It was with great sorrow that tidings of wood elven stubbornness came to the Blessed Bastion, that it should be vain ambition that decides the fates of many. 

 

The marching of Mali’thill shook the forest not a year past, and none of the rangers brought news of our approach to the wooden citadel. Though in that hour, it would have come as a trifling task for the legions of silver to break the gates asunder and disperse the scant defenders. However, in good faith, our messenger ventured forth alone, bearing the terms of Elcihi’thilln at the peril of his own life.

 

The Motherland will not be consigned to the annals of history as it passively lingers, caged upon its island home. The Blessed Bastion will not be deprived of the plentiful pastures where both animal and crop thrive. Above all, those with blood of silver will no longer be turned astray from their destiny, wallowing in the quagmire of ignorance while the stride for progress lays forsaken.

 

We took great care to offer Nevaehlen the opportunity to avoid the spilling of elven blood so precious and rare, but it is with a heavy heart that we acknowledge that which we must do.

Let it be known that if hubris were ever to subside, Elcihi’thilln pledges that the way of life of our cousins shall remain undisturbed and that the Matriarch, Miven Caerme’onn, shall maintain stewardship over her realm so that we, together, may pursue a brighter future.
