What’s the difference between Lore Master and Lore Moderator since the forum staff list has both?
-
woah the mighty gladewynn that kills orcs is running from a warclaim against sangmar?!?!?!!!!!!!! unbelieavable!
-
LotC is one of the few place that eSports means something else... the wood elves are the asians.
-
the proof that dark shamanism doesn’t has a place for players is that it was re-written five times; dark shamanism should be made as an staff-only magic again to give events to its own playerbase

If we restrict mages to 1 evocation magic, would this also weaken the powergamers?
What if it was possible to have more than 1 magic but your body degrades and you can’t powergame your way out with body exercises and healthy diets (Yes, that is powergaming, and i’ll fight you to prove it) and you’re forced mortality or smthing where you have to PK after 1 year and it gets worse with more magics???

@Suxals The big issue isn’t powergaming, its that people have multiple magics and don’t do anything that is benefitial to the server as a whole but themselves with it. Why do people have more than one magic in most scenarios?

@Sporadic Hey, since 7.0 is around the corner, can you give us a sneak peek or some snacks on the brewing plugin? I'm really excited for it

I already linked it in statuses

1.1 To initiate a raid the leader of a raiding party must modreq one hour in advance of the raid
- The handling GM must then provide a warning regional broadcast to the target. The raid will arrive one hour from the broadcast not from the posting of the modreq.
"Everyone log out" simulator
2.2 Ladders must be placed vertically, in a continuous realistic fashion.
- In a regioned area your supervising moderator will place the ladders for you
-
n a freebuild area you may place the ladders yourself
- Troll ladder placements will be met with a blacklist
2.4 Raiders may attempt to remove anti ladder buttons. They must provide the appropriate emote, while supervised by the supervising Moderator. A roll of ten will break a button. A raid party may roll ten times.
Doesn't means I can't place 10 buttons in a vertical row
4.3 If the defenders are victorious the settlement’s raid cooldown shall be Fourteen Days from the day of the raid.
Fourteen days, ERP-friendly.
4.5 If the defenders are victorious in both repulsing the first raid and in the retaliatory raid then the settlement’s raid cooldown shall be Twenty One Days.
Jesus ****. This all means that if you create a dedicated group to raid your settlement and be counter-raided, you can only be raided roughly 10 to 20 times a map.
.5 Emotive combat is not raiding
- Trying to twist an ‘emotive combat’ scenario into a raid or a mechanical resolution is raid baiting.
i just want to make it clear that people that do emote raids are not raiders, raiders are reckless people that enjoy PvP...
what's next implement RP default?
-
Yes, RP default is coming to a raid near you.
1.1, refer to section five to answer your criticism.
2.4 sure if you want to build ugly walls you're free to. Thats why we're testing rams,
4.3 Pro Tip, don't lose if you don't want cool downs
4.5 If you get clapped in a raid you organize and then lose on your own ground you're an ape creature who needs 21 days to think about what you've done.

NEXUS HAD A GREAT ECONOMY SYSTEM BRING BACK NEXUS

I experienced this Nexus system for longer than you have. I know how it worked. All of the wars were funded with volunteer national grinders who hardly emoted a thing they did. All of the transactions either happened with 2-3 emotes after yelling your offer in the middle of a street to get the bare minimum of roleplay needed to exchange the goods or through shops that offer no roleplay interaction at all. Nexus was not a roleplay encouraging plugin, so much so that people were encouraged to spend more time away from anybody else in order to grind massive netherwart and tree farms for days on end. There was no personal connection to anything you made, and half the time when you made something it was just for the experience and the actual item is swiftly discarded.
It was not the best way to do a profession-plugin, that’s for sure.

Dude this man has seen some ****, you just don't understand Dan
But do not worry, for Horton the actually GODLY is here.
Spoiler>Compares LotC players to African kids
>Gives example of the bad of nexus
>Refuses to note the good of nexus
>Refuses to try the good of nexus
>Refuses to acknowledge nexus was horribly easy to do
>Uses experience on the server as reason for why he is right
>Isn't jaded (Making the above irrelevant)
>Likely hasn't ever tried to be creative with nexus
>Has never heard of how an actual economy works
Basically I'm saying that there are a ton of possibilities with nexus, you merely hid behind the excuse that there isn't a way that RP and nexus can coexist. It's along the same lines of RP and PVP, you don't really understand how it can be done because you've never seen it be done. You're scared of something new and can't easily adapt to it. Nexus did have its drawbacks of being super grindy but that's on the players that grinded, that doesn't effect you. That effects those hardcore sweatballs.
"B-b-but Horton they ruined the economy!!" Lol no, look at Norland. Norland is using marks, a separate currency from mina to get around the issues of others ruining the economy. You can still run an internal economy and nexus gave the benefit of allowing players easier ways to do that. It's simply that most didn't realize what it could do because they were too focused on what it did to LotC's playerbase.
Though what it did to LotC's playerbase was nothing, the community ruined themselves by themselves. They took nexus as a way to be super OP man but really that isn't what roleplay should be about. It should be about being someone you can't normally be in real life; and no, I don't mean an OP magicman I mean things as simple as peasants trying to climb the food chain. The server doesn't have a huge goal and ways to make that goal a challenge, you've got to make that yourself.
