Because the entire basis of your argument is grounded on shilling for someone who has proven to be repeatedly and needlessly problematic It's not a privilege that's afforded to literally any other group, race, or magic on the server. That's where anyone would benefit unfairly. This isn't a serverwide problem where there are swathes of people who want to find ways to revert their CAs or FAs. Players who get bored of CAs or FAs either shelf or PK the character, it's that simple. This is a character attachment issue, not a lore issue. Most players don't go through hell and back trying to loophole, go behind the team's back knowingly, and furthermore make a victimizing post as if the punishment received is the most ridiculous thing in the world A person getting lore infractioned and banned after repeated offenses and warnings is our own "failure?" It's honestly amazing how people who hate the ST will come up with some of the most pathetic straw-grasping excuses in the world if it means blaming them for something I know that you hate the ST but please realize that it's not our job to cater to every single person who gets so attached to their character that they're willing to take bans, lore blacklists, and otherwise remove any possibility they have for doing anything interesting in order to make them a normal person again. I can't think of a single player who has went to such an extent in my 6 years on the server If you actually think that's a normal, reasonable way to handle it then I can't do anything to make you feel better about this

I promise no one actually thinks people who break lore or powergame in minecraft or whatever are evil scumbags irl and that's most certainly not the case here That's exactly how it is though? There isn't a single CA, FA, or MA on the server that can be forced upon someone OOCly even in cases where it's forced RPly. Other characters can perform entire rituals on you to transform your character into some horrible eldritch monster RPly, but if you don't want to OOCly, you can literally just say no as long as there's a consent clause in the lore. There are tens of CAs, MAs, and FAs that have this OOC consent clause. It's an entirely different story when someone willingly does the roleplay of acquiring their CA, willingly submits an app, and willingly roleplays their RP changes for months after. Players who do such do it of their own volition and consent to the consequences of the roleplay, and if there's a genuine case where someone is OOCly forced, threatened, or pressured into pursuing something, then there's certainly a possibility to discuss the issue with management. If the ST wrote amendments/additions for every single player who wanted a reversion process for their character, we'd be seeing pieces that contradict literal irl years worth of canon lore. It's cheap "I should be able to do this even if it makes zero sense to anything this server has ever known in the last 10 years of its existence, just because I want to" behavior, and it's absolutely not something that should be encouraged. Like soul said, you don't join an RP server and choose to follow the rules that favor you and ignore the ones that don't, and furthermore ask that the rules be altered to benefit yourself just because you want them to. On top of that, the whole "it's just minecraft why are you taking it so seriously" thing is just a lazy way to excuse people getting away with things they shouldn't be doing.

Hi, yeah, I was the one who oversaw the situation leading up to your ban Since acquiring Epiphyte at roughly the end of 2021, it's been an ongoing issue with the team of you attempting to circumvent this non-reversible CA by either ST shopping, asking for your app to be hidden, or attempting to acquire other incompatible CAs, which you admitted to in our forum DMs after I informed you that I mistakenly accepted your (incompatible) corcitura CA. You directly stated in DMs that you'd continue to ignore the CA and would accept a lore-infraction if it means you get to avoid the CA. It was only because of this that a mod was contacted, because accepting a lore-infraction isn't a trade for the CA, which is why a ban was pursued on top of a lore infraction. Furthermore, in the mod's DMs, you stated that you're willing to accept any bans that would come as a result of your uncooperation. You were absolutely informed that you would be banned. This might sound harsh, but this is not a "I'm being harassed, I'm the victim," situation. This is a, "I just don't want to," situation. You were very well aware that there would be further punishment to you refusing to cooperate, yet, you still chose to take the ban and infraction, still chose to play the victim and furthermore chose to try to convince people that it's somehow unjustified. There is not a single alternate reality where we could've done anything else to warn you that there would be a further punishment, because you had everything leading up to your ban coming. I get that it's easy to get attached to characters, and I'm not dogging on you for wanting to continue playing your character, but there isn't a single other CA or FA on the server that is afforded the "I'm bored, I don't want to continue playing it" privelege. If they do the roleplay to get reverted, they get reverted. If it's non-reversible, they're stuck that way. Not to mention the fact that your character isn't being even revoked, they're just an epiphyte. This was blown up for no reason. Btw, you don't get to do this deflection thing of "I just wanted to do an ama" while simultaneously showing people screenshots of our interaction in DMs (while obviously only telling half of the story) and starting your post with "I'm banned because I don't want to play an epiphyte"

I will say that one of my biggest concerns with freebuild is how it tends to be treated by new players. A player who joins the server was advertised that LOTC is a server where they can build their own empire, become a king, queen, whatever, but when they actually attempt to do such via freebuild, they come to realize how astronomically difficult this is. Even for some veteran players, creating (let alone maintaining) a long-term community is extremely difficult. You get new players who are under the impression they can get all of this with freebuild, which is sadly not the case. It might be something noobs want, but isn't something that they need. Freebuild doesn't keep noobs, roleplay does. also inb4 the "if you don't like freebuild you're a braindead moron" comments

Awesome plugin and definitely long overdue for the server Does a bird *have* to be represented by an actual bird? For example, could a druid use their animal companion (like a cat or lizard) to send a letter, or can a Naztherak use a Zevn imp (tiny demon goblins)? Not asking that the bird is MCly represented as such, but rather, that it could be emoted that way purely for flavor if a player wishes. Would be awesome for people who want to add that bit of aesthetic to their RP :)

idea spitballing inbound i've always been a huge advocate of anti-cloud temple roleplay. CT should not be treated as an RP hub and i think most of us can agree on this. putting the CT on a separate world warp, or in the "sky" as an actual cloud temple will help keep mundane RP disconnected, but still serve as a placeholder for revival mechanics and whatever relatively OOC interactions can be found there. i know on almaris the world team attempted something "different" with CT this time around, and don't get me wrong, by itself it looks great, but it's not good for lotc. the layout, design, the size. it's not good. deviation is good, but we can deviate in a way that isn't totally devoid of what we've known for the last 10 years. keep the familiarity, keep the nostalgia, give it some more life, but don't make it an oversized hypixel lobby speaking of, I would ******* LOVE to see some floating islands. they're ******* cool. maybe their weight is only tethered to the ground by some magical force, vines, ancient chains, whatever can be thought of, and have daunting, ancient bridges that players can cross from island to island with, and actually allow them to be traversible. imagine having a CRP fight up there with some people, or mages trying to knock each other off, shit like that have we ever thought of going underground? almaris has a lot of caves, sure, but most are.. pretty boring. most are mundane, normal caves. i'm talking actual underground biomes that's more than just "medium sized cave." give us some cool ravines, stretches of underground plate that cross beneath cities and settlements. sections of land that collapsed in on itself, overgrown by nature with rays of light shining through as you look up from the bottom. arcas had a lot of these things, especially near the main roads. it was interesting to look at. what about trees? it feels like forever now that all we've ever had for trees was just "big tree. big spruce tree." instead of anything that actually feels like fantasy. in fact, at this point, I'd much rather see a normal tree than a giant 100 block tall pine tree. it doesn't feel like a real world at that point. I'm not arguing "realistic," but rather, something that can be envisioned and imagined as you walk through. give us trees enhanced by fantasy aspects, and don't just make all of them humungous. normal sized trees are fine. i would LOVE to see an "enchanted forest" type biome, and I'm sure many elves would too. giant mushrooms, floating wisps of blue light, eternally night but lit up by natural light. there were many parts of atlas that incorporated strong bioluminescence, especially in the water. I'd love to see what neat building tricks could be pulled off to accomplish that there are so many possibilities
