  1. Dedicated to St. Arpad of Vilacz, our patron and protector “Do not let your heart falter, my kin, for we have already experienced the throes of death. Yet, from the ashes of our demise, we have emerged as Angels of Death, unseen and undetected in the darkness.” - Ser John Reyne ☠︎ Amidst the tumultuous landscape of the modern era, there exists an order of knights that stands apart from the rest - the Order of the Black Bear. Unlike many of their brethren, this fellowship of warriors did not arise from a shared devotion to a divine being for the Bears (although some of its members still cling steadfastly to the Almighty Lord), but rather from a deep-seated love for a singular ideal - the unwavering supremacy of the Prince's rule. Within the ranks of the Order of the Black Bear, the ethos of nationalism reigns supreme. Every knight in the order pledges an unbreakable oath to the Crown of Adria, vowing to devote their very lives to the defense of his realm and the preservation of his power. It is a solemn commitment, one that requires not only courage and strength, but also a profound sense of loyalty to the Prince and his vision for the realm. In the eyes of the knights of the Black Bear, the rule of the Prince is an absolute truth, a cornerstone upon which the very fabric of the realm rests. They see it as their sacred duty to ensure that this truth endures, to fight against any who would challenge it, and to uphold the will of the Crown of Adria in all things. It is a noble cause, one that demands great sacrifice and unwavering dedication, and the knights of the Black Bear are prepared to meet the challenge with honor and valor. The Order of the Black Bear has not one but two crucial roles to play in the affairs of the realm. On the one hand, they serve as tireless agents, delving deep into the dark underbelly of the realm to root out and eradicate any and all villainous enemies of the State. Whether it be traitors, spies, or dangerous outlaws, the knights of the Black Bear are unrelenting in their pursuit of justice and the protection of the realm's citizens. But that is not all. For those who have proven themselves to be the bravest and most dedicated of knights, a higher calling awaits. They are chosen to join the ranks of the Bear Brigade, a select group of knights whose sole mission is to protect the Crown of Adria, to stand as his shield against any and all threats that may seek to harm him or his realm. It is a noble and prestigious position, one that demands the utmost in loyalty, skill, and valor. For the regular knights of the Black Bear, the path to Bear Knight is a long and arduous one, marked by many great feats of bravery and daring. Only the most elite and accomplished of knights are deemed worthy of this great honor, and when they are, they stand ready to serve as the Crown of Adria's own kingsguard, sworn to protect him with their very lives ☠︎ ☠︎ Ser Lorenz Gavaudin, FA 1922. The creation of this oath was the work of Lorenz Gavaudin collecting everything required of a Bear. Never officially named, though colloquially called ‘the Bear’s Triumph”, Lorenz’s aim, influenced by Dame Éowyn Nullivari-Ibarellan, for the oath was to ensure that loyalty to the realm was never in question and that the order remained steadfast in its duty to protect Crown of Adria and the Duma of Adria. [The Bear’s Triumph] I pledge my sword, my life, and my loyalty to the Crown of Adria and the Duma. I swear to uphold the unbreakable authority of the Prince's rule, to seek out and destroy any and all enemies of the Duma, and to protect the interests of the realm and its people. I shall be an instrument of justice, a protector of the weak and the oppressed, and a ruthless defender of the realm. I shall pursue my duties with unwavering commitment and a firm hand, never shying away from the hard decisions or the harsh actions that may be necessary to ensure the survival of the Duma. I shall hold myself to the highest standards of loyalty and discipline, treating all with respect and caution, even those who may pose a threat to the realm. I shall never betray the trust of my superiors or the interests of the Duma, and I shall face any and all challenges with unwavering courage and unbreakable resolve. I shall strive always to be worthy of the title of knight, to embody the virtues of obedience, loyalty, and strength, and to inspire others by my example. And in all things, I shall serve the Crown of Adria and the Duma with unwavering dedication, even if it means sacrificing my own life or ideals for the greater good. So I swear, by my sword, my loyalty, and my unwavering commitment to the Duma, to be a true and faithful knight of the Order of the Black Bear. May our enemies tremble before us, and may the Duma endure forevermore. ☠︎ ☠︎ ‘ ‘A Gallant Ride’ drawn by Ser Justinian Basrid, Count of Susa In addition to a knightly oath, there was also a code that was made by Ser Justinian Basrid appropriately called, the Code of Justinian. The Code of Justinian is a powerful symbol of the order's unwavering dedication, and it bound each member to their duty as knights and agents of the state. For the Order of the Black Bear, there was no greater honor than to serve Adria and its rulers, and they would stop at nothing to defend it against any and all threats. [An excerpt of the Code of Justinian] To always serve and protect the State, even at the cost of personal comfort or morality. To put loyalty to the Crown of Adria and Duma above personal interests and ambitions. To exhibit strength, courage, and cunning in the pursuit of the State's enemies. To avoid using deceit or underhanded methods, but to be willing to do what is necessary to achieve the State's goals. To show mercy and compassion when possible, but to be willing to make difficult decisions and sacrifices for the greater good. To defend the weak and vulnerable, but to not let sentimentality interfere with the mission. To always act with honor and integrity, even in the face of adversity or temptation. To give generously to the State and its people, but to also ensure personal wealth and power. To strive for excellence in all things, including combat, diplomacy, and governance. To constantly seek self-improvement and education, in order to better serve the State and its people. ☠︎ ☠︎ “FOR THE DUKE, MY SWORD. FOR THE DUMA, MY HEART. 2. duke john ii has more land / support than the gordian i and gordian ii. how soon can we expect a revival of the empire knowing these historical facts?

sorry, but actually pescennius niger isnt a real emperor. the gordians are. the senate (everyone considered them puppets btw) are actually the real authorities to decide these things.

  3. as mentioned above llir, I think it's not a browser issue but a google doc issue. They used to embed images automatically instead of uploading them to the website. Is there a way to making embeding easier or just letting us post google docs directly to the forums?
  4. Wow read your dragon lore today. How do you get chatgpt to write so well? What prompt do you use?

  5. yo llir,

i've been trying to ctrl + c on my google doc and then ctrl + v on my forum thread using firefox. it's not pasting my pictures properly like it used to. from my knowledge, it was embedding them but not it is posting it directly to the website which is blocking most of them because they're over the kb limit.

was this feature removed today? and if so, can it be readded?

Also, can there maybe be a feature added where we can just post google docs directly to the forums and have them being able to be scrolled?

Not sure if I should make a ticket about this or where to send since it's forum related, but thanks man

someone explained to me before that all these little breaks are caused by invision automatically updating and leaving plugins more and more out-of-date. never seems to happen the other way around though, where a plugin is finally updated and all the bugs are fixed at least temporarily.

  7. Very cute in every sense of the word. I enjoy the aesthetic you were going for and I couldn’t really find anything wrong. I really do enjoy the fact you have fallen deities too—- having an eldritch horror as a fallen deity is really neat. Only thing that I may recommend is that you can always just act like these gods are the spirits themselves. gods on lotc don’t really care what you call them as long as they get worship as power of thought increases their power (plus spirits especially need prayers in their spiritual wars). Or you could always have it that these spirits psyoped the religion like Malleus in the Red Faith. Let’s you acknowledge the faith having a “real” god even if it isn’t what god they wanted. Either way, not to detract, I like this piece a lot and I hope it spreads! Canonism being the dominant religion is a bore and having some other faiths run around would be great
  8. fr fr no cap or fr fr on god?
  9. No.

    This is somewhere to be.

    This is all you have,

    but it's still something.

    Streets and sodium lights.

    The sky,

    the world.

    You're still alive.

  11. 教皇聖ルシアン神の人 Saint Lucien ‘the Man of Kamisama' Written by and Icon made by Kato Eren かと レン In honor of Yuuna Kim キムユウナ While most know of Saint Lucien as a High Pontiff, seldom do most know of the true history regarding the saintly figure. While not translated into the common tongue, the ‘Lucien’s Rise’ in Oyashi, shows some events at the beginning of Lucien’s life and to the modern day that I wish to share. The conversion of Saint Lucien was one of the pinnacle in his history. Saint Lucien was born as Velwyn Ashford, being a sun worshiper from the penal colony of Ulmsbottom off of the Duchy of Gwynon. But when he came to the west, he found a priest of the True Faith that spoke to him about the repentance that no Sun can offer, but only the creator of the Sun. In that service, the saint was so moved he vowed to never sin again and was baptized directly in the fountain. A miracle was performed just by that baptism alone. While the doves coming down from the Seven Skies could be a part of it, the truth is that Velwyn had drank from the fountain - receiving eternal life. The greater portion of his life is known to the West, having served as High Pontiff and then left during the Exodus with Emperor Horen ‘the Black’, he took up a high priestly role once more. Serving in the establishment of the Aeldinic Empire, converting his home province of Gwynon and establishing Ulmsbottom as an Owynist monastery. For the next hundreds of years, he served the Aeldinic Empire, being a personal missionary to the pagan nations that house Aeldin, specifically those in Ai-Zho. Lucien’s Rise does not necessarily describe his engagements with nations like cursed Cathant or the others, it does speak about the establishment of an creatorist parish on the isle of Edn. Having performed miracles there, the locals venerated him as a servant of a being higher than the kami. The Kamisama. Thus his title, Man of Kamisama was formed. Today, the living saint is either on expedition or serving faithfully in the capital of Novos Horos. But today, I honor him with a depiction of him as he first stepped foot onto Aeldinic soil. Holding a fragmented Lectitions of Owyn and proclaiming the glory of Prophet Godfrey's Empire. すべてのものを造られた主なる神よ、罪人である私をあわれんでください -セント。ルシアンの祈り “O Lord God, maker of all, have mercy on me, a sinner.” -St. Lucien Prayer

  13. Justinian sighed, getting asked to partake in democracy once again. The thing he hated the most. Such is the irony for authoritarians.
  14. Justinian head towards the Tetsugawa to meet with the Daimyo of the Iron River.... He thought he saw in a vision his head being chopped off by the Oyashi, which did not ease his feelings.
  15. "Is this a ---" Kato Eren remarked, being taken promptly off stage by Kim and scolded for interrupting the performance of Harry. He sighed, going back behind his walled room. Sulking.
  16. Justinian Basrid sends a brief letter congregating the new Chieftain on his ascension as well as a brief discussion on the history of Aesterwald, well, more specifically it's religious climate. "It is my belief, that while there may be some doubts on the religious orthodoxy of the Kingdom, there is nothing denying[...]" The letter went on for pages.
  17. Where now the horse and the rider? Where is the horn that was blowing?
Where is the helm and the hauberk, and the bright hair flowing?
Where is the hand on the harpstring, and the red fire glowing?
Where is the spring and the harvest and the tall corn growing?
    They have passed like rain on the mountain, like a wind in the meadow;
The days have gone down in the West behind the hills into shadow.
Who shall gather the smoke of the dead wood burning,
Or behold the flowing years from the Sea returning?

  18. I love you man and Anton and I appreciate you. You're my g dude and I will always love you.

  19. 預言者オーウィン 彼の刃の光 Prophet Owyn 'the Light of His Blade' Written by and Icon made by Kato Eren かと レン In honor of Uncle Danzen 愛してる As a creatorist within the lands of Oyashima, it was quite clear to me from the moment I was born that the greatest patron of my faith was the Prophet Owyn. The purifier, the light of his blade, the Plague of the Wicked, and King of Aaun and Idunia. He was known as a warrior throughout his life, but one thing that is often forgotten about the good Prophet is his melancholic and reflective nature. The Prophet was nearing the end of his life when he raged through heathen and undead lands in search of his uncle, King St. Joren, whom he missed. Despite his righteous rage at the enemy, he was constantly thinking about holy things and his love for his family. Eventually, he could not find his uncle and ended up heading to Edel to purge the city. He passed away in a flame after exhausting himself by purifying the city of undead. This is the flame that represents the Owynist cause to this day (a raging fire depicted within his shield for purposes of this icon). A reminder to us that the fire we use to purge is one not of anger, but of righteous rage. Thus I depict the Prophet Owyn, with spear, shield, and sword in hand, but reflecting on the things of God. 預言者オーウィンよ、私たちの不義を清め、私たちを脅かす敵に対して執り成しをしてください。 Prophet Owyn, cleanse us of our iniquity and intercede against the Enemy that threatens us.
