  1. "Mama..." A teenaged Princess Mattea, with looks akin to her father's, but a mind, determined and strong as her mother's, looked down at the missive on her vanity. She'd been at her mother's bedside in her last hours, last days, holding Adalia's hand while she ailed. Yet, it was surreal to see the notice of her death, and even stranger to see her brother as a king - he was still falling out of trees, for GOD's sake!

  5. "Quite the shame that men are once more trying to tear down a successful woman who has devoted her life to rebuilding a place destroyed by the same kind of men who do this now." The very aged Renilde of the Petra said the entire run-on sentence in one breath, begrudgingly. "Seem like it's just stupid A**nite games they're playing yet again... "Though, of course the church will not do anything to support a loyal vassal, let alone a woman accused of adultery! Why not accuse a woman of being a bad person or lousy leader? Why must you debase a woman in power by questioning what may or may not happen behind closed doors? If it were the King of Haense, no one would bat an eye." The grandmother to the realm pondered what to do next. First, a nap, most definitely.
  6. "DEAR NORTH STAR COMPANY," Princess Mattea Asadha of the Petra printed her letter in a firm hand after urging her brothers to do the very same, the four of them sitting in a row together pondering their Krugsmas wishes. @Tremerus@YaBoyJay_@wardyn
  7. “**** Oren,” said Renilde of the Petra, nodding sagely. ”**** the empire Aaun so wanted,” Sorrel Auclair huffed, and penned a letter to the head of the Numendian military, securing the correspondence with the seal of the Petran Lord Marshal.

  9. Renilde, from the restored halls of Courteis Hale, once burned down my disgruntled Aaunites, smiled at the well-constructed missive. “Petra prevails, like a phoenix from her ashes; Aaun, however, drowns themselves and their people in the cinders of their own creation,” lamented the two-time great grandmother to an infant Prince Therin, swaddled in her arms. “You will be a better king than that, the best the Heartlands will ever know.” @mothsthetic @Hom @Tremerus
  10. “G*d in heaven, shut the f*** up. You think you’re brave for descending upon innocents of Chambery, whose city does not bear the security of walls? You think you’re clever because you threatened their lives, only to torment another?” Renilde stood at the flank of her great-granddaughter as she read the missive over her shoulder with a handheld magnifying glass. “You must write to the Tar, and let her know what truly happened, once the events are properly recounted by the victims,” told the old woman to the current generation, though there was no need - Adalia knew what to do. @mothsthetic
  11. Renilde’s eyes widened from their sleepiness whilst reading the missive at bedtime - a time she relished so, to reflect on her accomplishments during the day and plan for the next. “Manon!” was all she said, a rejoicing hoot in the dim candlelight of her bedchambers, followed by a hearty chortle. Renilde loved that ageless woman deeply, remembering the years of her youth when it was just Manon who visited when she was so alone; only Manon who wrote and invited her to sup amid her own decades of reclusiveness following the devastating war. Only Manon who understood Renilde’s love for the ‘wrong’ Prince, and consoled her when all seemed to be going awry. Renilde hugged the missive to her bosom, as though embracing her friend through the very ink and papyrus which held her message to the world. Then, setting it aside, Renilde snuffed her candle, and went to sleep with a smile on her face.
  12. “Haha, **** you, roaches of Varoche, and also **** you Louis Caspian, you goddamn ne’er do well, rebel prick.” The fellow excommunicant, Renilde of the Petra, despite her many acts in service to the realm, smiled a nasty grin. She was ready to meet them in Hell.
  13. "How nice it is to be embraced by our Haensetian relatives. It is just as King Karl III wanted." The elderly Renilde of the Petra smiles to herself, and readied the saddle she'd been bequeathed upon the great Haeseni King's death - a man who'd not lived long enough to become her father-in-law, yet she loved as her own kin. @GMRO
  14. "What an invidious thing to say, and then publish." Renilde tsked her tongue, reading the missive, then the letter her friend Sarah Arenin sent, not to urge the Hyspian state to go against the church, but to ask for help when dealing with an unfamiliar, and albeit unpredictable entity. "I hope she finds a better tutor - one that will teach her manners, and perhaps when to not speak. I fear, for a girl like this, it'd be often that she was told to shut her yapper." Renilde then forwarded a letter to her half-century friend, and one-time pen-pal Sarah Arenin, expressing further disgust for the unnecessary letter. @Lord_of_losers

  18. Renilde of the Petra couldn’t help but laugh, stifling the unholy giggle with a hand over her mouth. “Deserved,” she’d say, her father’s voice ringing in her ears. Was it time? Was he calling her home?
  19. "An anonymous author? Words that incite strife and sow distrust? Where have I seen this before…" Murmured an ageless Queen-Emeritus. "I hope the Aaunites continue to reap what they sow: rot to the very core." Together, with the help of the selfless Petran lords, Friedrich von Augusten and Adrian Tobias, did they plan the expansion of the Courteis Hale gardens. Perhaps the addition of a greenhouse! @DuhPuhWuh@Nectorist
  20. “But I am too old for politicking?” Renilde of the Petra, nearing the age of 110, scoffed with disgust for the patriarchy.
  21. “Peace, recruitment, rebuilding, and preparation,” said an elder within the Petran walls, completely expecting Aaun not to exist in the next decade, or to be put down once the mandated peace had been outlasted.
  22. renilde was relieved not to see the petran coat of arms affixed to the head of one of the many spidermen
