  4. Gholug'Braduk shakes his head as he hears of the news. "There's a reason the clans split up to begin with. Too many people will be arguin' about who will lead the clans and when a new leader is to be chosen. Petty bickering will separate our clans even further, although I am sure they wouldn't listen to me. I suppose there's only one thing to do while they fight over the laws..." He steps into the tavern and slumps into the nearest seat. "Full tankard of grog!"

  9. MC Name: Boomzerang Nation(s)/Faction you belong to IC: Krugmar (Orcish Nation), Adherents of Tahariae Time Zone: GMT/BST Skype (if applicable): thedeadlyspinach Discord (if applicable): Boomzerang#5332 Forum Account Link: https://www.lordofthecraft.net/profile/86136-rob-boss/ Preferred Method of Contact: Skype, Discord, Forums or /msg How will you go about assisting new players?: As someone who, when compared to others, joined relatively recently, I still remember what trouble I had integrating, especially as someone who chose to pick an orc as their first ever persona. I believe I would be able to set whoever came to me going in the right direction, tell them how things generally work in the nation (As I highly doubt any new player will instantly wish to become a cleric), and just be someone they can ask for help in general, if they don't understand something about the server, be it mechanical or roleplay-based. I personally believe that once you start someone off with their new persona, they can take over controls, and come to you for help, without you having to constantly bug them about how to properly emote. They will either figure it out themselves, or hopefully, if you've made a good impression on them for the rest of the community, simply ask whomever they see first for help on that subject.
  10. OOC NOTE: I deserve Admin The Hunter becomes the Hunted [A depiction of a humanoid figure, presumably an orc, locked in combat with some sort of cat-like beast, most likely the one mentioned in the text] Translator’s Notes - This text has been translated from the Orcish ‘Blah’ into Common for ease of reading. It appears to be relatively old,and was found in the original Orcish capital of Axios, ‘San’Garath’ We arrived at Axios after a seemingly endless battle with the Spirits. After leaving the temple - a huge thing, carved and constructed into the depths of a tree’s roots - we immediately set off towards a place to call home. We found, after travelling for a few hours, a sort of jungle. As I stepped inside, behind the group, a feeling of unease swept over me. I hadn’t been used to this. I had been raised in the hot, arid lands of San’Thraka, not some damp rainforest with trees the size of a palace, but I couldn’t show any signs of discomfort, this would be my home for the rest of my time here in this forsaken place. We trudged deeper into the forest, the sound of feathered wings fluttering heard as we passed by their nests. We were met by a large clearing, a massive lake in the centre of it. Our Rex, Kharak, had already found the spot, and decided to set up a camp. After a short dialogue, about how we would rise to greatness here in Axios, he pointed to me and another orc. “Find food, you two.” After a brief moment of hesitation, we set off into the underbrush. Only the snapping of branches and the crunching of leaves was heard beneath our feet, as hard as we tried to mask it. My head snapped to the right when I heard something shuffling around in the leaves. It dashed away before I got a good look at it. Too small to catch if it made that little noise, I thought. We continued on our trek - rather, attempted. The moment that creature shifted in the leaves and my head came to face forwards again, a beast, at least twice my size, leapt out from my left, roaring in such a way I had never heard in my life. It was golden brown in colour, with darker brown, nearly black stripes arranged seemingly randomly across its back and sides. Its underbelly was a yellowish-white colour, similar to its teeth. Razor sharp things at least the length of my index. Its eyes were crimson and slitted, similar to those of the reptiles I had seen in the scorching heat of the desert, yet somehow different. It wasn’t lazy like the snakes I often saw lying in the sunlight. This thing was… Lively. This would be a first battle worthy of its name. I gripped my spear with both hands, looking to my companion, who followed my lead. I snarled at the beast in an attempt to scare it. It didn’t work. The animal, which I later decided to call Tigresi, after the Kharajyr of similar stature, looked to me, its eyes piercing through me. It charged straight towards me, aiming for my arm. I rolled out of the way when it was inches from me, causing it to charge headfirst into a tree. I ran to it, and impaled its leg with my spear. It howled in pain, and turned to face me yet again, this time more slowly. My partner in hunting lobbed his spear, aiming at the beast’s neck. He missed, striking it in the shoulder. It turned to him this time and swiped it from the position it was in. He was struck in the chest, bleeding, and I instructed him to stay back. With one of its back and front legs unable to move, I knew we had it cornered, that it would be easy to finish it off. I removed my spear from its leg, and holding it closer to the blunt end, drove it into the beast’s eye. It let out another howl in pain, and fell limp. We were victorious.

  12. Gholug'Braduk grunts as he finds the letter outside the clan hall of the Braduks. After a brisk moment of reading it, he tears the message to shreds, and flings it into a nearby fire. "Idiutz nub gruk when to ztop defend'n' a pinki..." He'd approach his steed, a large rhinoceros, with a horn-shaped cap of iron, engraved on it three words - his own name, the name of his clan, and the name of the beast. "W'ave won warz much more diffikult than thiz one will be." He'd place one foot into a stirrup. "Tik to praktize latz runnin', Zhunbo." He rides into the desert, lacking any sort of fear of loss, and any remorse for whoever attempts to stop his soon-to-be onslaught.
  13. Gholug'Braduk picks at his teeth while sat in the tavern, a large tankard of ale, now half empty, sitting in front of him. He'd begin to ponder about what he had done to Turkurz, another Uruk, even to the elf that had charged into him. "Hrmph... Zhould'a lizn'd to da Rex..." He mumbles to himself, this being his only justification. The thought, however, of harming an uruk that he had known for many a year, stayed at the back of his mind.
  14. Name: Boomzerang/Gholug'Braduk Skype: You have it Reason for Volunteering: Ever since I joined (A little over half a year ago) I've noticed that there has been a distinct lack of orcs - back in San'Thraka, I would see a maximum of maybe 3 or 4 orcs running around, not RPing unless there was an event of some sort. I hope to change that, so there'll be at least a few orcs on that new players can RP with at any one time Expected Activity: Most of the day, unless I have IRL things to do
