      Just takes time, my advice, find a drawing, sketch it, then sketch it again, then see if you can change parts of it such as armour, clothes, weapons, objects etc. Then you can try and re-make the image to be your own character or others. Of course you have to give credit to the original artist for the template, but then it is your own, and from that you can test and develop ideas.
