Merry Skah'ing Christmas!
Its a time of year for joy and peace best spent with those you love. But worldwide (yeah we're talking IRL, what of it?) there's been some pretty serious happenings recently that should remind us of all the privileges we have. So while we are looking forward to seeing you logging in over the holidays and having a great time on the server, don't forget to invest in your family and friends. Even if they're not the most awesome people to spend time with, they're there for you. And eat some damn delicious food while you're at it.


 

 

Head Admin Viper3X Leaves
After a highly effective return from hiatus, the Admin Viper3X has chosen to resign from the position. It goes without question that there is a great sadness to see him go. But in parting he did provide a brief statement.

"Between work and college, LotC just isn't that stress reliever anymore. In fact, it was starting to become the opposite. So I have decided to move on from LotC (for the time being) because I currently do not feel like I am having fun leading LotC anymore, and I feel it would be best for someone else to take my place. I wish the best for LotC and hope our (now much smaller) admin team keeps on working hard to keep us at the top. Hit me up on Battle.net if you're playing Warlords of Draenor and want to stay in touch."

 

 

 

Too Villainous For Villainy
Two letters that receive a mixed response amongst the community are V and A. That is to say Villain Application. Once upon a time a player would have to make a wordy application divulging all their secret dark intents before they were permitted to commit villainous acts. Currently there is no such application required and all players can be as evil as they do so desire. However the purpose of a moderated group of players committing evil deeds that are mutually enjoyable still remains.

AND THUS is introduced the Villain Blacklist. All players can be as evil as they like unless their acts are particularly un-fun for others. If you overstep the boundaries, rather than being banned for committing (potentially) rule breaking villainy, a player will be denied the right to commit heinous crimes in future.





 

 

Forget Naughty Or Nice, Gifts Are Going For All

Whether you're celebrating Krugzmas, Winter Solstice, Knoxmas, or the first anniversary of The Cappening, there's a gift for everyone. Jolly Old Zaint Glugolas has vowed to bring toys for everyone, so even if you haven't been a good boy or girl, put in your request to receive a gift in RP.

Tech Team News

As for the tech team, thing's are moving pretty much as usual. Recently added were some crafting changes, our major Claimable Regions update by Sporadic and yours truly, as well as chairs, which are super buggy but will be fixed very soon. The magic plugin is our top priority, but I wont say more. And Tythus is working out kinks with the Teamspeak. Our current priority list is:

> Magic,
> Brewing,
> VIP Plots.
Coders have been made an unoffical staff position, so that's pretty much no change except for the lack of fancy titles. Anyways, expecting (something?!) soon. Merry Christmas from the coder slaves!

 

 

 

ET Leaking Map Expansion

This month for the Event team has been a rather busy one, with a lot planned to come we have made some additions and are still looking to add more builders to the team. The newest additions, some old event team and new, have been hard at work trying to provide fun events, these new additions are:

> Burkester
> Tantaparo
> Ski_King
> Slic3man
> Galandar
But we're not done yet! As said before the event team are searching for builders, so if you think you are a good builder go ahead and give the application a try.
We've got some big plans for the future and hope to bring more memorable and enjoyable events for the server to take part in.
As a special treat, we've got a few "expansions" to Athera that are expected to bring some very enjoyable roleplay. Check out the sneak peak images.

Plus a teensy bit more is leaking out of the faucet. Someone should really call a plumber.

 

 

A New Year, A New Media Crew

There is sadness as more team members leave. DK and Zilldude have moved on to another place known as "real life" and their contributions and character will be missed. However, we power into the new year with the addition of:

> Animator ItsKalas,
> Graphics Reggie01,
> Cinematographer Spellchekk, and
> sheep CaptainSheepy.
First on the agenda for the new team is to actually finish things we started! So projects that have been "in the works" for a long time are actually going to be pushed out. We have a hand in the pie of the wiki overhaul. And we're also planning the new server trailer similar to a particularly well viewed Aegis one. Too early to call an expected delivery date on it because we want to make sure it is going to be great before we even start filming.

I believe its more about making new event areas to explore that have some specific storylines in mind. When it comes to trying to plan new areas in secret, it isn't very easy to do that on the existing map.
