Agreed if we get rid off the minas everyone would be mod hunting which doesn't fit my character very well.

Idea!!!

Let the VIPS get into the New world first give them a nice little perk but im VIP so Idk how others would feel.

What is the reasoning for letting the VIPs on first? VIPs already enjoy many perks, and it doesn't really make much sense to just keep adding on new perks for people who donate to the server out of support for the server (and not simply for the perks)

In all honesty, this is the only idea that I like at all, and even then there are not many ideas here that I think make sence. Wiping everything and starting over? Forget about your money, items, buildings, castles, towns or cities you have created - come to the brave new world and start all over again please. I am sorry but not only does it not sit well with me but it seems to be a horribally unfair and crippling to the people who invested their time (and/or real life money) into this game.

Why can it not be like the discovery of America? If people want to start totally fresh they should be allowed to migrate over with nothing, and live in the "native" civilization that Dev's create. Then it can be discovered and migrated to like the americas were, with both worlds in play for a while at least. It would lead to some awesome rp with the conflicts of colonization ect that would happen.

I am probably gonna start a new character and leave my all my stuff behind as well. But just wondering are they going to try to fit this into the lore somehow? Like the Undead have taken over and all that jazz or something :?:

I know the GMs probably already know how the cites are going to be put in, but I'd like to see each nation have an area about 10-15 minutes walk (minimum, 20+ even better) and all they get is forest/plains/mountain/desert for elf/human/dwarf/orc respectively with a campfire signalling the centre of their land and from there, it is up to the nations players to build their cities from scratch under the leadership of their rulers.

I also support the start from scratch for everyone (maybe VIP donators get their minas, but not for a week or two after the new world has begun so they don't have a huge advantage from the start?) I know people have worked hard for their possessions, but in the end, they are just things and things don't make your character.

Why would we travel to a new continent without some Minas? we're not just appearing in this new continent, we're traveling to it.

Minas could be kept?, but perhaps at a certain cap?

still in development, ofcourse.

We want this to be fair, and RP.

And it seems they clash abit.

I just woke up, and now have read everything that was written in the comments.

@People who want their stuff

To be completely honest, whining about time spent really just makes me care less. I haven't seen any sort of argument against Tabula Rasa that isn't "I DESERVE IT BECAUSE I SPENT TIME ON IT". Acting entitled won't get you anywhere in my books, however, I have had an idea in my head for quite sometime.

Note this is preliminary, and NO ONE but me has brought this up. I don't say that to imply I work harder, but I want you to know that this is NOT official.

Essentially I want to create a system similar to Sets you find on Survival servers. Allowing players to pick between varied Sets that have heavy Pros and Cons. Ex/ 3 Diamonds that are worth something in the long run, compared to 500 minas and a stack of bread.

Now I don't know how players feel about this, but I personally think it is potentially more balanced than just aiding the Vet. Players. Obviously we would need to flesh it out more, but as for now just let me know how you would feel about this if, hypothetically, it was a finished, balanced product that was implemented.

I like the idea, kind of like provisions provided by the governments upon set up? I had a similar thought earlier, but was only going to recommend different sets for people depending on their status pre-move (i.e. something different for nation leaders or nobility/generals/etc)

Anyways, I would support the idea. +1

We arn't really whining (well I'm not) about the whole loosing items/minas. It's just the fact that we worked for them. Like if you had worked your whole life to get one thing just to have it taken from because someone said "Cause it will be fun or exciting". That would really grind my gears. As I know a total reset would be really fun. How would it fit into the lore? Even of we do have a mass Exodus, people would still carry some belongings with them right?

*Cough cough* One way trip. You keep whatever is on you once you go. At the point of logging in during this mass exodus, which should last at the least a week to give everyone time to get over, your goal should be to get whatever belongings you find to be most valuable and find your loved ones, then RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUN. This is a basic suggestion that seems like it would work in my opinion. Expand on it however you like, but it would always come back down to this.

Edit: Also, yeah, as a diamond donator, I spent my 20k on a house at CassieLand. It exists outside of the Aegis economy so to say, so I would love my 20k donator bonus again once the world has restarted. But here's the thing. What about diamond VIPs who haven't spent a Minas. Sure, mine is all gone, it's in Cassies money stack now. But it still exists, so refunding me would only make sense to take it back from her. Not cool to do. So, even if it pains me to say, diamond donators shouldn't get that 20k back.

Have you already thought of lore for the map whipe?

I feel it has to be all or nothing. I hope it's more all and less nothing.

In my opinion...

Losing everything, bad.

Getting to bring over only minas, also bad.

Getting to bring over minas and whatever you can hold in inventory, acceptable.

Getting to bring over minas and a double-chest of items, fantastic.

Why do I think being able to take over only minas is bad? Because the economy will be silly. The first person to kill a spider and get that 1% diamond drop could put it up for 5000 and would sell it in a minute. Whatever anyone got, they could sell for whatever they wanted.

But if you brought over NO minas and NO inventory, whomever you put in charge of the cities, or the merchant district or residential district in the cities, could charge whatever they wanted for a merchant stall or a house. Even if they made it really affordable, you'd pretty much be setting them up on a pedestal of wealth and power right from the start. As someone who's had to work for what he got, i'd feel rather discontent with that, and if I was offered one of those positions, i'd feel bad accepting it, as in my eyes, it's entirely unfair to everybody else.

Best bet is to allow minas to transfer, allow property ownership to transfer to the new cities when they're built if you own land in a city already, and allow for a limited item transfer as well. Yes, that obviously 'benefits' me and other land owners, but I think i've shown examples of how it could go pretty bad otherwise.

Have you already thought of lore for the map whipe?

Something involving the undead and ascended and mutual annihilation, since they're slated to be removed from the game in LOTC 2.0. Seems kinda like it would HAVE to be something along those lines.
