I belive they can be RPly built and then a GM uses tnt and such to create the effect.

Well, I've seen one where you can adjust the trigetory of the catapult and works like a regular catapult (if this was implemented, it would save GM's placing TNT and allows the war to flow smoothly and move quickly)

We didn't tear it down. Just replaced a few blocks and expanded. It is OBVIOUSLY not finished yet and still has a long way to go. At the moment it looks well.. crap but that will change.
