HIGH_FIRE 5490 Popular Post Share Posted January 20, 2023 The Atrus Covenant Introduction: With the oncoming attack of Cloudbreaker in the lands of Balian, and the increased missives and sightings of the undead, it has become evident to all in Almaris that there is more to come, that we will all soon be besieged by those forces of Iblees and the Necrotic. In order to ensure that all nations are defended adequately from these threats and that all of descendant-kind survive in the Ibleesian war, many nations and settlements have signed this pact in order to work together against the forces of Iblees. Definitions: Darkspawn- A tainted creature such as a vampire, azdrazi, inferi, etc. that holds unnatural power that is used to their advantage in their attacks against descendant-kind. Darkmages- A magi such as a necromancer, herald, mystic etc. that has magic that comes from a dark/evil source and uses it to their advantage in their attacks against descendant-kind. Article I - Ibleesian Forces and the Necrotic The signatories of this treaty shall hereby pledge their allegiance to each other in order to undertake the attack and defence against the forces of Iblees and the necromancers. They will focus on this war against those that seek to destroy the world above all else. Together they will use their full force in order to defeat the forces of Iblees and ensure that no nation falls to the forces that seek to divide us and ruin us. In addition all signatories are also required to share information on such matters. Article II - Testing The signatories of this pact shall all agree to test their population for any darkspawn curse or dark magic that they have. This will be done to ensure all nations remain clean of any accusations of aiding the war against descendants. These tests must be conducted by the nation themselves, and no other nation can test another’s citizens without reasonable suspicion. Additional tests shall be conducted on any attendees or participants of meetings and battles prior to the start of said meetings and battles. Article III - Duration This pact shall endure until one of two conditions are fulfilled. The first is that the war is won and the Ibleesian forces are expelled from the lands of Almaris. The second is that a meeting is held and it is determined by majority vote that the signatories do not want to continue this pact. "They could've established a neutral authority with figures from each nation, to ensure impartiality, but instead they drafted this piece of already-used-chamberpot-paper to demonstrate to the world the sheer lack of regard is paid their demonic tormenters. It's clear that at least one, but probably more, of the signatories are Azdrazi or Azdrazi-Harbourers, and that this treaty is worth less than the paper its authors shat upon. With a hum, the young Novellen pictured their impending victory over Cloudbreaker and the undead hoard. "Pater will be proud, this was all my idea!" The girl continued on for the rest of the afternoon, pestering any who might listen about how impressive and wise she was.
