I know what alchemy is and was obviously simplifying things in regards to the lore post because it talks SPECIFICALLY about potions. I'm not going to comment any more on this because it's not adding to the discussion. If he wants to discuss the intricacies of alchemy then he should offer up some commentary about how this should affect animii, tawkin, and other facets of alchemy.

Don't get me wrong, I totally understand why you wrote this and the place you're coming from. I also think it makes sense that Void stuff and the material should not play nice together. I just think it needs to be more refined, with significantly more detail and thought put into the intricacies of it. I don't like this blanket statement of "Void makes alchemy go boom." Both lore pieces are way more intricate than that and deserve more of an explanation as to exactly why and how this would happen stop mansplaining alchemy to me you absolute troglodyte

Unnecessary and unhelpful comment. Alchemy is little more than mixing together dried plant bits and doing so with a greater understanding of the material alphabet. It's incredibly simple and people pretending it isn't is just trying to perpetuate dumb circlejerks by people who don't want to share

I mean youre the big lore man but I've never felt like alchemy was actually the "purest form" of the material plane. Its literally just mashing plants and **** together. And, the material alphabet insinuates that everything in the material world is made up of these symbols, and that some stuff is just more potent. Why would Void magic just make the ones that are mixed together in a very specific way explode? Steel is a mix of items that likely possess these same symbols, but Void magic doesnt make it explode. I get where you're coming from but it just seems like a really ultra specific thing that wasn't entirely thought out. I appreciate that it's an attempt to solve a problem but I think it's overshot a bit and needs to be way more refined

This aint it chief edit: personally I am just opposed to forcing a divide in lore which would only encourage cliquey behavior and prevent the intermixing of lore groups. people will always find a way to minmax, this doesnt make sense in the loreverse imo and doesn't add anything, only takes away from rp

I think what really baffles me the most is the fact that you keep doing this, over and over again. No matter how many times the community lashes out and expresses their frustration, you just keep making these suedo-friendly corporate posts with a smile plastered on your face. No matter how many times the community tries to express their concerns, you guys give a placid 'feedback noted' response, lock the thread, hide the status, etc. You say to make a feedback thread, but feedback threads are literally a joke. You're probably sitting there patting yourself on the back for how 'well' you handle these situations without realizing that you've become the servers resident fool. Look, Telanir, I'm not trying to be mean. I care a lot about the wellbeing of the server and from what I've been told you actually do some good stuff on the development side. Just.. stop trying to interact with the community. Your finger is so far from the pulse of it that you might as well be in a different room. You either know and understand all of this and just don't care, or you're so completely out of touch that you genuinely don't realize it and no one on staff has been ballsy enough to tell you to stop. Maybe it's a mix of both. So this is me, a member of the community, asking you to stop. Stop trying to be a part of the community, because you aren't a part of it and haven't been for many years. Your opinion on community related issues is worthless and your word in regards to it should have no weight.

Happy 10 years everyone. As much as I joke about hating this server, it got me through the literal worst times of my life. It brought me some of my best friends. I'll probably be here until the end.
