An enigmatic man, bearing the title of the teal-faced marauder's right hand, visibly frowns at the missive. "Lady you killed my neighbors."

Somewhere in the woodland, a man cloaked in purple hues muttered angrily to himself. Van Aert sigils decorate his sides and arms, mementos of his once great uncle. "Never another surrender, never another Sarkozic. To hell with Adria, here we stand for the midlands!"

A figure dressed in ragged purple awakes with a startled expression, the gangrenous and sickly figure towering above him levied forward a small piece of parchment. "It's for you, Traveller." His voice croaked and scratched, flehm and mucus welling up between every choked out word. Hans quickly grabbed a hold of the worn page, looking over it first with intrigue then with a sense of undying pride. "My cousin? My cousin! That's my cousin!"

A forlorn face scrunched up in hatred as the missive fell before it, a calm stoic expression contorting into a violent scowl. An old soul cursed the names of every Raev bastard that had come to march upon them, the eternal peace wall gone violent. "Betrayed, at our most vunerable. I told you, liers, all of them!"

Hans van Aert glances over the missive, a mortified expression gripping his gaunt face.

An unnamed soldier glances out from behind the rickety cabin door, eyes scanning the treeline. "Can you see them? How many more are there?" Comes a terrified whisper from the back of the room, one of his many shuddering comrades muttering from behind clenched teeth. "I don't know Andrei, there is a whole GOD damned army out there." The grizzled man spat back in a low, hushed tone. Inbetween the trees, over the river and across from the encampment he could see them. Tens of men, marching in lines, ordered, disciplined, swirling with hatred and rage. "Peace? Is this what they call peace?"

An ancient ally WILL be there. By any means necessary.

I said this earlier on this thread and I'll say it again, the end goal of every human project in server history has been to build something for others to join and grow, or join something to help it grow. This is the end goal of EVERY SINGLE HUMAN NATION, VASSAL, TOWN, ECT. This level of historical revisionism is mind melting why did you post this.

The end goal of any human project in my mind is to become part of something greater, or become that greater something, by any means necessary. The point of every prominent enjoyable human project I have participated in during my tenure on the server has been to achieve some sort of greater unity or solidify some region of the human niche. Highlander, Heartlander, what have you, it's always going to be the ideal end goal for any human project. You either join something and help it grow, or grow something for others to join. That is it. We can't kick sandcastles for 3 generations and then expect there to be anything left to build off of. I'm sorry but most of these irrelevant nothing states should just be vassals of something. I see the server through a human player filter because I only every really participate in humanity, so forgive me if that take is jaded. I'm not saying we need an Oren, but we need change. I never thought I'd say this but I actually agree with James2K slightly. On the topic of realms, I was a GM for a year and a half and saw a lot of realms come and go. Most of them don't necessarily need to exist in any real capacity, and simply exist to fill niches not accurately catered to by pre-existing communities. Most should be vassals though. Also it doesn't matter what GMs think mod admin has technical final say on everything, and beyond that admins can really do whatever they want team input or not. There is a voting system but if you excuse my cynicism I don't think it really matters. GMs get thrown under the bus by red-tags enough (shoutout SpoopyDuck) so I wont kvetch about it much longer. Admins wont help us yada yada its up to player culture and player actions blah blah blah. We have to change the server they aren't going to do it for us.
