  1. It looked different in the editor :/. I fixed it...
  2. Old Redlines: - Cannot be placed on the projectiles, must be placed on the bow/firing mechanism itself. - Projectiles fired from these bows trail small embers/ash as a sign, tell, or aesthetic. - If the arrowhead itself is brittle or particularly flammable (i.e. bone), it will be less likely to successfully light whatever it makes contact with. Steel or metals similar with wooden shafts will perform best. - A thanhium arrow can not be set aflame if fired from this bow as it will cancel out the rune's mana. - Firing multiple arrows before activating the enchantment does not activate all of the fired arrows. It will only activate the most recent arrow fired. - Fire produced by this enchantment is mundane. It will spread to flammable clothing, burn puncture wounds, and flammable structures or flora. - This rune can only be used once per combat encounter and will regenerate after 8 OOC hours. - Projectiles fired from this bow will only set a target aflame once activated, affording the target a moment of opportunity to remove the arrow. - This rune takes 1 emote to activate, displaying a tell of clutching the bow tighter at its midsection. The dracanium part(s) upon the bow will aesthetically glow red-hot for a brief moment. Upon the following emote the arrow will be set aflame. As it must be ordered in this method, an arrow must first be fired from the bow before it will set aflame. In effect, the bow regardless of its combat mechanics will require an additional emote to take advantage of the rune. Reasoning Changelog: - The rune no longer requires additional emotes to use. - The rune is now unlimited usage for combat, as long as the user has fitting arrows.
  3. This is a common problem in game design, as you keep introducing more complex ways to interact with the systems, you end up needing to consider more things with each addition. This is normal. DnD system wouldn't be impossible it would just require a rather intensive effort from both tech and story teams to make sure it fits the current LotC lore and would run into the same complexity issues eventually (immediately, even).
  4. Dracanium bows require 5 emotes to shoot a mundane flaming arrow. Plz fix !
  5. Need to make sure they all work well and that takes time. The demand for pastel orange is the highest its ever been.
  6. We (the LotC Tech Team) are happy to announce the long-awaited release of new chat colors and persona persistence for colors. You can now customize your persona's emotes with a wide range of colors. Access these new features using the following command: Available Colors: Important Notes: The new pastel colors are available for Iron VIP+ members. All users' color selections have been reset to yellow. Please update your color preference as desired. Emote colors are saved per persona. Color Poll: We are holding a poll for the next 10 color options. The top 3 will be implemented based on your votes. GUI Development: @Greehn is working on a GUI for easy selection and display of emote colors linked to each persona. Thanks @Halt for the post formatting, writing, beta testing and ideas. A huge thanks to @Llir for making these updates possible. Expect more frequent patches and announcements like this in the future. Stay tuned for exciting new features and improvements. Happy chatting! .fade-in-section-text { opacity: 0; animation: fadeInAnimation 2s ease forwards; } @keyframes fadeInAnimation { from { opacity: 0; transform: translateY(20px); } to { opacity: 1; transform: translateY(0); } } @keyframes pulse { 0% { transform: scale(1); } 50% { transform: scale(1.1); } 100% { transform: scale(1); } } .pulse { animation: pulse 10s infinite; } .fr-credit-link{padding:10px 0;font-size:11px;font-style:italic;}
  7. Forgot to mention; Colors now save per persona. So you can have a special color for each persona.

  16. i think druidism might be getting a little too big but what do i know also... T5 druidism requirement feels a little excessive.
  17. [!] You find a small, worn page. The handwriting on it seems rather poor… It is a weird feeling, writing on a table… Yet I find that my handwriting is still quite illegible… It does not truly matter, for words are meaningless, and they are for the one who writes, more than the one who reads. – One seeks his will done… The other seeks to interrupt it. The third watches, and another listens. To what end? Days come and pass, and cold begins its onslaught, only to be brought to defeat by the sun. The forest-fire becomes ash in the rain. Yet… From the carcasses of the trees the sprouts then grow? It is an exhilarating feeling, being a pawn in a game, truly. To have a guiding hand is a right, but to be commanded is the true pleasure we all partake. Do we not? The threat is unending, even in the peaceful spring wind we must see the flowers come to a burn… Why? It all feels as if it occurs in harmony… But who…? Who would command forces that do not yield to them… Nature..? Fate..? Time..? For if only in the calming of the swords and the silencing of shouts we could hear the truth be spoken to us so truly. Do we wish to hear it? To sit in a cell, it is not the lack of freedom that numbs the mind… It is the promise of it, a carrot dangling so close to your mouth. How close are we? Tell me then… Is it order that sows chaos… Or chaos that sows order? Or perhaps someone else? Everybody seems to have their answers… Lay their arms for them… I do not know. Perhaps soon. - Amako.
  18. Amako eyed the weapon given to her only a few hours before, still in disbelief that she had managed to land not one, but two hits against the officers. She now tended to the injured.
  19. Cool idea! I'll see how I can get that implemented, no promises. CT -62 160 14 /aviary Noted! One war at a time. I personally agree, but this requires further discussion. Yes, it would be cool, I'll work on it.
  20. @Halt Hey LotC, This is a follow-up to a previous community feedback post regarding the addition of new chat colors. I have updated the required legacy plugin(s) to support new colors and additional formatting options. These updates can be implemented immediately. However, before proceeding, I would like to gather further feedback to ensure the changes are applied correctly. New Chat Colors With a practically infinite amount of color options, to keep the theme of and general aesthetic of LotC, I’ve provided a few examples of pastel colors seen below: What are the community's thoughts on these color schemes? Given our talented pool of skinners and pixel artists, we would appreciate suggestions and insights on chat formatting from those with more experience. At present, we're thinking of limiting these perks to VIPs as an EULA-compliant reward for their support in maintaining the server. Another feature under consideration is allowing higher tiers of VIPs and above to choose custom chat colors using hex codes (e.g., #ffb3ba). Naturally, this would be subject to reasonable limitations to avoid unreadable or unsuitable colors. Implemented Changes Improved chunk loading times (with @Llir). Increased entity render distance for shop items, horses, animals, item frames, etcetera (more changes coming). Stabilized server TPS (ticks per second) at peak times. Reminder: These features might not make it to production and are in the idea stage only. Proposed Changes: Here are some potential changes the team is looking to introduce to the server to enhance the player experience, pending administrative approval. We would like to solicit further feedback from the community regarding these specific changes and any other changes you might like to see on LotC. Feel free to comment any further suggestions that were not mentioned here. Re-adding the ability to request players to halt by clicking on them from afar. (Displays a hint above the item-bar). Potentially adding more skin slots and removing cooldowns Making cosmetics such as OptiFine capes and various ones, e.g., Lunar visible again. Removal of CT resource island cooldown and fixing unharvestable nodes. The addition of training swords for every type of Surge weapon, for example, a Daemonsteel variant. The return of colored leather armor for players as well as horses. The removal of the cooldown between mounting and dismounting a horse. Optimizing the war server to achieve mostly stable TPS with parity to the main server, if not better performance akin to how it was when it was first implemented (cc: @Halt).
