The noble families of Draco and the not-so noble family of Walden have come together to announce the matrilineal union between Lady Aviana von Draco and Gregory ‘Wings’ Walden. This sacred and joyous occasion will be held in the Church within the city of Mardale. All people of Almaris are invited to attend. A Bird in Flight Following the untimely passing of both fiance and father, Aviana von Draco had found herself in a period of intense mourning. Family and friends alike had assured her that she would recover in due time, though they were wrong. While time may mend a broken heart, it is no cure for a lack of purpose. While she dearly grieved her late fiance, she knew that it was not yet her time to settle down and take on a domestic lifestyle. After all, there was still learning to be had, adventures to be experienced. So, she packed her essentials. After dutifully saying her goodbyes to her loved ones, she set off, her magnificent steed galloping through the gatehouse of Karosgrad. Off she went, soaring towards a new chapter in her life. No longer a simple nestling, she was now a bird in flight.

The widow of the great Lord Argus wept for the man she had dedicated herself to for four long decades. All that time, and she never knew. She never would know that the man she loved with all her heart had betrayed her. Betrayed her for a girl younger, prettier, no doubt. A girl who was not worn with age and battle scars from the wars she had fought with Argus; for Argus. All she could do now was lament the loss of her husband. The man she had given seven children. The man who brought out her true potential. The man she would never see again.
