What we have to agree on though is a lesser of two evils here ( excuse the pun ). People will always whine about it either way because it is impossible to please everyone. But what would you rather? That there was ALWAYS something in the form of rp that you could fall back on no matter what? Or the somewhat stale rp we have now? I don't know about you but any rp that brings the server together again is a lot more enjoyable than not having it at all.

Ooc reason for why people didn't like the undead "because they lost their stuff", that is unfortunately tough, but it is also a game and so it shouldnt matter if you loose anything on here. condeming an entire group's rp over the fundamental basic of their role is just stupid and unproductive.

I mean, are we to condem the orcs to be destroyed because of their rp? What of the kha? Their rp consists of running around as a furry saying they're better than us, are they to be condemned too? Dwarfs, they hide in their mountains and rp reclusively, is that going to condemn their rp as well?

You can whine over he fundamentals all you want of an evil, but no matter what happens don't just condemn them simply because the fundamentals of their rp is being evil.

They're evil FFS, of course they're going to annoy the hell out of you and try and kill you, that is their role play, to be evil. I mean what? You would want to be able to have a tea party with a walking corpse? No you wouldn't.

While I do not appreciate their squabbles, every player is a part of the decision! That is what LoTC Is about, a player oriented experience~

Just look at the amount of votes for adding an evil to the server instead of leaving it. The majority of the server wants an evil to be added. It is a player oriented experience, and the players want them back.

This is actually rather frustrating for me now. I just need to glympse at one of Candles videos to long the days where the thunder would roar and towns would panic, where the undead would flash from nowhere and cause the havoc which we all craved. Nowadays, as Blundermore has said, the stale RP is overwhelming, and honestly, I don't enjoy it like I used to. I have nothing to look forward to, I don't get excited when a group of 5.. 6 individuals bowl it around and demand minas... that's not fun. Some would say "Well, they were too OP..." Isn't that the fun of it? As a normal player, I say I LOVED the fact that they were OP, just gazing upward as the lightening strikes down upon us, as the lava falls and those hooded undead crouch at a rooftops. If all of them were terrible RPers, then I'd have a reason to complain, but the fact is, they were excellent.

So, to those who say "I don't want them back" or, " I want a different type of good/evil roleplay", do you seriously think they will be anything compared to the memories of the Undead, Ascended and the snowy fields!?

Those days where we would get online, people would be running, screaming as the Undead attack, as the streets fill with tainted substance and you would stand there, weak, clutching to an iron sword yelling "For Aeriel!", oh yes, of course we were to die, but that exhilaration as we ran through the crowds, arrows firing around us and lava burning to the skyline, the exhilaration was something nothing can compare to.

To be honest, I am positive that a large amount of our server has actually left due to lack of decent RP, or just longing for those days to return. The chances are, they probably won't, but as it stands, we could rekindle the RP most used to love...

Yeah, I loved UNK. People were so terrified of the Undead that they'd always walk so far around UNK so they couldn't be seen. I also have great memories of running away from it and trying to dodge numerous lightning bolts. It was never as good after UNK in my opinion but they were still great.

I was just watching a Candle video the other day because I couldn't do anything with our t.v. down and constantly having to help my mom, and I started to laugh again, it was hilarious watching the 4th episode I think where Riizu Candle and some other Aeriel mortal dude went to the Undead Fortress and were blowing up the walls and blinking and stuff then sneaking because there was two minions who stood behind while the others went and attacked, and they saved Okonkwo and then when they were traveling away on the kings road they ran into Trevmo and Candle yelled Undead! and Trevmo was like Not Again! and started running and they were blasting things at him and like 15 people were chasing him, I'd say those days of LOTC were a blast. :mrgreen:

Sorry, scottish heritage and all... To be fair England did try to subjugate my ancestors into what is considered slavery and slaughtered over 6,000 of us in our own homes and villages, men women and children... Well technically it was the Normans posed as the new kingship of England by the good grace of the Pope of that time. Coming from England is a very broad term now as there is saxon, picts, Norman, Roman, Gual and even a trace of Dane.

But... that is all water under the bridge now... mostly.

The thing is; We can't make anything official unless and Admin, and a damn senior one at that, made the call to let them back in. APPARANTLY Cataris' staff and Regaki have the power to bring back the Undead IG. If thats true...
