"How did I not know my brother was the tavern keeper?" Vykk says looking towards the tavern "It will be good to see more family around... well, I mean...hmm..." Vykk says going to make sure that people lock their treasure away tight!

"It's good that the King will finally have the funeral he deserves." Vane says his smile slowly turning to a grimace as the loud raving shouts of foreigners whining about the death of the king could be heard in the distance "Who are these mad ornrs and why are they let loose from their straight jackets?"

"It is with a heavy heart that this news is sent unto our realm, and it is shameful that the kings body is yet to be recovered and given the proper rites, but we will overcome this tough time, as Norland always has. In the coming days the Northguard will conduct a delve into the catacombs when the rocks have settled to retrieve the kings body, so that he may meet the All-Father properly."

Vane takes the missive, folding it in half, taking a deep breath before speaking to himself "It has been a tough year, although I am glad that our friends in Krugmar are still as close as ever, I would be honored to host this Rex and his people to reform our alliance." Vane then calls his Chambaerlain "Get out the good stationary, I need to get a letter sent!"

Vane reads the newspaper happily, leaning back in his chair in the tavern "Finally, I missed this..." he says enjoying the news

Vane looks out from the walls of Varhelm, watching as the warband began its march towards the Lunner keep. "So, their invasion has begun." he let out a sigh before turning to Vorne @Malgonious"Prepare the banners, call the Northguard, the Rangers, the Knights of Leumont." he demanded "Summon the navy, have the ships ready to depart!" he banged his fists on the railings "summon the engineers, have our weapons of war prepared!" he continued on "let loose the aviary, send birds to Krugmar, Urguan, Haense, and all the rest!" he said turning about, the fire of the All-Father burning in his eyes "They think we are afraid of them, but they have yet to know that wrath of Norland."

Vane turns to his companion Vorne, the descendant of the famed and revered Bjorn "Summon the Northguard, I fear war has come once again."

"Here Here!" Vane shouts out "A man of inteligence and prose, I was shocked oren even demanded of the Ferrymen to stand trial, I didnae know they were capable of utilizing more than crayon."

"Don't worry guys, I'm sure Elysium wants to join Oren, its those big bad people of Varhelm that are keeping them from doing it." Vane says reading the Letter "What a bunch of deluded morons those southerners are."

Sven looks down from the Father realm in confusion "I died in Vjorhelm, torn in half by a drake, I lived through Seahelm, the dreadlands, the Krag, all the wars, it was pretty well documented..." he says, his death somehow being a strange point of contention.

"IRON FROM ICE" Vykk yells out from atop the wall as he awaits a retinue of Imperial soldiers that would never come to rescue their commander

"That was the seventh Nordling war actually." Vykk says slightly confused at the odd war naming convention "The sutican war was the eighth nordling war, which of course brings us now to the tenth nordling war, y'know, how all normal people count." Vykk says counting aloud "Seven, Eight, Ten"

Vane smiles proudly upon hearing the success of the raid "And nay a single child slain, oren makes it seem much harder, but I guess nay killing kids turned out to be really easy, ye just look at 'em, and when ye figure out they nay be an adult, ye just... and hear me out, this be the complicated bit, nay swing a sword at 'em!" He says sarcastically to Donovan @Orlanth "Real proud of ye uncle, ye proved once again, to be more intelligent than the orenians."

"IRON FROM ICE!" Wulfrey calls out, having just won a resounding victory in the Battle of Luciensburg "We welcome our brothers in Talons Port, and I personally will lend my sword to slay those would come at their women and children."

"Thats not where the rimeveld trolls live..." Vane says, looking behind Norland where the Rimeveld trolls live

"Norland has already adopted doctrine and law against the harming of civilians and clergy, and the well treatment of prisoners taken from war." Vane says handing out a copy of the Norlandic law "In fact, the penalty for harming a child in any way is death, unfortunately it seems that within oren, the penalty is a medal and increased pay."

"Hopefully justice will be found, for as much as the Kingdom of Oren decries us savages who want nothing more than to destroy their way of life, we would never dare to harm a child, moreso an infant babe." Vane states disgusted by the events that had unfolded naught a month ago.

"I suppose the infant carried in their mothers arms as she fled from the rabid men, frothing at the mouth, looking to kill her and her child, or worse had raised a blade against them, and when she fled into the supposed safety of her own home, and the men began bashing at the door, looking to rip the babe from her bosom and toss it unto the pyre, it was her own fault for hiding from them as they assuredly did not wish to do what had dispicably happened to Liluth Solros under Orenian care." Vane spits out, disgusted at the lie perpetrated by the Captain "Aye, a babe not even able to walk, how afraid your men must have been."

Vane grits his teeth, shaking his head at the news "A shameful display beyond all measure, first the murder of our children, and then abusing a prisoner within their own custody, I wish I could say I was surprised, but this is why we fight..." Vane stands up straight, slamming his fist into his armored chest, sending out a resounding clank "IRON FROM ICE!" he shouts out

"Oren loses again." Vane says offering a smirk at the post.

"Ye do realize that we dunnae aim to siege providence, we've no interest in the city, nor the citizens or holy men who live within, all we seek is to force the Orenian government to acknowledge their crimes against our peoples and to make up for them." Vykk says offering the war declaration to the old man so that he may review it "We had offered the King of Oren numerous attempts to recognize their wrongs and to make up for them, yet we were met with naught but lies, slander, and in the end, silence. Not a bird was sent, nor any attempts to rectify the issues when Haense broached them on our behalf, Oren had no intention to treat with us, and had no intention to cease their crimes, leaving us with no other options but force." Vykk says finishing his lecture

Vane smiles the suns smile "Even the great house Carrion would be scared of this man, he would erase them from history if these two clans ever faced off."
