Return Of The Undead & Ascended?

I think the Ascended should be brought back, seeing as they used to play a big-ish role in the RP. But from what I have read, the Undead would be a complete and total annoyance..

That's refreshing... He is the first to say that on this entire post instead of just discounting us because they hardly saw us... Though be it I would love to be able to make the ascended a "wisest seers" group. In which we would give council to those who seek and and would be revered as old relics of a termoilst time.

However some think oocly that their characters, most of which are aged 20 odd know better than 700+ year old ascended... I would like to see ourselves take on something like that. In fact we already do in some respects it is just that not many seek us out for wisdom and those who do always come to me simply because I'm the only one they can find. No doubt if they found one of my less known kin they would learn the same knowledge they would have had they found me.

Although peace time rp and war time rp are two different things, people seem to want some sort of evil, I guess we have to oblige with something to sully their taste or else there won't be much point to the advisor rp of the ascended as all rp slowly grinds to a stone cold halt.

I hate to be a Wow ripoff here, but 'demons' would be a good concept, since everyone is so feverently debating about liches and undead.

I actually think keeping the Undead back is bad RP. Why? Because Goldrim threw himself and the axe into the wrong pit. Apparantly, it would only damage the Nether, not make it collapse. Honestly, it would take around 3 years for Iblees to break free and make a new portal.

Problem with daemonic is the fact that we have anguels and Daemons already... Better question, what is a demon that doesn't follow the dogmatic ideal of christanity background? Where would these lot come from seeing how Daemons are not inherently evil and Daemons if they were to be a threat are on an entirely different level to us.

I would say that the only place we could expand apon is void beasts as there is little we know of what lurks in the void next to iblees, other plains, monks and ascended. Have some sort of "warp" inspired theory where the void is infact a dimension of the mad occupied by fouler things that what can't be concieved by mortal minds.

A while back I had been watching this show called "Ancient Aliens". In it, I was mentioning all of these big sculptures and paintings of huge men, Giants if you will, they stood about 15 ft tall and were much stronger. Possibly, they were mixed blood of the angels and humans. The angels were commanded by God to protect the humans, but they noticed something special about the humans. The humans had the breath of the lord in them, this made them jealous. So they mated with the humans so their spawn would be better or something like that. Well after watching that, I got the idea to write some lore for LotC about this, but I was very busy OOC-ly at the time. I forgot about the idea until this topic was brought up. What I am saying is, what if this happened in LotC and a battle began between them and us, or some other conflict, maybe they help us against Iblees, I never could get an idea for their presence. Tell me if you like this idea and I may go back to writing lore. I could never figure our if either Anguels or Daemons were good or evil. May be they have a war in between them or something.

Maybe the portal should be re-introduced? I mean, it would make sense if Iblees has been working on another portal all this time, and it would actually bring some action into the RP.. But I don't mean monsters spawning at rapid rates, and undead flooding from the portal destroying every guild and order in their path.

If that were to happen then having the Nether look kind of destroyed from all the fights and such, also skulls in places... Smell of blood in the air. Things like that, that make the scenery much more ominous for the average players imagination.

Please no. The Undead were great while they lasted but bringing them back would make all the events banishing them back in Aegis completely pointless. Also, the Ascended spent more time building in Aeriel's Keep than actually RPing...

I read it but to me it would be really annoying to fight the Undead again after they were announced OOCly to be gone forever.

Why would it be annoying? Try to give some valid reasons as to why this would annoy you so much. I too fought the Undead and want them to come back. It would not annoying to me, it would be epic.

While I enjoyed the undead/Ascended conflict.. I can assure you the community will B*tch and moan about it once it's here, whining because a undead killed them and they lost their precious diamondz.. So I would like a take of the good/Evil conflict, but I can see those who did the same in Aegis whining about this again, making this thread useless as no one will ever agree ^^ And always will people moan about the little things.. .w.
