  1. The High Pontiff's Letter of Eucharist Being Thankful Dear brothers and sisters, The past Saint's Day saw the celebration of eucharist, from the Akritian 'efcharisto'; giving thanks. While not strictly a Canonist holiday, it is an occasion that brings families and friends together in humble displays of gratitude and compassion It is a time of reflection and generosity, of an openness to giving and receiving blessings. Because of the occasion having such beautiful effects, we would like to partake in this tradition by writing all of you, our faithful flock, a letter. We'd like to start by thanking GOD, for how he illumes us, how he guides and inspires us and how he has heard our prayers and given us chances to grow and be a better person. We are also thankful for how the canonist flock has received us since we became High Pontiff. While there have been some ups and downs in these first few years, overall the response has been overwhelmingly loving and welcoming and we sincerely thank you, all of you, from the deepest of our heart. Your love and compassion and supportiveness gives us strength and makes us want to be there for all of you all the more. We are thankful also, upon reflecting on recent events, for those of you who have been less loving, perhaps more reluctant, hesitant or even criticising. While your attitude towards us is sometimes hurtful or disappointing in the moment, we know that your criticisms are invaluable feedback that we must not ignore but keep on lending a listening ear to. We are thankful also for the people around us; for our Cardinals and Bishops who often lend a helping hand as well as good advice. For the men of the order of St. Jude who are always willing to be our valiant protectors. For those who have sought us out for the intimate and personal experience of confessing sins and the trust that comes with that sacrament. We are thankful for our family outside the church, our actual family, as well. For our brother Albert, who helps us hold a mirror to ourselves and makes us keep thinking straight when necessary at times. For our cousin Adrian, for always showing that even a distant relative (both in blood relation and physical distance) can still be a core part of one's family. For our niece Catriona, for always being a pleasant presence and bringing light to our day, like a daughter we never had. And while she might not expect such, we are thankful for our mother whom we have not seen much for over 40 years now, for she reminds us of the happy times of our youth and the love she gave us then. There are also some simpler though no less beautiful things in life we are thankful for. We are thankful for the food we eat - especially the sweet fruits and the pleasure we take in growing them. We are thankful for wine, which we make sure to enjoy in moderation. For our good health and that of our loved ones. We are thankful for the beauty and majesty of the churches and the enjoyment of reading books and taking walks in nature. We are thankful for our lovely horse Spirit, for our four-legged companion is a much beloved and loyal steed. Lastly we are thankful for all of the letters you write us and the messages you leave us. Correspondence with so many of our devoted faithful flock brightens our day, especially when it turns out there is something we can do to to help or brighten up someone else's day. On that note, we most humbly invite you, our faithful fellow canonists, to write back and share in good spirit what you are thankful for. We hope that you use this as an opportunity to reflect on all the things that are good in life and that you wish to thank God or other people for. The Canonist flock are assailed by trials and tribulations on many sides, Heavenly Father. We pray for the flock of Haense, whose warmth of spirit is being frozen by a never-ending winter and ask that You bless them with the thaw of spring. We pray for the flock of the midlands, of Numendil, Petra and Veletz, for they are troubled by the likes of Vampires, Azdrazi and wicked Magi, and ask that You cast down these threats to the faithful. We pray for the flock of Aaun, whose King lies hurt and bedridden after an evil man tried to bereave him of life, and ask that you bless their ruler with good health. And we pray for the flock of Balian, whose royal family was broken after the sacrament of marriage was severed, and ask that you console them. Above all however, Heavenly Father, we pray that these hardships bring us together as family, and that Your faithful are strengthened by enduring them. Amen. We decree the Curia to be thus: Vice Chancellor, His Eminence, Matthias Cardinal Lotharia Auditor of the Tribunal, His Eminence, Stanislaw Cardinal Westerwald Secretariat to His Holiness, His Eminence, Josef Cardinal Jorenus Prelate of the Priesthood, His Eminence, Antonius Cardinal Artorus Pontifical Chamberlain, His Eminence, Brandt Cardinal Albarosa Commandant of the Pontifical Guard, His Eminence, Odo Cardinal Gelimar SECTION IV - DIOCESAN APPOINTMENTS It is through our Apostolic Right, bestowed unto us through the Laurel derived from the Exalted that we appoint the following members of the priesthood to shepherd and be pastor of the Church’s Archdioceses and Dioceses: ARCHDIOCESE OF ALBAROSA To be shepherded by Archbishop Brandt Cardinal Albarosa DIOCESE OF BURON To be shepherded by Bishop Frantzisko DIOCESE OF GELIMAR To be shepherded by Bishop Odo Cardinal Gelimar DIOCESE OF ST. EMMA To be shepherded by Bishop Alexios DIOCESE OF ANDRIKEV To be shepherded by Bishop Amleth DIOCESE OF TYRIA To be shepherded by Bishop Mattia SECTION V - MARRIAGE DISSOLUTION Matrimony is a most Holy sacrament, granted by GOD through his clergymen that serve the flock. However while the union created between a man and a woman through the sacrament of Matrimony is meant to be an eternal one, sometimes the situation causes the Church to have to intervene, for one reason or another, through an official dissolution of the pair’s union. Today, We perform such once more, as It is through Our Apostolic Right, bestowed unto Us through the Laurel derived from the Exalted that We officially dissolve the union of Adrian of Balian and Andromeda Ester, on the grounds of abandonment and denouncement through Andromeda’s departure from Balian and her disloyalty to and forsaking of Adrian after many years of an unhappy marriage, and the struggle of the latter to make said marriage work. We wish that GOD grant mercy to this separated couple in the next chapters, and We request that they seek Our approval before once again receiving the sacrament of matrimony. SECTION VI - ON THE FERRYMEN Recently we called for the warriors and knights of Canondom to assemble and ride with us to Veletz and Haense. The reason was that the Ferrymen had sought to make their return by kidnapping a pregnant woman, the Princess Sibyl, heir to the Kingdom of Balian. We hereby condemn the actions of the Ferrymen and declare them EXCOMMUNICATED and ANATHEMA. No service or sacrament is to be given to any of their members by any member of the clergy. They reside outside the law of both the Church and secular realms, with their rights forfeited. If any of their members consider themselves Canonists, they may individually seek me out for their penance. We wish to make something very clear; that actions like these are a slight against the Canonist family and they cannot stand. One cannot be a Ferryman or aid a Ferryman and consider themselves a Canonist. Ferrymen cannot live a Canonist life because their lifestyle blasphemes GOD. The age of terrorist behavior like what was displayed by these bandits is done. The Ferrymen as a group laid dead in the dust for a while now and we prefer they remain dead. Their actions have proven that the Canonist League was right in claiming that the Ferrymen reside in Veletz, for they have shown themselves to use the Mareno keep as a base of operations. We say thus to Captain-General Gaspard of the League of Veletz; evict these men and declare them banished, else you aid these terrorists and shall be considered one of them rather than a good Canonist and be likewise declared excommunicated and anathema. We have also seen that a band of Orcs came to the aid of the Ferrymen - for which we admonish the Rex. Let there be no confusion; the Ferrymen are not some sort of lovable rogues who fight a just cause against the remnants of an oppressive Orenian Empire. They are bandits, criminals, killers: terrorists, who make up excuses for supposed heroism while taking a pregnant and innocent woman from her home and threatening to kill her. Let there be no confusion also of the nature of the intervention that happened to try to negotiate the princess’ release; it was not an invasion of Veletz or Ferrymen territory by Haense. The King of Haense, the Admiral of Balian and the Grandmaster of the Order of Saint Jude were there under our banner. We take full responsibility. This was a Canonist mission of liberation inside of Canonist lands. So we say to the Ferrymen; do not try to spin this as some sort of unjust act of war where you are the victims. We thank our good and devout Canonist faithful for heeding the call and coming together as one big family in an attempt to free our sister in GOD from these wicked men. As of right now it is unclear what has happened to her, some say she lives and some say she was killed. Regardless, we shall pray for her soul and her wellbeing and that of her unborn child. Blessed are those who are persecuted for their righteousness, for theirs is the Kingdom of God. SECTION VII - VENERATIONS It is through Our Apostolic Right, bestowed unto Us through the Laurel derived from the Exalted that We affirm the following venerations: VENERABLE HENRY ALSTION Prince Henry Alstion was deemed Venerable as per decision of a Curia meeting held under our predecessor Sixtus V for his lifelong commitment to the Church - first as a layman, later as a deacon - and the role he played in ensuring peace among Canondom by ending the long-term war between the Duchy of Adria and the Canonist League. VENERABLE FATHER ARMAND Cardinal-Archbishop Armand of Lotharia is made venerable for his efforts in spearheading the crusade on the Azdrazi heralds of Azdromoth, the role he has played in combating the forces of evil in general, serving the Church faithfully as Auditor for decades and his invaluable contributions to the Magic Commission. VENERABLE KING CHARLES I OF AAUN King Charles of Aaun is made venerable in recognition for his unwavering loyalty to the Church and defense of our most holy institution throughout his lengthy life and reign. His legacy of devotion to the Church among the population of Aaun can be felt to this day and the importance of him standing up for the Canonist Church when an alliance led by Sedan threatened to schism over the issue of investiture cannot be denied. SECTION VIII - BEATIFICATION It is through Our Apostolic Right, bestowed unto Us through the Laurel derived from the Exalted that We affirm the following beatification: BLESSED SISTER CALLIOPE Sister Calliope Renata of Merryweather was a nun hailing from the House of Alstreim who joined the Church’s sisterhood in the Principality of Savoy. Aside from her service to the Church and her Faithful, she is beatified for the miracle she is believed to have performed at the Duchy of Reinmar in Haense in 1943. The Duchy was attacked by a band of undead led by a necromancer, who set the lands of the Duke ablaze and slaughtered his animals. After the attack, the Duke went to a chapel and prayed to Sister Calliope for intercession, upon which he saw a vision of the nun. After leaving the chapel, it was apparent that - miraculously - the damage the undead’s fire and blades had done to the Duchy had been reversed as if nothing had happened. 4. THE PONTIFICAL CORONATION OF 1950 THE CORONATION OF ARCHBISHOP ARNAUD CARDINAL ALBAROSA Most beloved flock, blessings and benediction, Two months ago, His Holiness High Pontiff Sixtus the fifth was laid to rest in a ceremony overseen by Patriarch Josef of Jorenus, after which his remains were cremated. Once this chapter in our church’s history was closed, the College of Cardinals gathered nextdoor to the Basilica in the late Pontiff’s residence for a conclave. I now feel blessed to formally announce to all of Canondom that it was me who was elected to serve as His Holiness’ successor in said conclave. The votes were cast by Cardinal Matthias of Lotharia, Cardinal Antonius of Artorus, Cardinal Josef of Jorenus and myself. The election was a close one, initially being tied. After lengthy and careful deliberation however, the votes were counted as three votes to one and it was thus that the Church of the Canon had its next Pontiff-Elect and I was chosen to be the next Vicar of God. To officiate this duty and great honor being bestowed upon me and come together to celebrate this momentous occasion for all our Canonist family, I invite you all to come and partake in the ceremony of my Pontifical Coronation. The event is to be held in three Saint’s Days, in the Temple of the Exalted Prophets of the Canon outside Whitespire, Aaun. 5. THE FUNERAL OF HIGH PONTIFF SIXTUS V His Holiness Sixtus V lay in state at the Everardian Basilica. Valdev, Haense A MESSAGE FROM THE VICE CHANCELLOR OF THE CHURCH OF THE CANON Our dear Canonist flock, by now you are undoubtedly all aware of the great misfortune that has befallen our family in recent days, with the passing of our Faith’s leader, the Vicar of God, His Holiness, Sixtus the fifth. As our Church’s Vice Chancellor, it is my duty to soon laud in and organize a gathering of the College of Cardinals to elect whomever is most suited to be the late High Pontiff’s successor. However before we put the quill to the paper on that matter, we must first close the current chapter of our most Holy Church’s history, the great and lengthy story of Sixtus V. FUNERAL SERVICE Unfortunately, the late Pontiff has not left us any wishes in regards to how he would prefer his funeral to be conducted, but that does not mean it shall be conducted without great care. Sixtus the fifth, born Iosif Sigmar Basrid, was a canonist of the Ruskan Rite and before he was elected as the Vicar of God, he was Patriarch of Jorenus and served the Haeseni King as Palatine. His Holiness was a Haenseman, a fine and pious example of one, who taught his students - among whom I find myself - not just the importance of Canonism, but so too also the importance of the teachings of the Exalted Sigismund. Yet despite all he taught me, I do not follow the Ruskan Rite and I am no Haenseman. Therefore I have decided that, in order to give the late Pontiff the funeral that best suits him, it shall be held in the Everardian Basilica in Haense, conducted by Patriarch Josef according to the local traditions His Holiness was accustomed to. Those who wish to say a few words themselves about Sixtus V or Iosif, could perhaps find a chance to do so, but are asked to reach out to myself or the Patriarch in advance. MASS Following the Funeral Service, as is customary, there will be a mass held within the Everardian Basilica, in which the late Pontiff’s legacy will be further honored and in which we shall pray for his ascendency into the Seven Skies. We humbly yet devotedly invite all the good faithful to join us in this grand ceremony. [[SUNDAY 04:00 PM EST - 09:00 PM GMT - 10:00 PM CET]] REQUIESCE IN PACE HIS HOLINESS SIXTUS V, High Pontiff of the Church of the Canon, Patriarch-Emeritus of Jorenus, Successor of the High Priesthood of the Church, Supreme Pontiff of the Church of True Faith, Keeper of the Canon, Missionary to Aeldin, High Servant to the Exalted's Testaments, Humble Servant of the Faithful and Vicar of GOD 82 SA - 154 SA
  6. Father Arnaud would solemnly mourn the passing of the late Pontiff, the man who had once educated him, been his mentor, inducted Arnaud into the faith. It was a sore loss to see Iosif, alias Sixtus the fifth, move from this plane to the next, but the Cardinal found comfort in praying for him and the thought he was surely in a better place now, among the virtuous dead in the Seven Skies.
  7. An Occult Ritual In the Cathedral of Albarosa Blessings and peace be upon GOD's faithful, I want to sketch you a picture of what I encountered today. Early in the morning, I got up and got dressed before walking to the Cathedral of the Four Exalted nextdoor for my morning prayer. Immediatly upon entering, something struck me as... off. Usually, after one of the deacons lights all of the candles in the cathedral upon nightfall, many of these candles will still be burning in the early morning. However when I entered today at twilight, the Cathedral was unusually dark. The only candles I could spot lit, were sets of candles in the wings of the cathedral, below various icons of Saints that hang there. As I wandered over to them instinctually, they seemed perfect normal at first. Then I was dumbfounded. The icons of Saints above the candles were not depicting real Saints at all. They depicted figures by the names of 'Zeer', 'Graiyon', 'Sylvester' and 'Harman'. Not knowing quite what to think of this, I stared at them for a moment before deciding I'd deal with it after morning prayer at the altar. As I approached the altar though in the first gloom of morning light coming through the vast stained glass window, I spotted something upon the ground before the altar. Upon closer inspection I suddenly found myself standing in the midst of a large occult pentacle; a daemonic five-pointed star symbol, and what's worse it seemed to be stained onto the tiles not with chalk or paint, but with blood. The gasp I made at my discovery must've been loud enough to startle the sleeping, because suddenly I heard a soft bleating coming from the moody corner behind the baptismal font. This bleat was soon answered by responding bleating from behind the altar and the sarcophagus, as a fivesome of horned goats made their presence apparent and approached me. Curious at first, but soon stubborn and aggressive, trying to attack me by headbutting. Five goats surrounded me then, as I stood on a pentacle of blood made before the altar in a cathedral with depictions of strange 'saints'. What has happened in this Holy building, this Home of GOD? What kind of occult ritualistic practices were committed here during the night and who is responsible? I will have these strange daemonic evils, these horned animalistic servants, the fake saints and the pentacle removed and purged, sure. I will also have the cathedral re-consecrated, sure. But who did this and why? I seek answers and aid, and for this I turn to GOD's faithful flock. If you have any information regarding who might be responsible for what happened or what kind of evil sorcery is at play here, please let me or any other members of the Church know. No evil may deface the House of the Lord unpunished, so let us work together on enacting GOD's justice. By the Grace of GOD, Signed, His Eminence Father Arnaud Constantine Novellen, Pontifical Vice-Chancellor, Cardinal of the Canonist Church, Archbishop of Albarosa, Bishop of Buron, Pastor of the Crownlands.
  8. Maybe? It's never really stated on which plane Aeldin exists... The wiki page says it might even exist in its own world without a connection to Aegis or Anthos, so... Not much to work with there. Considering there was an exodus from Anthos to Aeldin though, and Aevos is confirmed to be located south of Anthos, I'd say we're probably on the same 'side of the world-coin' as you call it.
  9. Hello Everyone! After a while I'm back with yet another guide to open up the server's lore a little further and hopefully make it a bit more easily accessible and understandible! I'm going on a trip to the United States soon, which means that in rp, my priest character will be 'going on a pilgrimage to Aeldin'. I'm sure many of the older players have heard the 'going to Aeldin' excuse for ooc absence before, but... what is Aeldin? Hopefully with the stuff I've made for you guys today, the answer to that question becomes a little clearer. As for my sources for this one; all the information comes from the Aeldin wiki page and the lore and 2 maps that can be found there: https://wiki.lordofthecraft.net/index.php?title=Aeldin What I've got for y'all is a series of maps depicting Aeldin. My hope is that you can consult these maps when reading the lore or trying to find something about Aeldin, and get a clearer picture of the place than the already existing maps give you. The maps that exist already are beautiful and credit to whoever made them (its not stated, but it wasnt me!), but they don't give a particularly clear view of the continent. Okay so Aeldin is a continent? Yes, to give you a brief rundown or recap; Aeldin is a continent that has existed in LOTC's lore for a while. Because it was a map on a different server, for LOTC it is strictly a place that exists in lore. Throughout LOTC's many years of existence, characters have originated in Aeldin or left for Aeldin never to come back. Some have journeyed there and did return. Usually, this is an in-rp excuse like I said for player absence, but in some cases Aeldin has served as more of a plot device. Like when back in Anthos, the Horen dynasty along with many Imperial Orenians left on an Exodus to Aeldin, conquering much of the continent and establishing an Empire there in-lore, before returning to the actual map of the server where they reconquered their ancestral lands from the Ashford dynasty. (This was represented in my Orenian Nations Tree guide, be sure to check that one out too:) TLDR: So without further ado: I have three maps for you today. Map 1 shows the nations that exist in Aeldin, as of the ending of the lore, they're said to be relatively unchanged. On Map 2 the racial makeup of Aeldin is shown, based on what the major race in an area is (sometimes assumed based on names when not explicitly stated in the lore.) On Map 3, I've stripped down the wiki page's map of Aeldin that had a whole bunch of place names, to only include place names that are mentioned in the lore, or otherwise relevant. Hopefully the last one is a useful piece of reference when reading. Enjoy! If you want to know something about what's shown on the maps - or Aeldin's lore but you can't be bothered to read all of it: feel free to ask. Oh and don't forget to +1! :)

  13. ARNAUDINE TEACHINGS or The Interpretation Of The Canonist Faith By Cardinal Arnaud of Albarosa Written by Cardinal-Archbishop Arnaud of Albarosa FOREWORD For quite a few years now, I have been educating people in the ways of the Church and raising them up from acolytes and laymen to priests and deacons. In my teaching and mentoring I try to include not only the doctrine and catechism, but also my personal beliefs and my interpretation of the Scrolls. In an effort to lay these out clearly and hopefully inspire more good souls, I write down these thoughts. I: FINAL COMMAND While I do not consider myself a follower of the Ruskan Rite (nor the Owynist Rite for that matter), at the core of my personal interpretation of the faith is a line of scripture stemming from the Scroll of Auspice. In the Vision of Paradise, passage 11 reads: “Now the final command of GOD, which is the perfection of the world”. It is my belief that this passage is to be taken literally, and that a command from GOD cannot be stalled until the end of times comes about. After all, God, in His infinite wisdom, must have made sure to inform us of this command of His’ in advance through the Scroll of Auspice instead of us only learning of His final command when the time comes. Thus instead of stalling on answering His command, we must begin to work on perfecting the world already through ways of architecture, art, natural beauty and promotion of virtue. This strife towards perfection must be led by Mankind as the people bound by Horen's Covenant, but it is then also our duty to involve the other descendants in this Holy mission, for no perfection is incomplete. This idea of the pursuit of the Final Command is central to my interpretation of the Faith, as will become apparent in several follow-up tenets. II: THE DUALITY OF MAN One question central to philosophy is what one's purpose is in life or existence more broadly. Some might say that Canonist scripture sheds light on this to an extent, but leaves room for discussion. I believe however that, as far as humans in particular and the other races in extension are concerned, the Scrolls can be interpreted to outline quite clearly what our purpose is. In relation to God, His Creation and His struggle with Iblees, we serve a dual purpose. I call this purpose the Duality of Man. One the one side there is a purpose for mankind that I briefly hinted at already when elaborating on the Final Command, namely our purpose and our duty as moral leaders. It is our purpose to work on perfecting the world and promoting and instilling virtue in our fellow descendants. Thus we are God's chosen moral leaders, beacons of virtue, builders of perfection. The second purpose we have can also be clearly found in Scripture and is essential to the central point of contention of our Faith; the struggle between good and evil, virtue and sin, God and Iblees. God gathers the souls of the virtuous in the Seven Skies not merely as a reward for a good life, but so to as a means of amassing an army, as is revealed also in the Scroll of Auspice. When the end of times comes and Iblees falls upon the world with his harbingers of all that is unholy, it is all God's might that pours forth and descends upon the world from the Seven Skies as an army composed of the virtuous dead. God's Kingdom lies in the Seven Skies, and those who ascend to there are His kingdom's soldiers, warriors for the Lord, vanquishers of Iblees' evils. Thus our second purpose is to be soldiers of the Kingdom of God, and we must remember this. III: BODY AND SOUL In order to fullfill the roles that come with our duties as soldiers of the Kingdom of God and moral leaders striving for perfection, we must work on ourselves first, perfecting our body and soul respectively. For you cannot perfect the world around you without working first on perfecting yourself. Therefore I hold the belief for one, that man must strive to be 'whole of body' to be able to serve their purpose as a soldier of God, for what use is a fat, weak man as a soldier? One must train their body and live a healthy life without excess and gluttony, living by the virtue of temperance instead. There is no more unhealthy being, no man less worthy of respect, than he who lets himself be corrupted by the vices of glutton, inebriation and intoxication. For that is a man who lets their body be ruled by Iblees. Mirroring this strict disciplining of the mortal body, is the disciplining of the immortal soul. In order to be a paragon of virtue, a moral beacon, one must first find stability within and inner peace. One must awaken this inner peace, this feeling of holiness buried within each person, through training, much like one would train the body. This is done for one through prayer and confession, but also through fasting and less common means such as meditation and self-restraint - practices our farfolk and easterling brethren are more experienced in. Through nurturing and training both the Body and the Soul with means like this, a person becomes truly able to fulfill the Duality of Man GOD has set out for them, and thus I believe them to be as central to our Faith as reading the Scripture or attending Mass. IV: BREAD AND ROSES I believe that just having faith alone means little, instead one has to act on their faith. Since we have a role to play for the Lord, for His Creation and for one another, we must put words to action in pursuit of fulfilling this role. My interpretation of the Faith is meritocratic in that sense: those who put words into action should be seen and I think are seen by GOD as better Canonists than those who simply keep their beliefs to themselves. The main pursuit which Canonists ought to act on then is enabling others in their quest for personal growth and perfection - or, in other words - good deeds. Mirroring the perfection of Body and Soul discussed prior, I would dub these efforts to be a pursuit of 'Bread and Roses' as the old Sanoist saying goes. Providing Bread and Roses being the providing of what is needed for the Body and Soul respectively, yes, but also a simplified synonym of what Canonists need to share on a deeper level: Charity and Love. Doing acts of charity and love to help others in their personal growth is, in my interpretation of our faith, the best way a Canonist can show their devotion and dedication. It is at the very core of what we must do on a day to day basis to bring about the perfection of the world and the rescuing of souls. And in my belief, perhaps it is time we shed more light on these sorely needed acts of kindness, taking a more active approach to our beliefs.
  14. Father Arnaud would mourn in reclusion for his fellow Cardinal whom he’d seen as an example and above all a friend, praying for Teodosio’s soul.

  16. A Nighttime Vision It was pitch-dark in the room as Father Arnaud arose from his slumber. Thinking he had awoken in the middle of the night, he turned around to try to get back to sleep, only to suddenly see a soft glow reflected on the wall. He turned back around in his bed to find one of his prayer candles on the other side of the room had lit itself. Baffled, he stared at the small flickering light in the darkness. His eyes locked on the slight dance of the flame as he was lost in thoughts before suddenly finding he was not in his room anymore. As soon as he took his eyes off of the candle, it wasn't there anymore either. Instead he found himself in dark hall only lit by starlight which seemed to be coming from nowhere in particular. While the flame of the candle was gone, and he was no longer under his bedsheets, a sudden warmth overtook him. At the far end of the hall, white light seeped and flowed into the space as if out of the walls and ceiling that remained obscured in darkness, and slowly the light pooled together and formed a fire absent of color like fresh solstice snow. And with the fire's luminance more was revealed; the place it had pooled was a large bowl atop an altar, and the fire seemed ethereal without the sound of burning. As Arnaud turned to look about the hall he heard a voice calmly calling his name as if a whisper on the wind - he did not know the voice but it seemed familiar somehow. "I came." He found himself uttering in response to the calling. "Sign the Cross before proceeding, for this is my tabernacle." The voice told him, and so Arnaud did as told, signing the Lorraine Cross before taking steps further down the great hall. And lo and behold, walls and a ceiling revealed themselves, covered in an aristry the likes of which the priest had never seen before. They were not life-like but living, as if the colours spoke with light, the portrayals moving and interacting with one another. "Whose tabernacle?" Arnaud asked in awe, to which the calm voice responded. "The tabernacle of Faith and Paradise, of Origin and Conclusion. Soul and Skies." Arnaud didn't wholly understand, nor did he dare to inquire further, observing the spectacle in silence as he signed the Lorraine two more times before coming upon a different place - or so he thought. He had looped back to the other side of the white fire on the altar, unable to walk away from it. On this side there were six seats. "Sit, you know these Stations." And as Arnaud sat down in the seat that felt his', he was no longer alone for in the other seats he saw the visage of three fellow Cardinals; Antonios - he seemed normal, the 'Tonito' he knew, Josef - who appeared marred, obscured by gluttony and greed, and Teodosio - who worried him the most for he appeared thin and fading, as if his presence was still there but only fleeting. "Where is Armand?" "This is everyone, and your numbers will Wane before they Wax. Understand this and act on it." The voice came from the white fire, it was clear - the light shining brighter as the voice spoke. When Arnaud looked away from the flame his fellow Cardinals, the seats, the grand hall, they had all disappeared. They were on a mountain without wind, the white fire's altar now a crude yet shaped rock. "You come from a River's waters, but names are deceiving. This one bears not life." And as Arnaud stared down into the vast valleys and glades below the mountain he saw the grandeur of the land. While the world was still obscured by the dark of the night, he could see the reflection starlight shown in the river as it twisted through dark mountains. "You know who made the River and the Mountains, but you also know Who had them corrupted. You long for Paradise and wish to be a shepherd that leads the astrayed flock to there? This can be Paradise." The voice said unto Arnaud, who lifted a long stick, holding it as a shepherd's staff. "I do. Can this be Paradise though? It seems neither worldly nor of the Skies." The landscape he saw was familiar, appearing like Aevos but off, a tad unfamiliar yet better. More beautiful. "It is not Paradise. No mortal eyes may yet bear to see such a sight save the fourth prophet." "So what is this?" "The world uncorrupted, without Iblees. You know this place. The River bears your name, you have walked these Mountains." And starlight revealed a mountain overlooking the river, topped with a singular grand rock at its peak, its roots reaching to the sea. "See here is the mountain crowned at its summit. But the rock that is the crown stands upon rocks of pride and vanity. The mountain is of sin. And the river is not from the springs of Gamesh, but a river of blood sprung from wrath. It is Iblees who sows the seeds but the children of Malin, Krug, Urguan and Horen that corrupt Creation." The white fire upon the rock disbundled, the streams of pure light evaporating into the sky and forming stars far above. "The appearance that was chosen is of Holy Light and Owyn's Flame, of Divine wonders and purification. You wish to be a shepherd? Then you must separate the wolves from the sheep, you must purify. It is the sons and daughters that are soldiers of God's Kingdom, it is the sons and daughters that dwell in Paradise, but it is the sons and daughters that fall to Iblees. It is the sons and daughters that corrupt Creation." And as the voice spoke of Creation being corrupted, the world Arnaud saw from atop the mountain changed and was made different. The rivers ran red with blood, the trees withered into empty shadows, the mountains fell at the sound of Aengulic clarion calls and the seas burst into flames. "Divine retribution. The Coming of the Lord... Either His will be done or we come to end of days." The priest muttered in awe of the sight he was seeing as the world crumbled and fell into ruin save for the mountain he stood on. "God is Mercy, but so too Almighty. You understand, Now Go." The voice spoke to Arnaud in one final command before suddenly the priest was nearly blown off his feet by the wind rushing into the world. And the flames of the sea merged together into a ball of fire that soon rose from the horizon as the dawn. And the world had become familiar again as Arnaud now truly awoke from his slumber, stood atop a mountain overlooking Aevos.
  17. The Holy University of Albarosa In an effort to promote education and learning among the Canonist flock, the Church - spearheaded by the Archbishop Albarosa - has sought to establish a new institution of learning where the brightest minds of the faith may come together. To this end, we hereby announce the establishment of the Holy University of Albarosa. Location The University shall be located in its namesake Archdiocese; Albarosa. Its main building is found next to the Cathedral that serves as the seat of the Archdiocese, in the attached Church District in Whitespire, the United Kingdom of Aaun. 23. 1: Difficult question, but on a whim I'd probably say Karl Amador and Feodor May. 2: Been a part of many different communities over the years, and I'd probably say Haense. Though I will say I think the Haense community has changed a bit from when I liked rping there the most, so I've kind of moved away from Haense. 3: Not really sure, I guess the most logical answer for me would be when I permanently lose interest in LOTC or if I finish studying and get a full-time teaching job. 4: Being a NL doesn't appeal that much to me, though maybe if it's a smaller nation I'd give it a shot. In terms of goals though, I think I wanna be Pontiff at some point, seems like fun rp. 5: Right so, I get this question once a while, sometimes also pertaining to like art/skin comissions. My view on comissioning stuff is: I would not pay real money for a skin/art/VIP (thanks to Language for my gold vip)/builds, not because I don't think they're not worth paying for, but because I'm kinda stingy. The way I feel about it though is if I wouldn't pay for something, I'm not gonna ask someone else to pay for something. So instead of doing commissions, I'll help friends out with building or art or whatever for free as long as I think it's fun. So when will I do build comissions? Probably never, unless they're for minas or something. We're kinda weird. Also Dutch people don't bring a smile to my face like Flemish people do. Love Flemish people.
  24. 0 = 0 9 - 9 = 21 - 21 The equation above can also be written down as 3^2 - 3^2 = (7*3) - (7*3) You gotta remember though that a^2 - b^2 = (a + b)(a - b) Sooo... (3 + 3)(3 - 3) = 7(3 - 3) The (3 - 3) bracket exists on both sides of the equation so you can remove that, making us end at: 3 + 3 = 7 I might do a more in-depth tutorial at some point, but essentially it's a lot of copy-pasting certain characters and color codes. These links should help and make it pretty self explanatory: https://nl.piliapp.com/symbol/ https://minecraft.fandom.com/wiki/Formatting_codes
