If you have to state the answer to your rhetorical question it probably wasnt that rhetorical... In truth the people outside of the magic clique have no real idea what type of magic one has, most of us only really encounter it when the mage decides to walk up and rip apart our bodies at the molecular level or other such attacks. I mean no ill will against the mages. But its time for a change and I believe muskets offer that change.

Probably, that or you eat my soul and wipe my memories, some sorta magical stuff.

This has been posted time and time and time again, Firearms are ABSOLUTELY NO DIFFERENT than crossbows in terms of use and form. The only thing firearms offer is increased roleplay flavor and yknow what? THAT IS A GOOD THING. We can have super elven mages who can control someones mind and warp time and space but firearms with the same function as a crossbow is too “out of place” get outta here with that... You have a sect of players ready to adapt to this roleplay and are simply waiting for it, numerous times people have wrote astounding lore that makes sense and is well written. To all you out there concerned about ‘muh arpee!’ all I can say is there are a bunch of bleeding hearts around here that cant stand change in roleplay or to adapt to something that might be able to counter their special elven magic. All I can say is go on and bleed.

Joseph d'Azor stood with several others at the front of the Vanguard, the young man removing his slightly dented helmet holding it under his arm as he held his bloodied sword at his side watching as the tabards of black and red scurry hurriedly in the direction of Varhelm. "They thought us weak, we outnumbered them. They thought us fools and we outsmarted them. Now they stand meekly inside their borders and think we will spare them, the Nordling will be wiped from the face of the realm." The man remarks placing his helmet back over his head as he turned from the brow of the hill.

Joseph d'Azor clenched his fists in anger as he looked over the dead body of the Pontiff having already removed his jacket to cover the man's dead body. "This will NOT, go unpunished." He huffs the Ferryman hired by the nordlings having already been slain. "They lie, and claim we slaughter children, then send daggers into our churches to slay an elderly man...." He looks out from the church exhaling loudly into the street. "Blood must answer with blood..."

Joseph d'Azor Smiles the suns smile as he reads the letter he helped craft at his desk in Providence. Looking across the mahogany table his eyes fall upon the portrait of Coraline d'Arkent as he reaches out to grasp the framed pictured. "We will have peace in our time my chera... The Elysian's will see the error of Chief Sven's raving lunacy of aggression." He sets the picture back down standing from his desk as he looks across the skyline to the north where Varhelm lay. "Soon..... Oren will know peace once more, I just hope the Duke of Elysium joins in the peace, rather then fall in the pyre of Varhelm."

Joseph breathes a FIRM exhalation as he reads it "Finally the senses of peace have been reached, canonist brothers hand unto hand." He smiles the suns smile looking across the landscape in the direction of Norland "Your plot foiled....we come for you barbarian foe."

Joseph d'Azor nods firmly "It is truly wise that this leader can see through the veiled cause of war perpetrated by his feudal lord and it truly begs question as to the effectiveness of such a system, why should the peasant pay for the war the gluttonous leadership of Norland dictate upon paper in their great stone halls, why should they sentence the youth of the north to death upon our most valiant defenses in the cold snow whilst they sit fat and fawning beside raging fires..."

Joseph d'Azor signs the Lorraine cross as he reads the missive. "We must have faith in GOD, and through his divine guidance we will blow upon the nation of the ash tree and scatter its remains unto the wind. Those who stand in the way of our righteous defense against this unwarranted invasion, will learn GODs mercy one way or another..." Joseph smiles as he looks to the east and the battles to come.

Joseph d'Azor smiles the suns smile as he affixes his sword to his belt "Every century the barbarians must be taught a lesson, they must know their place in this world, they speak of honour and victory, but sometimes they forget how many times their nation has been ground into dust by the might of men." Joseph smiles as he joins the line "What's one more, maybe they'll get the message this time around?"

"A pity" Stated Joseph as his fathers missive told him the news "All that vocal groveling and preparation to defeat Oren..... they were oh so sure of themselves and now look." Joseph Moved to the window of the palace looking out to the north where the Kingdom of Haense Lay. "We made a mistake, we mistook these fools for goats, when they are in truth RATS. And Rats.....stick together..." The young man closed the curtains as his thoughts lay with the retreating Sedanese moving to Haense.

I think the real meme here is if Orenian WT members hadn't pushed the boundary and started doing it, it never would have become a thing allowed on the server for everyone else to have. So really, as an Orenian. You are welcome. Now we all get map art.
