With a passion for justice of the common man and the defense of his people and lands, Count William III of Horen seeks to recruit bright and able men and women to help guard the lands of Furnestock, and all of the Horen Dynasty, and the vassals of Horen, and if needed the lands of Oren. Lodging is provided, along with free supplies of the best quality, in addition to a sense of duty and friendship and adventure. Training and skillbuilding are part of the Horen Guard, and each man is expected to carry his own weight in his own duties, and the training for such is provided. Rank Captain The head of the Horen Guard. Distributes orders to the Troops, and brings reports to the Lord. He is responsible for distribution of supplies, promotion, and discipline. He can make and dissolve ranks within the Horen guard with approval of the Steward or the Lord. Man-at-Arms The common footsoldier of the Horen Levy, they are the backbone and protectors of the Levy. They answer to appointed squad members in battles, and the Captain above that. Rarely do they receive direct orders from the Steward of the Lord. Recruit Unseasoned soldiers in the Levy, they are those untested or still training. Often these are young men just into their adult years of 15 to 16 years old with little experience outside what they learned on their own, be it farming, hunting, or otherwise.
