The Barony of Verskaya is delighted to announce the matrilineal marriage of Baroness Alyona Rhetta Sviatovna Godunov and Lord Malcolm Sigmund Gant. Having grown alongside each other since childhood, causing mischief upon the lands, Lord Gant proposed to the baroness during the End of Lifstala Gala in front of the kingdom. Through the rite of marriage, they shall be unionised forevermore to uplift and support one another through both the ups and downs life hurdles their way.

I. CEREMONY

In the Everadian Basilica, the nuptials shall be performed by His Holiness, Pontiff Sixtus V where the couple will exchange their vows. His Excellency, Ser Vlad shall be walking Baroness Godunov down the aisle in place of her father figure, the late King Georg I, and her brother Anatoliy Altair Godunov.

II. AFTER-NUPTIAL JUBILATION

Due to their reputation as party-goers, Lorraine Lane will be decorated courtesy of the Duchess of Valwyck. The citizens of Hanseti-Ruska can revel in drinks, alcohol, and a night of dancing along the streets of Valdev. A wedding cake catered by Little Acre, a once-Petran bakery in Almaris, will be the centrepiece in the soon-to-be baron-consort’s favourite flavour: carrot. All are encouraged to bring high spirits and enjoy the merriment of the occasion.

Malcolm Gant had been waiting for this day for far too long. He paced up and down the halls as he awaited the day of the wedding. Was he nervous, excited, maybe both? It was going to be a big day for the both of them, a step in a new direction. And with her by his side.

Fabian d'Arkent-Kortrevich receives his personal invitation with no shortage of glee, delighted to see childhood friends married at last and honored to be thought of in their preparations. He pins it to the wall above his own desk, circling the date, and sets at once to a hunt for a gift worthy of such a well-matched couple.

Marlene von Alstreim squealed and took the invitation right out of her uncles hands. “Ah wedding? A real wedding? Will she wear white Onkle?”

While unpacking old trunks filled with treasures, Manon Yvaine came upon a set of jewelry, gifted at a previous Godunov marriage, some decades before. Smiling fondly at the sight of her old handiwork, Manon set the items aside. House Godunov needed, she felt, some relics of its own.

ALEKSANDRA had awaited an invitation like this for years, spinning in place as it arrived in her hands. Quickly, she threw herself into work; the Ruthern had to ensure Alyona would not be without the perfect gift.

"After everything, ea could hardly miss this now."

Viktor looked over his invitation, faint but tender smile on his lips, before he set the paper aside. The Ruthern's smile was replaced with a stoic mask, later, when he left his family's manor in search of his own betrothed.

A man stared into a fireplace as he saw his invitation burn. If one could have seen his face, his expression would be a mixture of hate, anger, desperation and melancholy. One paper burnt did not satisfy him, he quickly dumped many letters into the fireplace, but that wouldn't make him satisfied either. Perhaps something else burning could mend a broken heart.
