  1. Lanre Cerusil, after giving a green item to a random Adrian for the twenty-fifth time, smiles the sun's smile.
  2. the LT work ethic is crazy rn

  3. Full Name, First and Last: Aeolian Are you a Voidal Mage? Aspirants and fledgling mages will not be turned away: Yes What schools of voidal magic are you familiar with, and which do you practise? If the answer is none yet you have interest, please write ‘Not Applicable’: With the Void I can create and destroy, manipulate the material and the immaterial, deceive the mind, and destroy the body. What puts you a cut above the rest?: Ambition, carefully guided. Hubris my enemy. Do you have any notable accomplishments?: Yes, many. What do you expect or wish to achieve in this endeavour?: To understand your motives. Any questions?: What are you?
  4. The lorepage also still says that telekinesis limbs are stronger than other atronach arms, the opposite of which is currently true. Might want to amend that as well
  5. I’ve reread it and have come to give comprehensive feedback. This is an amazing write and is probably the most comprehensive mechanical write ever made for a Voidal magic that I have seen. In general, some pieces are a bit strong, and some need slight clarification. Specific feedback is as follows. Status Conditions: Zapped- It should probably be specified that you cannot move 8 blocks as opposed to the normal 4 in balance default as that extra movement is considered a major action. Or write an exception if you don’t want that to be the case, but I think it’s logical that it would be that way. Just a note for status conditions - my initial thought is that having these different classifications for statuses might make it a bit tedious to RP against electrical evo as you have to learn their effects, but I do think in practicality it will be fine, as the mage should be able to easily communicate the effect of their spells. I just really worry in general that this magic is EXTREMELY easy to powergame, and that the only people who could use this magic effectively are lore-avid or otherwise lore-competent players. I don’t know what the solution to this is; lowering the magic’s complexity kind of defeats the point. I do think that this should still be given a chance as the write itself in extremely sound and can certainly be used for great effectiveness on the server, so long as users of the magic are kept to the high standard of knowing and communicating their lore well. Spells: Split-Shock: I think this spell is just a tad problematic. It’s a long emote count, so abusing it isn’t super easy, but its effect is rather potent. It can be defeated by just pulling out another weapon, but it could be really dumb in a situation where someone relies on a certain weapon (like a MArt or some carbaurum sword or something) and it’s taken out of their hands. It essentially immobilizes them for those two emotes or forces them to abandon their weapon altogether if they wish to continue combat. In general, I don’t think there are lores that displace items from a person as their primary effect - I think there’s a reason for this; it shuts down people’s gimmicks and kind of impedes their RP. This spell is a rather egregious expansion of that, not allowing them to pick it back up. I’d say get rid of that effect and maybe add a Zap to the spell so it’s still usable with the basic disarm that allows them to pick it back up as a major action, essentially rooting them for an emote if they wish to retrieve their weapon (but also providing the additional effect of having them drop their weapon in cases where that might be useful). Disallowing them from retrieving their weapon is a bit much. Numbskull: The range of this spell shouldn’t be capped at 10 blocks. It isn’t very useful like this - once you start charging it (your 10-block anchor being your first charge emote), the target can easily reach you in the meantime. This range cap makes the spell almost completely useless in a normal combat situation. Rebounding Bolt: The spell is so cool, but again I don’t think its range should be capped. Also, it seems like it would take a lot of explaining to everyone around every time this spell is cast, another manifestation of the original problem that I mentioned. Easy to misinterpret or powergame, since it’ll rely on the mage to explain the spell’s complex effects. Scatterspark Field: The range is way too low for this spell to ever be meaningfully used in a direct combat situation, especially since the spell is placed in a certain small radius on the first charging emote. Double Charge: No feedback, just wanted to say this spell is just extremely cool in the way it interacts with the positive/negative charge system. This write is awesome. Lightning Whip: I heavily recommend restricting movement to 2 blocks on the same emote or disabling it entirely the emote the user swings the whip, as an 8 block range is rather potent for a damaging attack you can do every emote. It’s already 3 blocks for the T5 spell, but there’s some weird kiting potential still there. This spell seems to border on OP…. but I think it’s actually fine, just a very potent spell that can do an effect that’s rather unique. I can’t actually think of a reason that it’s strictly OP. It’s gonna be a rather strong enchant, though. That’s a little worrying. In general, you should probably add one more offensive spell that’s capable of burning the enemy or something, just so Lightning Whip isn’t the only spell that does any damage, as it’s rather odd thematically that this is the case. I think you can get a spell like this in that isn’t just a lightning bolt that instakills you, since you’ve perhaps wisely rebranded the magic as electrical evocation. Great job with this though, after learning the server’s lore and having to deal with contradictory and poorly thought out mechanics for a while, this shit is a breath of fresh air.
  6. Feedback Orb - this is just Gust from Air Evocation, but stronger. You even used a lot of its descriptions - this is a fundamentally flawed thing you should not do when designing a magic, in my opinion. You don't want to just take an ability from another magic, make it better, then put it in your write Levitate - the flavor is fine, but again this is already a thing used in other lores. Specifying that cannonballs can be loaded is kind of weird, but I guess it's not problematic? Gravitational Flux - probably needs many more mechanical specifications for it to work, also no sense it making it tripling the weight, you're just straight up making it stronger than blood magic earth rune (which is also really busted). Should probably specify how this works with enchantments, or if it can at all. Feathery Feet - again just replicating something that occurs in different lores but I suppose this one is more fine Attract - uhhh.... that's broken. Needs a weight limit on the projectile, this is stronger than any other defensive spell in existence. I get that it's 4 emotes so it might be warranted, but this could have some really ridiculous applications Crush - the effect of this spell is too potent. Cap it on making someone unconscious - just because it takes many emotes does not mean it's okay to have a spell this strong, and probably make it so it's obvious you're casting this spell - I can already imagine a situation of someone stealthily killing someone in a crowd in broad daylight with this. Also the effect of it is too nonspecific - what is actually happening to the target on each emote? Gravitational Field - it isn't quite clear from your description what exactly this spell is doing. Same rules as Surged Resistance? I guess this spell is fine in that case. Overall it's a little OP and lacks original spell-effects other than Surged Resistance and Gravitational Field, otherwise seeming like a more powerful version of other existing lores.
  7. I looked at this briefly once but in this current state I don't think this feat is ready to be added to the game. Here are some main points of feedback. Connection: This section doesn't really describe how a Scribe gets their abilities from the ritual they're doing, contrary to other Voidal feats which are quite clear to this. It's also vague in general. Effects upon user: For a feat that every voidal mage can use with all other feats, the effects on the user are way too lenient. See veil watching - it's one of the hardest Voidal feats upon one's mind, as a tradeoff for its relative accessibility with other feats. Spellbook: It looks like a part of the magic that was intended to be used with this was removed. As of now, it doesn't seem to give the mage any actual abilities outside of what a normal mage could do - if there was a 'single use enchant' part of the magic that once existed, that would explain that, but in its current state, this spell does nothing. Arcane Scribing and Arcane Tattoo are cool flavor, but generally lacking specification in how they might interact with other lores that have an interaction with magic. Whirlwind Scripting and Mind Library are interesting abilities, I'm just lost at how exactly connecting to this Feat in the way described grants the mage this superhuman ability- I think every other Voidal feat is very clear how its affects are achieved, except for maybe the Artificer, which at least tries to explain it even if the explanation is rather nonsensical. General: It seems like a decent bit got cut from this. In its current state it doesn't seem to have much of a point, and certainly lacks necessary refinement in areas. I do love the idea though, so I hope you end up seeing this through with further work.
  8. Lanre Cerusil recoiled as if struck by the random, exclusive diss.
  9. Get every magic. Get every CA. Kill a diety. Free Descendants from the Voidal curse. PK an NL's character. Make a magic group. Minmax a Musin. Get a magic shelved or rewritten because of my own menace. Rewrite a magic. Write a magic. Join ST. Burn out and leave ST. Clip @subatomicin a warclaim.
  10. Lanre Cerusil abruptly wished that he had a house in the lizard dimension. He quickly recriminated such a thought, worrying that the Voidal taint had ravaged his mind more than he had expected.
  11. Curiosity. It commanded. Order was rent before it. And a mind made fickle by catastrophe shifted in its axioms.
  12. Lanre Cerusil would throughout those days come into contact with those individuals of great competence and ambition which resided in the generation before - and so too was his stone cast with them, unto a future of mali united.
  13. Coward's Whisky should entirely disable taking major actions other than movement. Even if you make it take more time to attack, the movement speed while taking a major action with the potion active under balance default (5 blocks) is still sufficient to avoid/outrange a normal attacker while one 'charges' their swing (especially a pursuing attacker). Additionally, could see some concerns using this potion alongside blasting potions, as if you are fleeing a pursuing opponent and priming blasting potions, it'd be impossible for them to catch you in melee. otherwise i like the potions, the first one should probably be ST signed or bumped up a tier just bc it has a meaningful offensive effect
  14. A wretched man with bags under his eyes stalked the forests, civilization eluding him. He did not hear the news of Fritjof Maor's death. But one day, he would. And a tinge of emotion would appear in a well of endless indifference - he would regret the last words that they shared. And he would feel, vaguely, as if he had failed.
  15. the problem in particular seems to be independent of browser, and is being experienced by everyone (i tried it on both chrome and firefox and it still occurred) it occurs when trying to paste in images to forum posts (also when attaching them directly, but it seems to be worse when pasting), it seems extremely easy to exceed the 'max total size' of attachments, which seems arbitrarily assigned and I don't exactly understand what is happening with it. I don't know if it was always like this but i sincerely doubt it because it makes it impossible to put more than 1 or 2 images in a post unless you scale them down in file size
  16. bro and here i was putting an img into google docs, screenshotting it with the border, saving that as a file, putting it through a size reducer, attaching it the post in the formatting pasted from the doc, then still having to cut half the images out of my post because i didnt have enough space i thought i just didnt get how formatting worked
  17. An elven mage who was once a warrior was wary to this day - for always he gazed behind himself, wondering if the great Chadvik that had once bested him would be there.
  18. "I will be the ultimate spark before snuffed flame, the last glance at a lover before eternal parting, the final whisper of wind before door closed." A vain elf proclaimed so with fortitude under the city of stars.
