It is with great pleasure and the warmest of hearts that I, Princess Mattea Asadha of the Petra, invite you to join me for an exquisite High Tea at the Citadel, in the beloved capital city of Vallagne. In the spirit of refinement and conviviality, you are welcome to grace this occasion with one guest of your own choosing. Kindly bring, in addition, your favorite spirit or wine and a cherished snack that sings to your soul, so that together we may indulge in the tastes and traditions that make our respective realms so uniquely splendid.

 

Our tables shall be adorned with a sumptuous selection of Aevosi teas, including the floral elegance of Celestial Jasmine from Celia’nor, the smooth allure of Velvet Oolong from Koyokuni, and the invigorating warmth of Petra’s own Sunrise Chamomile. Complementing these fine brews will be an array of delectable finger foods: for savory hors d'oeuvres, delight in the delicate Rose Petal Canapés, the crisp Golden Saffron Arancini, and the refined Smoked Trout Crostini; for desserts, savor the sweetness of Honeyed Almond Brittle, the enchanting Vanilla Bean Petit Fours, and the sumptuous Fig and Walnut Phyllo Rolls.

 

Intermittently, our gathering shall be enlivened by delightful parlor games designed to spark conversation and camaraderie — games such as The Name Game, and Whispered Secrets. It is my earnest hope that you will take this opportunity to forge new and lasting relationships, speaking with those whose paths you have yet to cross, as we celebrate the vibrant tapestry of the gathered company.

The Name Game: In this delightful icebreaker, each guest is invited to introduce themselves with an alliterative epithet that captures a facet of their personality or station (e.g., “Magnificent Mattea” or “Eccentric Earl Eric”). Once all have spoken, participants will then be challenged to recall the creative descriptors of their fellow attendees. This game encourages both attentive listening and a lighthearted sharing of one’s identity, setting the stage for new connections to be forged over the artful play on words.

Whispered Secrets: This game is designed to foster familiarity and trust among guests. Participants form a circle, and one person chosen at the hostess’s behest begins by whispering a delightful, perhaps humorous secret or a personal anecdote — nothing too scandalous, mind you! — to their neighbor on the left. That neighbor then whispers what they heard to the next, and so on, until the secret has traveled around the entire circle. At the end, the original secret is revealed, and comparisons are made between the original and the final iteration, sparking laughter and gentle conversation about the nature of communication and memory — and how it may have affected history in much similar ways.
