The enemy is vile. The enemy is the deranged and irrational...

...The enemy is conquerable. To win the war within the mind is to instill resolve within allies and dread within the enemy...

...The enemy is insidious. To lose the war within the mind is to be defeated by the enemy...

The Code of the Elberu'cinhir, formed and tested immediately in the fires of the Bloc Wars. Assembled to defend the new beacon of the mali'ame under the city of Tahn'siol and the state of the mali'aheral - Haelun'or. The predominate force, despite however small, of the Elves during the Fringe. Wood Elves fought side by side together, Dark Elves joined the ranks as guest swords - a bond in battle that would not easily be forgotten. Founded and commanded by Asthil Haumel until command was handed over to a determined soldier named Phaedrus.

Under the command of Phaedrus the ranks steadily grew, regarded as the most efficient chapter of the Elven military, a reputation was quickly gained. They were not numerous, but they did their jobs. Phaedrus himself was recognized for saving the mali'aheral Sohaer, Kalenz Uradir, twice from would be assassination. The Elberu'cinhir were stern, strict, perhaps even cruel.

Eventually peace was achieved in time for the final migration to Athera, however it did not come without its complications. It had been ten years now and the Elberu'cinhir resumed being the most prominent chapter of Elven military prowess in a short amount of time. The ranks grew larger than they had ever been, consistently tending to marauders and criminals in and outside of the capital now known as Annil'sul.

Despite this service however to the state, the mali'ame had achieved no progress in being further acknowledged, at least not beneficially. Phaedrus would need to debate with High Elves against the notion of killing his own soldiers in a pit of acid. He himself was called into investigation because he was apparently too efficient for a Wood Elf. The mali'aheral suspected him of being mali'aheral in disguise, himself. The consistent mistreatment of both his own men and the Dark Elves' was becoming too much to tolerate.

Many were arrested and a few were even injured or killed as the Elberu'cinhir slowly came to stand up for themselves against the abusive mali'aheral. Phaedrus eventually became untouchable, killing individual mali'aheral for their actions without even having it mentioned to him the next day. In likelihood it was due to the lethargy of the established government rather than his rank, renown or anything else. Tensions rekindled and soon the government was in a time of change as nominations and elections were held.

As this was going on Phaedrus and his men continued their duties, reaching out to nation of the Orcs, the Uzg, during their hour of need as well due to events related more to the supernatural than the state. While their assistance was truthfully not all too significant, the Elberu'cinhir were acknowledged by the Uzg, in the form of a blood oath between their own leader and the Uzg's. Phaedrus and Rex Reksam'Kog were now blood brothers. On top of this, a Wood Elven family prominent in Aesterwald - the Volarens, resurfaced to meet with Phaedrus. Their assistance with bandits harassing Haelun'or was acknowledged by Phaedrus in turn, and eventually bonds with the Uzg and Aesterwald were established.

While these events were unfolding Phaedrus made a bid to run for the position of Sohaer, only to be denied because he was in fact not a pure High Elf. Consideration for the investigation placed upon him to determine if he was one in disguise, was ignored. It was after the elections were concluded, with a man called Iatrilemar seated as Sohaer, that Phaedrus began to receive pressuring from his allies to seize power for himself. Phaedrus, for the time being, declined.

Important things to note during the elections and the short reign of Iatrilemar:

-Mali'aheral crime rates spiked dramatically within the city. Most peculiar of all was it was mali'aheral to mali'aheral crimes that were most predominant. The mali'aheral butchered each other within districts not even designated to them, they ran rampant throughout the city - murders or assaults were most commonplace.

-The Sillumir, the High Elven military chapter, was entirely dissolved with only a few High Elves insisting to remain.

-The traditionally inherited rank of Maheral was changed to a designated rank by Iatrilemar. Kalenz did not succeed Lucion Sullas, rather, Lucion Sullas was placed back into position as Maheral.

-Sohaer Iatrilemar confided in Phaedrus that he suspected he was to be assassinated. Phaedrus successfully killed a would be assassin by the name of Camernor within Fiandra, where he confessed to the murder of the Okarir'mali, by order of another mali'aheral politician, accomplices were suspected.

-Sohaer Iatrilemar was discovered within the laboratories of Tahn'siol, trapped within a mysteriously impervious crystal that sought to spread and expand itself over time. Under the impression that the Sohaer had been assassinated - since for a non-magical practicing Wood Elf it seemed illogical that he would survive without any sign of oxygen, food or water - Phaedrus decided to take matters into his own hands and declare martial law, enforced by his chapter of military, the Elberu'cinhir.

Once Phaedrus had declared martial law, the previous Sohaer, Kalenz, assumed the role of Maheral and designated his own Sohaer without an election, Kalameet, after submitting a vote in the official nomination for Andria.

In a surprising twist, the Uzg, Aesterwald, and even the Snow Elves actively backed Phaedrus' declaration of marshal law and assumption of the role of militaristic head of state. Using the support of the allies Phaedrus now intends to work alongside members of a previous conspiracy he was part of in order to reform the governmental structure and laws of the state they've defended and supported for over a decade.

Mali'aheral resistance and discord is at an all time high and the remainder of those left within the city prepare for 'war', to defend themselves from those who rose up and assumed power forcefully. Phaedrus no longer considers himself a benefactor for mali'aheral interests and now actively seeks to eliminate them all, and the influence of the Silver Law itself.

((This is honestly a summary, if you want more in depth stuff I can expand upon it.))

BrandNewKitten however has stood by requiring a warclaim.

Manpower:

Elberu'cinhir and allies if it suits them.

All mali'aheral of Haelun'or and allies, if they have any

Location and Boundaries:

The Silver District of Tahn'siol, located within Annil'sul

Terms:

Victory is declared once one side submits or is utterly decimated.

Rewards:

If attacker wins:

Nation leadership will be officially transferred to Phaedrus Lle'hileia and the previous structure of government and concept of the Silver Law will be declared null, powerless and heresy - since it advocates and justifies the slaughter of one's own kin.

All remaining mali'aheral will forcefully have their foreheads tattooed with a tear drop, in gold ink, to mark themselves as previous mali'aheral of the Silver Law. They will then be banished. This won't be negotiable, if you participate in the battle, your character will have to RP this.

All LWC locks in the silver district are to be set to /cpublic for doors and chests, allies - should they even come, will be free to pillage as they see fit.

If defender wins:

They will retain power and ownership of Annil'sul and are open to declaring any terms of victory they see fit before the battle's date comes around. They may not alter terms after the result.

Meticulously sharpening each and every individual arrowhead in his quiver, there was no anticipation or desire for revenge evident in his blank expression. But behind his thinly veiled guise of emotionlessness there was a wood elf who had been hurt, one who would shed high elf blood for justice, and enjoy seeing the people who'd made his life so hard for an elven year die.

Isabella's expression wrote sadness as she held open the door to the inn's bar and family rooms, allowing a high elven woman she'd barely met to step past her.

"As long a you need," the mixed-blooded elf muttered, a part of her that she was trying to hide morbidly glad at the turning of the tables. Somehow, even that couldn't stop a heart of gold.

Raide of Ashford catches word of the coming conflicts. As a result, a great sense of discomfort wells up within him. He mutters a short prayer under his breath. Thereafter, in attempt to achieve a calm mind, Raide speaks to himself.

"I do not know whether the Silver Oppressors goaded this violence with their own mind, or if the omnipresent machinations of the Brimstone Demon had brought this about. Either way, I see the Ivory Ones as the offenders. For.. now."

With grip fidgeting around the hilt of his sheathed arming sword, Raide vowed to aid whatever side that aligned with the light. To ponder upon this decision he retreats to Petrus' chapel in search of solace.

((The only problem with this is the doors then need to be modreq'd to be unlocked. If they are just doors you can have a VIP put a lock on them))

Kaelin sighs.

"Force, it seems, is necessary. Malin forgive us for what we must do to finally purge ourselves of the taint of kinslayers and child killers."

He restrings his bow and takes a few practice swings of his shortsword.

"Malin ito Narne."

"So you are going to fight those which have committed genocide against thee with genocide. Truly this is justice and equality." Mikael shakes his head, tying back his hair and sharpening his halberd of fine steel. "I may be none to speak, so says he who murdered high elves in the name of revenge..." he spits towards Petra, who nervously nods and helps him put on his scale armor, "This is an abomination."

Mikael traces two lines of red pigment across his face. "But it must be done."
