The Laurir’ker

Fellow brothers and sisters of the honored race Mali’ker, we are at the brisk of degeneracy, for too long we’ve squandered our time and potential in the holes that we call our homes and livelihoods, for too long we have emulated the Mori’quessier, the slavers and cannibals of the deep. We are not them, and they not us we are the Mali’ker, leave their cruel and insidious memories and traditions in the past, step forward into the light and future that is the Laurir’ker

The Virtues of the Condor.

We, The Laurir’ker find the following virtues to be honorable and worthy of practice. All who would stand beside us should seek to embody them.

Respect
Hold your fellow Ker in the same regard you would wish to be held, and your ancestors in higher regard than they. To respect one another is to strengthen our bond so that we might be impregnable and honor our progenitors.

Intelligence
Hold learning in high regard so that your mind might be as sharp as the blades at our sides. To study and learn are evidence of a will to succeed. To keep your mind as prepared as your body is to strengthen our resources, so that we might never be ill-prepared.

Modesty
Modesty is absolute for a Laurir’ker, to serve as proud descendants to our forefathers you must not allow yourself to be ill-covered and accosted by lustful eyes, to do so is a shame upon your ancestors and yourself. To hold humility in high regard is to free ourselves from distraction, so that we might be ever vigilant.

Restraint
Restraint and discipline are imperative in the life of a Laurir’ker, to allow yourself to be ruled by petty emotions is to demonize yourself, and your forefathers in the process. Fall not to sorrow, anger or greed. To show restraint is to keep your mind clear, so that we might be ready to solve any tribulation.

Patience
Patience and care are required for the good of a Laurir’ker, impatience and rash action lead to poor decisions, to act without forethought is to be savage, and make your ancestors out to be the same. To show patience is to be wise, so that we might never be outsmarted.

Loyalty
Loyalty is one of the most important virtues of a Laurir’ker, to betray the trust of another is to dishonor yourself and are no better than thieves and rogues, and in the process dishonor your ancestors. We are worth nothing if our word is meaningless. To be loyal is to be trustworthy, so that we might always be able to rely on one another.

Courage
Courage is what separates us from thieves and liars. We earn what we take through our might and it becomes rightfully ours. To turn tail and flee at the first sign of conflict is to bring disgrace upon yourself, and upon your progenitors. To be courageous is to be strong, so that we might always stand resolute.

"Ancestors will"

"To forge a true society, it would be efficient if he had spoke to our kin who already battle against the writhe of chaos that holds the barbarians before taking strives on his own. Places where these laws to fend of the degeneracy the Mori'quessir have instilled within the barbarians has already been placed."

"It's like he does not know of our ban on Mori'quessirian customs and the false traditions of barbairans" Mizz would say in comment to Dak'ir

"Now we have two identical forces that seeks to split the true sons and daughters of Onyx. We'd do well to contact this man, my lord, so we may operate for the betterment of our kin as a whole. So we may undo the damaged the Mori'quessir and the barbarians have inflicted on the strength of our people collectively"

*a note is left pinned upon several of the postings of the laws*

"Truly you are just a new Silver Law with darker skinned enforcers.

Your 'Law of Modesty' is laughable and misguided. I have dyed my hair orange since my childhood in honor of my deceased father and I shall continue to do so. My daughter dyes a strand of her hair blue in honor of her fallen father, who favored blue hair.  Hunt us if you will, I will lay waste to all you misguided fools.  You clearly do not understand that some people do this as a show of reverence and honor to their ancestors or loved ones.

Your 'Law of Worth' is robbery in no other terms. 'Give us tribute or we shall punish you' is exactly what that says. You are thieves and bandits, nothing more.

Your 'Law of Cremation' is insulting.  My father wished to be buried in the deserts he loved so much. To make a law that would forbid following the will of your loved ones is insulting and disrespectful, you should be ashamed of yourselves.

Your 'Law of Marriage' is laughable.  I have had a husband and two wives, and I am currently with a partner though unmarried, likely to be in the near future.  Love does not abide by laws, and to threaten death for such trivialities shows you are exactly like the Mali'Aheral your people fought so hard to be rid of, and you deserve the same treatment they have received.

Your 'Law of Peace' was fine up until 'death upon a stake' as you have shown once again you are no better than barbarians in the guise of nobility, like the Aheral slitting children's throats they deemed impure.

Your 'Law of Decency' should rightly punish you for all your death sentences you are handing out for such petty things. But of course you will not do this and only bend this law to execute those who oppose you.

This is the Silver Law all over again under the guise of a new race!  In light of this, I open the gates of Greyhaven to all Mali'ker who oppose this ridiculous new Silver Law in disguise and do not wish to live as slaves under new barbaric masters after finally ridding themselves of the 'Aheral silver law.  I offer housing and safety to you all, we do not live upon Elven lands, their laws have no authority here and if they try to hunt you here, they shall bring war upon themselves from the Dwarves who protect and value our mostly Mali settlement.  We are ruled by Mali'ker, you are among kin here, and do not need to live oppressed or in fear, but in freedom and happiness.

I urge you all to denounce these new 'Aheral in 'Ker clothing, and should they seek to come for me, I welcome their attempts.

I am Menarra Darkblade, Lady of Greyhaven, and I stand against this new Silver Law."

Mizziyrn looks towards the notice, curious

"Let us hope these mali'ker who offer refuge venerate their ancestors. It would be a shame if they turned out to worship the pagan moon goddess, and misguided so many down a path laddened with blood.."

Mizziyrn's eyes fall on the bit about not cremating the corpse, he knows few dark elves with any pride who would not do this, except maybe a few druids. Strange to hear of a dark elven tradition that involves burying a corpse, Mizziyrn will need to look into this to sedate his curiosity

Yimatu underlines a small bit of the notice with his quill, scribbling in a small message in return.

"I urge you all to denounce these new 'aheral in 'ker clothing, and should they seek to come for me I will welcome their attempts"

"Just have your city and practice your heresies, but do not claim to be the face of the Mali'ker in the coming age. We are inviting others and sparing any whom would abandon the caverns. Simply stay out of our business and we do not care."
