their will to stalk their victims. The pigeon might as well just be a vulture, awaiting the death of those they prey upon. There are few ways to combat the pigeon- aside from doing the virtuous act of removing the life-form from this mortal plane.

This missive is meant to inform- however- what you do with this information now is up to you. There are two options: ignorance or enlightenment. You can either look at this missive and continue about your life. Return to your family, watch as the druii make moves before your very eyes, and simply choose to do nothing. Do not protect those you love- and watch as everyone around you slowly becomes indoctrinated into their twisted vision for the future. Or now, take this information and do something. Protect those who you love. Do what you can to prevent this sick, corrupted plan from taking place. You are the only one that can protect yourself.

The elfess read this over and stood there for a moment before she busted into a fit of laughter catching her breath after a little wipping a tear from her eye "aspects this is too funny as if we would waste our time to do that when we have much more pressing things to do" she then threw the paper and walked off

Is that my BESTIE Amuletic????

Edit: It's been suggested I add a double-parenthesis, spoiler, or OOC notification to the start of this to signify this is OOC. But I firmly believe if you can't tell the difference then you probably need therapy.

Deimos slowly read over the propaganda, her icy gaze widening with each bold claim. After she finally finished the strange but intense read she placed it down on the table at her sisters home in Nor'asath. "Well shit.." She murmured before glancing around, her eyes landing on a potted plant inside the home.

"

"She has exposed my plans- how can this be?!" Ornthalas Songbird; a new drudic guide gasped towards his newly-found dedicants as he reads this missive eyes wide open "Something needs to be done about this... My brillaint plan- Noooo!" he grumbled loudly. Turning his guide Zaelyn he just asks here "We're going to do something about this, ti?" As he did so his parrot - Vallel - just stared at Zaelyn in disbelieve clearly indicating Ornthalas was talking nonsense once more.
