Do you want the Undead to return?

  1. 1. Do you want the Undead to return?

    • I would like it if the Undead returned as well as the Ascended
    • I would want a good & evil to be implemented instead of the Undead/Ascended
    • I do not want the Undead re-implemented at all
    • I believe it should stay as it is, without an evil/Undead

What gets to me though about litches though is that they have the same power as the undead yet... In all terms of rp we have never seen them once. Not once in this scale of power. Then suddenly we have litches that apparently are as powerful as the undead that turn up, God modded, shooting lightning and FLYING then they just bugger off never to be heard from again? Did you not read my last post you two? Mogs, the one who did the event said this was a one time thing. Not a new evil.

So in RP what has happened is something exactly like the undead has come along and then buggered off again never to be seen again. I'm sorry what? How is that good RP and lore that a group we have never heard of just pops up without even gaining power over time in RP and just casts a light show like the undead. At least with the bloodmages we did the RP of us getting stronger. Until the admins pulled the plug on it and we are now stuck with an inferior concept of the undead that isn't even staying around. There is hardly any lore, any back story, any anything really apart from they showed up, they shoot lightning, they /shouted curses and everything.

What I am peeved off a lot about is that this IS the undead, only crapper. At least with the undead there WAS a story. With these lot they haven't done any build up RP or anything the least bit interesting past a mob vs player PVP fest.

If your going to do something exactly like the undead why not bring the better of the two concepts back instead of just taking this knock off one...

I am negative for a reason, IT, IS, THE, SAME, THING.

I didn't see it like that Blunder, I understand more, and that idea I made I just added to put something out there I had know plans for it, heck I wouldn't even really like it, I just didn't give a sh*t if that were to happen. I did read your post Blunder and pretty much every post in this topic that you've made I'm sitting there nodding my head with a smile on my face because I know how you feel, well I think I know how you feel.

Oh and to the undead doing there on thing and with not big events I remember back in Aegis my brother becoming a minion of the undead and his character was my nephew when my character was in the F.O.A. so you could basically say a minion of the Ascended. I remember them fighting an Ascended force that was maybe 100-150 blocks away from them and every other night they would go into a little battle but no body really won. That was really fun for him and for me to watch, I even got to do some fighting for him whenever he had to do something real quick. Though I only did what he told me to do.

It seems that a lot of people want the Undead back. Why not just give them a trial period, with a new set of rules, and see how they go for 3 weeks. They will be able to create their own RP, and not have god-mode. Why not let the players decide?

If this were to happen it would destroy rp, people see the undead are back tell their nations so on so on, then the undead lose their trial and they decide no more undead, all that rp that happened would just be a waste, it be like a giant (( Opps Void That .-. )) Do you understand my point?

Liches = Knockoff the Undead

Stop knocking off the awesome concept, and just re-use it?

Alright, I see your point. But we could easily RP it that they are weaker, and we manage to finally defeat them?

But yes, I agree with Salamandra. We honestly should just bring them back, instead of bringing in rip-offs of them.

(that don't even stay around) I might add to that last statement

Yes, Blundermore, I read those posts. I know Mog said it was a one time thing. Doesn't mean it HAS to be. Sure, they're like the Undead. So what? I don't see ANY way for the Undead to come back, and if they did, it would ruin the whole point of the Aegis battle. I honestly would LOVE to have the Liches be an evil, (While nation conflict still being the main evil), because why not? Why CAN'T they be? They don't have to do things in a matter of days, it could take IRL weeks for them to do something.

Well honestly, with the power of a god at their fingertips, the Undead were able to conjure armies of undead, and create floating cities. It'd only be a certain amount of time before they would be able to figure out how to re-open a portal and enter the world. And if they did escape the nether, they'd currently be in Aegis. They'd be able to figure out that we left, and would search for where we went. And thus, the big portal to the Verge is still intact, they'd go through it, and search the Verge. Tada, Asulon.

I'll tell you why in lore why they can come back and will. First time, when the four fought iblees for 30 years it ended with an army of Anguels and Daemons taking Iblees down and sending him to the void. Iblees cursed us before hand though with greed, bloodlust, short age, and infertility. HIS evils were implanted in to us.

Fast forwards... Aegis wars happen, the undead come, iblees pulled himself out of the Void where he was banished in the first war using the evils placed within the mortals of the world. After large wars and loss of life the undead are defeated in their greatest victory, the mortals and Ascended sacrificing aegis to the wolves of the undead in a last bid attempt to seal iblees away and make their flight to the portal worth while. Iblees is banished to the void once again.

Asulon, 45 years have past, most of those who remember the undead are gone, few heros of the old world remain, with the evils and curses of iblees STILL effecting us with short life, greed, blood lust and infertility.

We haven't changed anything, only delayed the finaly by 50-100 years.

Ok, sure they have the ability IC to come back. But why? Like I said, that'd completely ruin the whole point of the Aegis battle, all of that RP would be for nothing because what we fought to destroy, would just come back. I know I'm not the only one who thinks that would be incredibly cheap.

Your point is?

Life isn't fair, neither is Roleplay. Sure, your characters died to hold the Undead back almost 50 years, which is a very big feat in itself, but when something has the power to do something they want, they'll do it.

Humans can cut down trees, so we do it. And though there are strikes about how much paper we waste and yaddayaddayadda, we still cut down trees.

Humans = Undead

Trees = Undead breaking the seal on the nether and returning

Blunder I also wanna note the years of ship travel searching for Asulon, oh and wanna note to Ivran that why come back? Because they wanna rule the world and can actually come and have another chance, there isn't much stopping them, we defeated them in hopes that they would be defeated once and for all, though the wiser of people knowing it was just a delay, and guess what IT WAS!

Because we have delayed the end, the final point, the last stand. Iblees is a cycle, he will keep coming back, again and again, and again... the only way to stop this is to find a way to KILL HIM, AND MAKE HIM STAY DEAD.

Closure, propper closure, that is why. The Aegis event was a complete and utter shambles and served no purpose. Only 8-9 people got to actually take part in the event and the rest just ran around screaming.

The Aegis event had no real purpose, clinging onto that and saying that we are being cheap by discounting that piece of cr*p they called the "final event of the undead" is cheap in its' own right.

"One night, in Asulon, the people drift away to sleep as per usual. However today, when Asulon dreams, there will be no turning back. There is one part in the entire world that leads to the nether, and that is inside the volcano. Now, I have seen posts about bringing back a good and bad force. Whether that is the undead, or another force. This could be how it's introduced. They join through people's dreams, and after being attracted to this world, the people of Asulon are free to roam. Let not this world's beauty deceive you, for when you die, your body gets forfeited to the daemons that have brought you here. Allowing them to enter Asulon. Meanwhile, in Asulon, the forces of Good gather as their loved ones seem to have all gone into comas when they go to sleep. They find a way to break through the world barrier, allowing them to rescue those who are still alive inside the dreamworld. However, those who awoke naturally, are not who they once were. Common signs of a daemon having intruded is memory loss, demanding of information, and a harsh attitude."
