Oh_Ontario 235 Share Posted May 21, 2023 The End of an Era Spoiler As we watched our world finally crumble around us, the Community Team wanted to bring forth an arts contest to sway the creativity across the transitory period of the two maps. The theme can cover everything from remembering the two and half wonderful years spent on Almaris, to the apocalyptic destruction brought about by the Mori, and everything in between. To sign up and join this event, you will submit your IGN: DISCORD: CATEGORY OF CHOICE: TITLE OF YOUR PIECE: This month’s Battle of the Arts will consist of THREE categories: - VISUAL ART - CREATIVE WRITING - SKINNING VISUAL ART & SKINNING - Can't include NSFW, Major Gore, or any explicit imagery. - You will be disqualified for going against any of these rules or plagiarizing someone else's art as your own. - The theme is ‘The End of an Era’; your creativity can flow in any direction. I haven't really been on the server very long and my persona, Aurora Diana Vuiller, a human, is my first persona on the server, just in my late twenties and accordingly I haven't experienced that much yet. But I have seen people come and go. I've seen people my persona knew die and a new time dawned of which she didn't know whether it would be good or bad. So I decided to draw a church and incorporate different aspects of my persona. She comes from a devout family, but she herself is not in any way, as she simply cannot believe in a God after her life has taken such a negative turn. She doesn't like to be herself, but the Roa family supported her with everything they could and so I added the moon and the sun to the church windows. The church here is meant to represent her family, while the figures and statues on the pillars are meant to represent special people. Who the king and the angel should be, however, remains to be seen, because that will probably be written in the stars. But the king who seemed the most positive and somehow important in her life was the former king of Haensen.
