Amelia slid into a creaking, wooden pew in Aaun's chapel. She held the missive in one hand, and a golden rosary, gifted from her father, in the other. Outside the wind whipped through the air, seemingly screaming. But, in this brief moment of prayer - The Baroness found hope. She rose from the pew, exiting the tired, creaking chapel, tears dripping down her flushed cheeks, strolling past the palace and into the Varoche Manor, staring at a portrait of Charles, her younger brother, and Sigismond, her father.
