After many years of adjournment, it is by the will of the Archduchess that the Round Table be convened once more. It is at her wish that this esteemed body upon which Petra was founded called into session to deliberate upon future projects within the Commonwealth.

Our Capital City of Valfleur has undergone major renovation – featuring a new Palace, Estenpromé, a new Church, The Chapel of Saint Emma, a new Tavern, the Two Cats Inn, and a redesigned square. We will therefore be hosting a festival in celebration of the completion of the newer, more youthful Valfleur. Tour guides, party games at the Tavern, a tea party at Estenpromé, and Stewards will be available to sell homes to prospective buyers. Purchase prices for homes and shops, as well as their tax, have been reduced significantly as compared to the pre-War ledgers.

I personally like the idea of admin shops. If they’re not too OP then they’re not super harmful to the economy. If anything it encourages shops to compete with prices. Idk, feel feel to respond and critique

I remember we used to be able to kill mobs for mina. If someone doesn’t want mobs in their tile, they can turn them off. But I think this would be beneficial for nations or settlements that want to do hunting event rp

It may be a bit RPG-esque or something like that, but I feel like it'd prevent a lot of these issues. 

 

 

(ALSO, I think lairs are at a good state rn... ish? From what I've seen they're being given to groups that need them, such as the Djinn, necros, mystics, etc etc. There have been a few that were simply wonky like someone getting a lair accepted for their broken-down Oren family, but those seem far and few.)

SCREAMS HEARD IN THE NIGHT

A recollection of events published by Sir Laurens Henri “the Unwavering” Halcourt

24th of Harren’s Folly, 1911

“Soung de ma Soung”

It was an ordinary night out on the town of Valfleur for Sir Laurens and his son, Yves Olivier. The aroma of freshly-baked pumpkin pie came from Little Acre Bakery as an armored figure trotted into the City, stating that the Kingdom of Balian was under attack from some foreign Army. Sir Laurens was speaking to a Dame that came to the aid of one of Petra’s citizenry with the company of the Archduchess Renilde. The Marshal looked to Renilde and queried, “Shall I rally our banners, Your Grace?” to which she replied, “Yes, good Laurens. Let us rally the troops as a show of good faith to King Alexander.” – With that, the bell rang. 

“BALIAN IS UNDER SIEGE. THE PETRINE REGIMENT IS COMMANDED TO RALLY, AS WELL AS ANY CONCERNED CITIZENS!”

 As the Regiment and Citizens of Valfleur stood in neat rows, the General of the Regiment began to hand out supplies to those in the square. The troupe of fifty men and women then set off towards the Cloud Temple, onwards to South Hub, and rode several camels before they had finally arrived at the Capital of the Kingdom of Balian. When they arrived, they were unsure where the commotion was coming from. Most of the Citizens seemed to be continuing on with their daily lives, but this did not stop the young Knight from finding out where the dispute was. He spoke to the troops and citizens, as he did before every fight,

 “Remember, we must stay together no matter the circumstances. If a brother or sister falls, we must plead for a medic.” 

The Petran entourage cautiously paced through the City with their weapons at the ready, prepared for any fight ahead of them. As they were walking, Sir Laurens noticed a barricade. He began to scale it, and once at the top he commanded,

“ON MY MARK!”

The new Recruits were weighed down with anxious thoughts while Sir Laurens leapt from his position, enabling in hand-to-hand combat with a Footman.

“ATTACK!”

 Soon after, the rest of his party joined and they were able to take out a bulk of enemy forces. Recruit William Winters was injured by one of the footmen and Sir Laurens carried him to the outskirts of the City to find a medic. Whilst doing so, he ran into King Alexander I of Balian, who began to fight with them.

Together, the Commonwealth of the Petra and the Kingdom of Balian, as well as other participants, helped to squash a very real threat to national security.

T H E  P E T R I N E  R E G I M E N T

“Soung de ma Soung” (Blood of my Blood)

With the dissolution of the Sons of Petra and their Republican Army, the Marshal of the Commonwealth does hereby decree;

The Petrine Regiment is the official group tasked with the protection and defense of the Commonwealth of the Petra and Her Sovereign at all costs. The Regiment is headed up by the General, subsequently the Marshal of the Commonwealth, and has a group of officers charged with the day-to-day happenings of the Military. It follows a strict Chain of Command.

High Command

General of the Regiment / Marshal of the Commonwealth: The absolute top official of the Regiment, dealing with all matters of National Security. The Marshal of the Army and General of the Regiment  answers directly to the Sovereign of the Commonwealth.

Lieutenant-General: The second-in-command to the General. The Lieutenant-General runs the payroll and is responsible for assisting the General in the day-to-day operations of the Regiment. Assists in the supervision of the drilling and training of the troops.

Provost-General: The Provost-General enforces military code and is responsible for phasing out corruption. They will actively pursue warrants. This is a sort of specialized role, acting as the Disciplinarian of the Military as a whole. Also has the ability to drill and train troops. The Provost-General is allowed a single deputy to act in a de-facto manner.

Officer

Lieutenant: The Lieutenant is responsible for drilling and training of the troops. Acts as the link between the Officer team and High Command. Expected to hold one military training or event per calendar year. Acts as the Quartermaster and is allowed keys to the Regiment storage area.

Sergeant: The Sergeant assists the Lieutenant’s with drilling and training of the troops. Acts as the link between the Officer team and the Enlisted troops. Expected to hold one military training or event per calendar year.

Ensign: The lowest Officer rank, the Ensign assists the Lieutenant’s with drilling and training of the troops. They act as the link between the Officer team and the Unoathed ranks. They are expected to hold one military training or other event per calendar year.

Enlisted

Bannerman: The top Enlisted of the Corps, the Bannerman is a proven soldier and is a role model. They will be responsible for the recruitment of new blood into the brotherhood. Officers also have this duty.

Corporal: The Corporal will coordinate meals for the Regiment and serves his brothers and sisters to the best of their ability. They hold the duty of settling in Cadets and Recruits.

Private: Newly sworn in members of the Regiment, the Private is a new member of the military. They, as all soldiers do, protect the Commonwealth from any threats and keep the peace.

Unoathed

Cadet: Usually Knights or Nobility of the Realm that enlist in the Regiment, the Cadet’s need to prove themselves worthy. When they rank up, they rank straight to Ensign.

Recruit: Recruits may prove themselves by attending trainings and events, fraternizing with their fellow soldiers, and proving themselves to be active members of the Order.

The Regiment follows an internal Customs and Courtesies document that governs the way that formalities work. Petra's Military offers many benefits, such as: free housing, yearly pay and incentives, half-off drinks at the tavern, as well as free weaponry/armor and food.

It is possible that one or more of the mods you installed are for fabric and you need to get the forge version instead

I do believe you can get all the mods you need with a fabric build, so trying that might help (though you will need optifabric for optifine and fabric combo)

Very possible. A month or so ago I installed a bunch of mods like Replay Mod and media stuff, but they haven't caused issues since it's a separate installation from my forge installation. For the time being I've just moved all of those mods to my desktop while I try to figure out what's going on

Good morning my fellow Lord of the Craft gamers. I am looking for some advice with regards to my Minecraft launcher. Reddit and other forums are of no use, so I will come to y'all!💟

I have been trying repeatedly to launch the game over the past couple of hours and have read the log files, it appears that my mods are all malfunctioning or something. So, I took them all out of the folder and moved them to the desktop and the game launches fine. I tried to individually move all of them back into the folder and launch the game to see which mod was causing the issue, but it keeps crashing nonetheless. I have reinstalled the launcher, and reinstalled forge. Optifine was the biggest offender in the log files, so I just deleted that one. The latest.log file is literally not telling me a singular mod that is malfunctioning and causing the game to crash.

I guess the better question is, are there any other launchers or something that could make my life a little easier? I keep the following forge mods in my folder:

-Optifine

-Inventory Tweaks (for inventory and chest sorting)

-Inventory HUD

-BetterPvP

-Xaero's Minimap (player tracking is turned off dw)

I have considered options such as the Lunar and Badlion Client's but they don't seem to have all of the features that I am looking for in terms of which mods are provided.

| Community Team Update: Wiki Focus Group |

Howdy everyone, your Wiki Team is here with an Update. We just wanted to cover some of the fantastic updates to the wiki we’ve made in the last couple of months, as well as what direction we are heading in the foreseeable future for the server and updates to some older pages.

NEWEST UPDATES

Over the last little while, one of our big focuses was updating and filling out the homepage with quick access to some of the most critical resources on the wiki and writing out these resources and filling out areas such as new vital plugins that had been added or changed since the last time the front page was rehauled, as well as a consistent update schedule to the world map. 

Additionally, the Racial hub got an update with more races and art but is still under maintenance and growing to envelop all of the primary races and a few creatures. In updating the racial hub, the previously written entries have been combed through and updated with more up to date information and general ease of understanding.

TEAM GOALS

Moving forward with our goals, we plan to do major revamps on some of our more neglected pages, including Magic, Human-Culture, and the New Player Guide.

 We plan on taking on one of the age-old tasks of fixing the Magic section of the wiki and reconfiguring it to have a better flow and make it easier to maneuver for both new and old players alike. The first step will be making it more similar to that of the Racial hub by adding art that represents the magics and a brief description of the genre of magic laid out in a user-friendly format that makes it both an exciting and appealing read, and using this page as a sort of hub that will directly link to the specific magics lore post on the forums to ensure that readers receive the most up to date lore possible in this area.

With all those specific focuses on the forefront, we still are updating and fixing old pages with new relevant information as well as continuing the general documentation of the forums up to date, with things such as consistently updated War Pages for any current wars, as well as any pertinent changes to anything else on the server that we may need to cover on the wiki.

Much like most of everything else that happens on the server, we would only be able to get the work done with the immense help of the community. Sir Laurens laughed manically, "I would love to put my cousin's head on a pike. Fuckin' rebel scum. BLOOD FOR BARCLAY!" he says, spitting at the ground and watching as his children played amongst themselves in the halls of Artois. A smirk creeps upon his visage at the mention of avenging the people of the River Petra.

In times of civil strife, it is important to know who you fight for. The House of Halcourt fights for the Commonwealth of the Petra, and the bloodline of Paul Savian. While I did not have the pleasure of meeting the former Regent of the Commonwealth, I did have the pleasure of meeting his daughter, the Archduchess of the Commonwealth of the Petra,  Renilde I Helene. I have fought with her in battle – confided in her. This being said, effective immediately;

• The House of Halcourt reaffirms fealty to the Commonwealth of the Petra and her lawful Archduchess, Renile I. 
• Those of the House that have joined the Cuckoldian Rebels shall forsake their last name, and send a letter to the Baron via the Aviary so that they may be stricken from the family ledgers and erased from our history. Their belongings will then be hauled from either Artois or Brasca to the Cloud Temple so that they may be retrieved by their rightful owner.

It is recognized that war has dawned upon Petra and no official missive has been released from the War Office bythe Marshal. The Renilde Loyalists shall fight the Cuckold’s Rebels in exactly one week from this day. It is hereby commanded that;

• The Sons of Petra is dissolved in its entirety, its membership is to be purged.
• In his capacity as Marshal of the Army of the Commonwealth, Sir Laurens Henri forms a new Army - it shall be called THE PETRINE REGIMENT. More information will be released in relation to The Petrine Regiment after the war has concluded. 
• With the Sons of Petra dissolved, those formerly enlisted in the Sons that wish to join the Petrine Regiment at a rank equivalent to their Sons rank, must contact Sir Laurens Henri Halcourt by way of the Aviary.
• The duty of the Petrine Regiment shall be to defend the Commonwealth of the Petra and the lawfully governing Archduchess – Her Grace, Renilde I.

Reports have been received of a Frost Witch known by the alias of Sister Ava (hereafter; Darkspawn) that has been wreaking havoc on our lands. One report shows that the Darkspawn wandered into the Square of Valfleur and stabbed one of our Citizens in the throat; freezing another to the ground and forcing them to watch the horrific act. Threats were received from the Darkspawn to anyone who reported the act afterwards. The Darskpawn, as mentioned before, takes on the persona of a Nun of the Church of the Canon. Report any sightings to a Sons of Petra soldier. 

Therefore, it is hereby commanded by the Marshal of the Commonwealth of the Petra that;

• The Darskpawn is banished from our Commonwealth, not permitted entry no matter the circumstances
• If the Darkspawn is found within our Lands, she is to be captured and killed for the heinous crimes she has committed
• A public notice is to be issued throughout the City of Valfleur and other settlements bordering the Petra that encourages citizens to be on alert.
