  1. This particular passage humors Galahad, as evidenced by the faint huff that slipped from his nose upon reading. Not humorous enough to make him laugh outright, but it's certainly a bold claim to make all things considered. He doesn't dwell on it though.
  2. just gonna come out and say that people didn't dislike this because "waaahh my slice of life I dont like risk" people disliked it because it was uninteractive to fall into a 50 block deep death pit out of nowhere and pop before u can even emote or react. if u wanna invoke "risk" there are ways to do this other than popping people MCly and masking it as risky exploration RP bc the truth is that it's just unfun to most players and if the majority of people dislike it it's probably for a reason like I don't know, make paths that require u to parkour through and strategically navigate, make labyrinths or hidden areas to discover, and if you really want to make "traps" just let people fall into an inescapable pit so they can SS out afterward. popping people on purpose for shock value is just lame

  5. admittedly I was really ready to dismiss this post under the assumption that, while clearly well intended, it would simply be trendy for a few days before being forgotten like the myriad of other posts like it. as we all know most discussion posts (with rare exceptions) tend not to inspire actual change, are simply unable to inspire change, or propose non-useful, non-viable solutions that are the equivalent of asking the playerbase to hold hands and expecting them to do it obviously it won't fix everything but the outright removal of rep would be an interesting social experiment for admins to consider, even if just for a few months. making the forums less desirable/rewarding to post on could either encourage more engaging, sincere conversations, or have the opposite effect where we see fewer people engaging with content, fewer people dunking on their enemies with a quick quip both irp and OOCly, and a potential ripple effect that at could at least no longer enable some the server's other underlying issues even if we gave rep the benefit of the doubt, the most value we can amount forum it to is that it's a quick, recognizable indicator of how much support a post or idea has, and I mean this in the most general way possible, because sometimes (as we've seen) trendy forum posts can be a simple consequence of people sharing it to their network of friends or discord servers asking them to +1, as well as outright herd mentality I don't know what all I can bring to the table that hasn't already said but I can't think of a single consequence to making rep obsolete and would encourage admins to seriously consider the idea. and yes everyone knows it won't fix all of our problems but it's sure as hell a good place to start when it seems like nothing else we do on this server ever works

  7. Issued by the Ivory Crown of Caurost 11th of The Deep Cold, 202 S.A. To our citizenry and esteemed allies, Though we stand steadfast and unfazed by our successes in this long-lasting war, the stains upon our blades linger and our warriors ache with the fatigue of recovery. As such, the Princedom of Cauróst wishes to serve as host to a day of respite and festivities - to rest and honor our soldiers through a celebration we’ve dubbed “MAL-O-WEEN.” Mal-O-Ween marks a prosperous age in which we have struck at the darkness within the lands of our enemies, shielded by the deceiving states they’ve pledged themselves to. It is through the vanquishing of the dark that we don garb reminiscent of the foes we’ve slain. Not in reverence or admiration, but mockery and jest, for it is a symbol of our victory and the control we wield over those who oppose us that the terror they once inspired is stripped from them. What to Expect Attendees are expected to don festive attire and costumes reminiscent of the dark creatures and other foes of the Eastern Crusade, such as Werewolves, Ghouls, Phantoms, Halflings, Demons, et cetera. *Disclaimer: Highly realistic costumes may be subject to extra scrutiny, observation, or execution by the state. The Princedom of Cauróst assumes no liability for any harm, injury, or loss of life resulting from such actions. Games and events shall be hosted, including a scavenger hunt and costume contest, each of which costs a participation fee of 10 minas and prize pool ranging from 50 to 300 minas. Masks, beverages, desserts, and snacks will be provided. Vendors & Entertainment Those who wish to host vendors or provide festival entertainment such as music, performances, or acting are to contact Councillor Veluc, Councillor Avagis, or High Prince Galahad at the earliest notice. Formally invited Are: His Holiness, High Pontiff Ro’eh Tzon, @Fleeperpriest Rexkhan Daahd’Lur and the people of Lurak, @Sean_VEVO Tar-Caraneth Aryantë and the people of Numendil, @Nooblius@AstriaS Konan-Thegn and the people of Solgaard, @M1919 Queen Adalia I and the people of the Petra, @mothsthetic Margrave Yohan and the people of Beleth, @Sean_VEVO High Keeper Ellenore and the people of Norland, @_Elrith_ Shugo Atsuko and the people of Koyo-Kuni, @milksoda Tiberius Van Aert and the people of Grense, @Tide1 Date & Location Sunday, October 20th at 6pm EST at Caurost Caurost is closest to the Khanate-Silasia-Dunfarthing warp at [1860, 1050].
  8. I think there's just a fundamental flaw with how tells/weaknesses are roleplayed. darkspawn tells- while they're tangible and persisting in RP- are often selectively emoted, meaning they arent a reliable form of darkspawn discovery unless you rely on methods that force a physical reaction (such as aurum/salt testing). pile that on top of the plethora of disguises and respawn mechanics people have access to and I find it difficult to agree with a corcitura buff. if you get discovered the worst that happens is you die, and then have the option to immediately respawn like nothing happened. so why are we so desperate to elude the chance of discovery OOCly at the very least just make salt require an RP item player signature because people really like to just pull bags of salt out of their ass. it's a creature weakness, idk why this isn't something that requires some form of bare minimum restriction
  9. legend has it mickaelhz has been my permanent minecraft enemy since 2018 and has slain me countless times on the opposing side of conflict. however, I remember so little of this actually happening that we can conclude that he hasn't actually done anything malicious to me OOCly despite being a forever foe

  11. To Galahad, there are a great many things to be surprised by. While the literacy of a renowned orcish war leader is not one of them, the willingness of the Lurinite sovereign to act so brazenly, despite having been captured and maimed by his enemies once before and see little– if any‐ triumph after that, utterly bewilders him. He's yet to discern if it's delusion or something to be commended, for Lurin is one of the few realms willing to brandish their blades against the crusaders.

  16. "There's a great deal to be studied on the nature of the backstabbing Silasians and their treacherous Eastern ilk like them." Prince Galahad sardonically remarks.
  17. imo u guys need to lighten up and let ppl engage in banter. toxicity is one thing but people get warnings over non-issues and it's so tiring and unfun sometimes
