Aces__1 180 Share Posted March 13 The Joining of Legacies Published by the Cerusil and Py’lrie Councils Through passing time, two young souls filled with love and pure adoration have stayed at each other's side for seven longing years. Together as one, have they traversed through the bountiful journey of cherishing one another through the most blessed of days, and protecting and nurturing the other in the most difficult of times. Following the same path many of their elders had engrained, it is a great pleasure to formally announce the upcoming nuptials of Lady Nefeli Py’lrie and Lord Aleran Cerusil. ITINERARY The Celestial Union The evening will begin with a grand ceremony, as a vast array of specially curated and aged wines, among other beverages are served to those who witness to enjoy both the bride and groom joining together in the eyes of the law within the Principality of Celia’nor. The Coastal Vows As the vows between the soon-to-be wed are exchanged, both the bride and the groom of each respective Talonnii will overlook a body of water. It is a Py’lrie ancestral tradition of one’s matrimony to be facing the sea or some substituting form of water, as thus stems from ancestral history of those who embarked to explore the grand sea with their deemed soulmate. The ceremony will be held at Celia’nors secluded grove on the 17th of the Sun’s Smile. A Peculiar Pledge The bride and groom will each crush a carved skull specially prepared for the occasion, a tradition rooted deep within the Cerusil’s history but has not been practiced since before Illarion Ibarellian’s rule. The belief behind this ritual is that both souls will break past the chains of the flesh and body, allowing them to find each other and for their love to persist evermore should they be felled in battle. Lofted Banquet Beginnings As the skulls are effectively smashed by the bride and groom, another of the Cerusil traditions will begin immediately after. The extended talonnii of the now wedded couple will move forth, hoisting the pair up into the sky before walking them towards the banquet area. Once reached, a grand night full of music, dancing, and food will conclude the occasion. At that time, guests are welcome to offer any gifts to the couple they may have, but such is not a requirement.
