  1. ALDIN INDER'INDEAL History The Birth of the Mali’thilln | Establishment of Elcihi’thilln Bygone were the days of Malin, no more were the times of united elveness. Larihei lead the Thilln to their inevitable future, destined was the creation of Haelun’or; motherland now and forever. With her that of the more historically highlighted were gathered, Sullas, Thar, Acal’aelor and the now ‘ata Izalith. Yet in the background were characters of less renown, people moved by maehr’sae hiylun’ehya; for not all had interest in fleeting power -- or direct influence in society and its many facets. These very many a mali, but for the context of this account one need only focus upon one; Finris Haterin. While others in their past forms had focused on the wisdoms of Malin, frolicked and upon the world bore children; this man was only lead by one singular charge. The unraveling of The Cataclysm, of which an eternal void had left in everyone's minds. His was not a Talonni for he was alone, his generation the first of the Mali; only humbled by Malin. While many thought of him an eccentric, his passion in pursuit of truth; wisdom and knowledge -- that which even the elves had forgotten never wavered. Upon a visit to Larihei’s library in search of further material, even the maiden herself had him acknowledged; these were mere remarks -- yet to the eccentric anything can heed their loyalties. In time while Malin still ruled he searched ruins, battlefields and any remnants that existed. In them based upon observation, logical foresight, record and undeniable fact -- conclusions drew hypothesis and they in turn theory. This itself birthed a profession, one still to this day unacknowledged by most; bringing little regard from the circles of the wise. The science known as Archaeology was from his eccentrics born, yet his patience and knowledge was not to be scoffed at. Today we his Talonni call it inder’indeal, for history is a book with no end -- as eternal is our charge. With frequent visits his physical state had changed, his eyes a deepened azure; though his hair still remained darkened they grew brighter. His locks taking on the now recognizable grey, for in this era long since passed; very few had the fair white of Larihei. Though his patience deepend with each bath, so did his eccentric mannerisms. When Malin’s old woods were to be lost to the now Thilln, he was slow to move -- projects unfinished. Hypothesis yet to turn to theory, his work and all that which he had grown accustomed; for the common Thilln had much more to lose. In these times not all had influence of which to gather strength from, stability to keep one's two feet firm. Yet dragged by a few thoughtful he was not left behind, to become a victim of rising tensions. Though a kind gesture Finris would describe it as anything but, yet I argue this thought highly illogical -- perhaps the onset rambles of our accursed aged insanity. But there he was when the city rose its lofty spires, where maehr’sae hiylun’ehya had found at last a home. The Schism | ‘Ata Lomal The Accursed Days turned into weeks, weeks into months and months into years it was in such the pursuit of maehr’sae hiylun’ehya; was tarnished by the first ‘ata. In pursuit of progress he had forgotten health, though by the ramblings of Finris the boy was nothing but too prideful. His words were more accurately portrayed by profanities unbefitting of Thilln. It should then be clear that were it not for fates mechanisms, this ‘ata and his exile; induced by the bereft of the lives of two old. Then our fair people might still have in their midst the maiden of which our fairness stems from. This ‘ata, Lomal now known as “The Accursed” had no respect for his kind; unable to tell the difference between disagreement and distaste. But in this time most historical, Finris had little involvement. It was to him a time of studying and perfecting of his newfound profession, mastering his art. In elcihi he lived in its farthest flung corner, far away from where the divide formed; as walls were raised he find only further sanctity in his library -- his passionate projects. Unbeknownst to him was the corruption of the ‘ata and the spreading influence of the Daemon Tayl. Though by his own accounts he wasn’t “unaware” but rather too busy progressing the maehr’sae hiylun’ehya -- to spend time on such “civilities”. He seems to personally feel the ‘ata rude for intruding on his studies, of which I told him was a childish notion; only to further be admonished. While my personal mindful thoughts seem more clear, one cannot tamper with the eccentric; extending only the belief that my maln left the land -- begrudgingly only not to die. Had he perhaps not been a man of his craft, it would not have surprised me if he would had remained as one of the Vihai. I suppose I have this fact to thank for my own existence, for such is fate -- weaved as though with intention yet not. The New Beginnings | Aegis Once More Through the portal half were unaccounted and equally so was Larihei, even the staunchest puritan weeped; were it not for the eccentric few perhaps a flood might have formed. Though while the man that told me these facts has a flare for dramatics, I for one find it degrading. I wager that there were many reasons for emotional outburst. The families torn apart, those dead not to also mention the loss of our most beloved maiden -- fair and foresighted. Out of the few who had collected minds and emotions, this land was not unfamiliar; it was the land of Archaic Aegis. In its woods the mali born as well as their father Malin, his brothers influence still alive and remaining here. Yet even his kind was present, thus mali of all kinds found once more themselves in one and the same place. Their fates once again intertwined, like pieces on chessboard their journey laid out before them. The New Beginnings | Heritage Rediscovered While generations had passed and some had passed onto the great beyond, some had forgotten their origins; unlearned of Larihei’s truth of which our society is founded upon. The few who remembered were a minority or in the case of Finris, were too busy with their profession; their art. To them the thirst for knowledge side lining them from the sight of certain parents incapability in upbringing. However the course of times will would have this changed, for Aegis was not fated to last; its land sinking and the descendants long since left. In Asulon answers to age old questions were open for answers, Thilln ruins strewn throughout; their cultural heritage remained strong and bright. In their presence was the everlasting ideology of Larihei that of maehr’sae hiylun’ehya. With the past rekindled, passions for sovereignty reaffirmed. The Thilln once again gathered in the Motherland -- in Haelun’or. It was in this place he would find his flame, one eccentric perhaps even more than himself; of the opposite gender and of which he would be wed. While history can confirm itself long past this point, so as well is that of my maln much longer than what is accounted for. I must cut short, for I intend to release instead a greater work -- more extensive and conclusive in a more appropriate place. Penned by Corvac Aldin Appearance and Traits Family Tree

  7. Kingdom of Makuria & Alodia Circa 1203 AD ‘Pon the blessed river Nilus, down the craggy cataracts and washed beaches. The acacia standing tall and triumphant, bushes brushed by the wild wind. From Luxor, through Aswan, passing Qasr Ibrim and it’s neighbour of Faras, further down at the mercy of the third and fourth cataract sat Dongola. The City of Mosques they called it, its fertile grazing land strewn heavy with cattle and equestrian labours. The people were free and honest folk, peoples only burdened by the searing heat of the sun. The river Nilus giveth and taketh away they say, for if the people don’t tend to their worship of Allah then droughts be many. Through the bustle of the streets walked weary caravans, woeful men and merchants, the air loud with calls and cries, wares sold for the wanton. Many from the Ayyubid, Gezira, Shaigiya and greater Nubia gathered, t’is the day of festivities, of honouring cow and crown. Their fires clad with fine beef, fed from the green grass, fattened by the fallen leafs and undergrowth. Depiction of Moses George II of Makuria & Alodia At the head of the city, past the lofty confines of the Makurian Throne Hall. There, light bewitching from the stray sun rays that scattered on gold and metal, splendent and in full glory. T’was his Royal Majesty, Moses George II and below hushed in respect and expectation his peoples, men, women and child a plenty prepared for his speech to reach their ears. “My people it is with great joy, with great pride and great honor that I speak before you today. We stand together on this day of merriment and attest to the great future of our Kingdom, to be able to have head held high with pride ‘fore ancestors.” Brandishing a well garmented arm, raising it to the wind as fingers came to a clasp. He roared with great might, hand still rested by his side coming forward whilst his other hoisted down. With a thorough twist he gestured to all present with both arms, golden dressings flickering in the wind. “In the name of God, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate. And as for the sacrifice of cattle, We have ordained it for you as one of the symbols set up by God, in which there is much good for you, Hence, extol the name of God over them when they are lined up for sacrifice; and after they have fallen lifeless to the ground, eat of their flesh, and feed the poor who is contented with his lot and does not beg, as well as him who is forced to beg. It is to this end that We have made them subservient to your needs, so that you might have cause to be grateful.” Stepping away the cries of cattle cut for the slaughter and the merriments of the poor and passionate could be heard. Two Scouts on horseback overseeing Geziran Fields in Alodia In the deepest reaches of the river Nilus, where one became two, where gray split to white and blue. There on the banks sat the City Soba, capital of Alodia in its well wrought wealth clammered and clattered from camels in caravan. This was a land of gold, buildings made of reddened brick and caravansaries a plenty. Beyond the paths bustle the Qubba’s stood serenely and protected Islams faithful in the afterlife, gravestones carved out of granite, etched with appropriate scribery. In the city proper many fared back and forth, workers running at an all time high and many men on horse escorting precious goods. The wood and rock sent forth in two directions, for the Crown Prince was well prepared to deal with the projects mandated to him by his father. 10. THE MARCH ON ARBERRANG 11th of the Sun’s Smile, 1690 An artist’s depiction of the valiant soldiers of St. Karl charging against Arberrangian forces. The snow fell unabashed by the heavens, fields once green covered by the heavy foliage. Homes warmed by firewood and their chimneys let out smoke in defiance of the bitter cold. Markev stood stalwart and its people did not fear the ever-changing climate, amongst its bustling streets soldiery gathered, shields, swords and horses prepared for an assault. The pyres flames crackled and the light cast shadows amongst the passing figures, at the square podium stood Robert I Bihar of Hanseti-Ruska. To his left stood Lord Marshal Henrik Kovachev, resolute and poised. While the men below eyed them, foggy breaths came out through their mouths during the silence. Taking a step forward with his wolf cloak following behind, Robert eyed his men as they awaited his word. “We’ve always been a people to uphold our promises,” The King spoke firmly as his voice echoed across the Red City. “To treat others with the respect they show us...” His words were followed by a short silence, eyes growing ever firmer and lips twisted in slight agitation. “But to those who pay us back with disrespect, to those whom would plan against us. To those of Arberrang, we will pay back a hundredfold for what they are due. They spit upon us, and did not heed our warnings, come not when summoned, hide demons amongst their midst and collude with our enemies. . .” Lips twisting further, it was clear Robert had, had enough. His words were now spoken most passionately “It is unforgivable, it was only their mistake to believe I would be indecisive. It is this mistake which will cost them most direly and it is this mistake which they will forever regret.” Putting his hands behind his back, Robert turned his head to look leftward and then rightward after having concluded his speech. The first to walk forward was the Lord Marshal Henrik Kovachev, beside the King he began to speak whilst not holding back in the slightest. “They’ve cracked our trust, these oathbreakers. They renounced God in favour of their pagan ways, worshipping false gods. We shan’t wait till more Haensetian blood is spilled by their blade. Soon we march on Arberrang, countrymen. And we will prevail over these vermin.” As the Lord Marshal stepped aside Robert clapped his hands together crisply, striking twice they came to a halt. “Today we march on Arberrang, today we take back what is ours, today we go to WAR!” Robert shouted out while drawing his sword. With that the warmachine began moving, trebuchets carted across the river Czena, rams and food for the men. The army traveled atop Karl’s Hill and past Sigmar’s Cradle, through the lands of Vanaheim before finally setting themselves up before the gates of Arberrang. 14. The March to Karl's Hill "We march on those who spit on the Haensefolk and their land" -Rhys var Ruthern Marshal of Haense 1672 The stomping of hooves could be heard as the trebuchets were pulled up towards the wayward 'Manor' and self styled County of one Georgiana Alexandra. In the front stood Sigmar I King of Hanseti-Ruska a retinue behind him that arrived past the Czena river with ease as Karl's Hill was able to be seen from the Krepost. It didn't take them long to make it up the hill, their men working steadfast to not waste time and remove this hindrance that had been set up illegaly. The Knights, Barons, Counts and Dukes stood at the helm of each their retinues. In the front the honorable and historically long lasting Black Company of the Rutherns, at their back Krakens Watch of the Vanirs a family which has stood by Haense side for countless generations, by their side West Guardmen lead by Enthelors the newly uplifted vassals of the realm they had much to prove come the battle. It was the Hearth Guard and Green Banner that gathered at the rear the first a retinue of the King and the latter a retinue of the good Stafyrs which had joined Haense in its infancy when Siegrad was in its stages of construction. "We will not sit idle." Remarked Matthew Colborn atop his horse. "We will not sit idle!" Harked the bannermen in return. "We will not allow foreigners to claim our land and resources." Matthew spoke firm, overlooking the retinues. "We will not allow foreigners to claim our land and resources!" The bannermen repeated once more. So the war preparation started, for the sleetfells would see war once again. It was early that the long peace had been broken, but the Highlanders had always been a people with warm blood and ample passion. They would not sit idle when they were able to do something about it, war had long made them unable to protect their lands but no more shall it be so for today they stand united and ready to protect their lands under their banner. The Haensetic banner, it was the banner which their ancestors had died to protect and their predecesors as well. It was the banner of the people, banner of the nation and the banner of their hopes and future accomplishments. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CBs: Known Enemy of The Nation Side A: The Kingdom of Haense Side B: Sleetfells Minor Freebuild Crushems Proposed Date & Time: 21st July, 4pm est. 18. Eadmund Estermont wonder if Thomas Woodlaw knows what the word thievery means, as people would pay for goods and the Estermonts would pay a tariff on the sales the GA is able to bring them. It would seem it is what you call... a trade agreement.
  19. Estermont Trade Company Introduction Something stirred in the hearts of men when the caravels of the wayward races found rest in the harbors of Atlas. The soft touch of fertile soil, the warm glow of the forge, and the tantalizing gleams of gold in the depths, awoke a ghost from Man’s past. The spirit of opportunity had lain dormant in the prosperous and stable Kingdoms of the now-frozen Axios, but the promise of new lands, and the turn of a new leaf, brought together the profiteering classes of society, the merchants, the sellswords, and the salesmen, under a new banner of sturdy industry, primed to expand outwards across the New World.
