Greco-Albanian Conflict

The war in Albania goes smoothly with very light resistance from the minor European islamic state. However, like the Macedonians, many would rather be apart of the thriving Hellenic Republic then continue to live under the weak, corrupt government of Albania. They also are under the interpretation that their religious rights will be respected when joining the nations.

Greek loses are still relatively low, but what they don't lose in men they will certainly lose in money. As the army marches into Albania, they realize the horrible reality of the failed state. Infrastructure. The buildings look as though they could topple over at any minute, and the roads are cratered as though it were a warzone. Except the invading army was simply mother nature and age. 

The hope of the Albanian people was that the Greeks could revive their infrastructure and make Albania a thriving part of their Hellenic Republic. Some civilians even reminisce about the great Byzantine Empire, and are incredibly excited to join the Republic. Such citizens would enlist in the Hellenic military relatively quickly.

Saudi Conscription

Efforts at conscription go relatively well, with 45,000 military aged males registering at recruiting stations to help deter the invading armies. However, almost all of these men have little to no experience in fighting. The Saudis do not exactly have the advantage of time on their side, so the choice has to be made to immediately deploy them or put them through a training program that could take time, and lead to more casualties on the front.

CSA Invasions

The Dominican Republic surrenders well aware that they simply cannot defeat the CSA. However, Costa Rica is willing to put up a small fight, and mobilizes what army it has to fight the Panamanians and CSA.

The Arab Federation

 

 

Flags across the Egypt, Algeria, and Libya were slowly lowered; in their place, the shining golden Eagle of Saladin is raised. The three leaders meet on live television, specially broadcast throughout the region.

"Great is He to grant us this day of joyous cooperation. Our world has been wrecked by war, but as long as we stand together, we shall see a glorious victory. Long live the Federation! Long live Islam! Long live ALLAH!"

The Arab Federation is proclaimed.

 

Immediately following the announcement, the wheels of reforms begin to turn. Shipyards and industrial centers begin construction, facilitating job growth in each newly joined nation. Fortifications begin to be built on the coast along with the positioning of anti air guns. Algerian and Libyan armies begin to mobilize and march east to join the on going war for Islamic supremacy.

The Israeli Front

 

The opposing armies simply stared at each other as they blew themselves to bits with explosives and shells, Federation forces moving mere inches each hour. The buzz of drones over head cause a momentary hesitation in the troop lines before the thunder of jets snap them from their daze. Countless drones explode into debrie as jets and bombers fly by. Though drones could bomb ground forces all the wanted, they couldn't out run air power.

 

An army of 50,000 arrive at the front, relieving some exhausted soldiers. Tanks and artillery, as well as mobile rocket systems soon follow. Barrages of shells and rockets resume with greater intensity, accompanied by further bombing runs. Anti air guns are positioned at the border. The well supplied Egyptians would eventually grind the Israelis into a fine dust, seeing as everything to their rear lay in ruins. It would simply take time for attrition to take them.

The Arabian Front

 

The roads were simply terrible in these parts, and the guerrillas didn't exactly make it any easier. Word that they were rigging their own infrastructure soon made its way to high command. Generals spat in disgust, countless civilians would soon starve because of their insolence. 100,000 soldiers, 2,000 tanks, and further artillery and mobile rocket systems arrive just west of Mecca, and quickly make their way east towards the city. Making use of the mostly untouched road systems, they link up with the southern expeditionary force and encircle Mecca. The foreign troops and remaining defenders that had holed up in the city would soon face a true hell as bombs and shells rained down like hot fire. The siege of Mecca would be a final victory in the Hejaz region.

 

Up north, the 70,000 northern army arrive in in Tabuk after run ins with several of the dispersed insurgents. The city is stormed and the Federation flag raised, before the army skirts its way around the Arabia-caliphate battle. After a brief march through Jordan, they finally arrive at their destination; the rear of the Israeli defensive line. The Israelis were flanked, and their defeat was inevitable. The ensuing battle would surely be one sided as the Israeli army is crushed between both Federation armies. With the Israeli defense wiped, the massive Federation armies quickly make their way north to take advantage of the sudden lack of threats. 

 

Saudi shipping is disrupted, the newly bolstered Federation navy capturing several with key cargo and sinking the rest. The fleet moves onto Israel's coast, and begins shelling.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia: A Quick Response

 

In a spur of the moment decision, King Mohammed sends approximately 30,000 units separated into three divisions to flank the Caliphate as they battle with Iran and Israel.

 

 

 

 

In addition, Saudi Arabia stations the 45,000 conscripts in the capital. The American reinforcements arrive in Riyadh and will oversee their training. Foreign involvement in the west is reduced by about 1,000 ground units.

Israel

The Egyptian Offensive catches the Israelis between a rock and a very hard place as their defensive line of almost 100,000 men finds itself surrounded and out gunned. They begin a tactical series of retreats and enact a policy of scorched earth as they fall back toward Jerusalem. While the 60,000 man army besieging Homs continues to fight, the remaining 75,000 men who had marched on Damascus are ordered to swing back around to grind the Egyptian advance to a halt.

At the same time, the 60,000 besieging Homs finally report a breakthrough as the city falls to the Israelis. They continue to march forward into the Caliphate towards Aleppo, but without the 75,000 men stalling them in Southern Syria, the 60,000 are vulnerable to an attack.



IRAN 
Iran advances into Iraq with very light resistance, their surprise attack going relatively well. They march with great religious fervor and are within striking distance of Baghdad. The 300,000 men spread out along the Eastern border, but the largest concentration is of course around Baghdad. 50,000 men lay siege to city, waiting for its inevitable surrender.

With the work of the National Labour Service largely finished with energy and infrastructure, the vast majority are directed East, to the Finnish border to Russia, with the exception of the Lithuanian and Latvian sectors, who remain in their countries. Once there, they begin work on a vast wall that spans the Finnish border to Russia, and another that encircles Latvia and Lithuania:

The wall is composed largely of concrete, but is highly reinforced with steel beams interwoven with rebar interwoven with a steel mesh, making it extremely resistant to damage from things such as artillery and explosives.

Along the wall's length are towers of the same structure, which are armed with gatling-type autocannons of similar pattern to the GAU-8 Avenger, as well as automated target-to-kill surface-to-air missiles mounted upon the tops of the towers. Behind this wall lies a secondary wall, composed of concrete, though only reinforced with rebar. This wall also has towers, though they are armed instead with GPMGs for anti-personnel purposes, and smooth-bore mortars on the roofs.

The only way to access towers on either wall are from behind the secondary wall. Access to the primary wall's towers is via bridges composed of the same material as the primary wall, and completely protects them from small-arms fire from below. The gap is filled with anti-vehicular mines, and a lesser scattering of anti-personnel mines in any areas where the secondary towers might not be able to reach as well. The only safe access through the wall is via large, rail mounted gates made of steel:

There are seven of these gates in total:

2 on the Finnish wall, one to Northern Karelia and the other to the Saint Petersburg Federal Subject.

5 on the Baltic Wall, one to Estonia at Valka, another to Kaliningrad, one to the Slavic Confederation, one to Belarus at Kraslava, and one to Russia proper at Baltinava.

The road between gates on either wall is flanked by walls of the same structure as the primary wall, that are armed to the teeth with both anti-armour and anti-personnel weaponry, making the road a killbox if need be. The gates themselves also have the towers of the same pattern as the rest of the wall at either side.

The wall itself is a kilometre or so from the borders, and would be manned by reservists living near the wall who would be called up when mobilisation is detected. Anyone living beyond the wall within BSC territory is given evacuation training.

An invite to the Baltic Confederation is sent Denmark, Iceland and Norway, which in the case of either Iceland or Norway accepting would be renamed to the Nordic-Baltic Confederation. The strong pressure from Germany on Denmark will hopefully be a further cause for their acceptance. All nations are pointed towards the wave of imperialism sweeping throughout Europe and indeed, the globe, with nations taking lands that have not been theirs ever or for centuries. Perhaps soon, their eyes will turn to them and their resources? ((MOD PLZ))

The Finnish commandos down in what is now Iberian land are pulled out and brought home.

The Swedish troops in SAUDI ARABIA are also evac'd, with a formal apology sent to the Saudis that they could not assist further, but the war presented a conflict of interest, and that the Saudis now had enough support to no longer require that of the Baltics.

A missive is sent to EGYPT, apologising for any tensions caused and seeking a return to neutrality between the two nations. They are asked to re-open the Suez to Baltic trade ships, and are offered a payment of $50 million.

The GREEK troops are accepted into Stockholm, and they do whatever I guess. The Greeks are offered a defensive alliance and trade agreement.

The CSA and NCR are both offered defensive alliances and trade agreements.

Trade agreements are re-sent to ALL ((PLAYERS)) NATIONS who don't already have one with the Baltic Sea Confederation.

Following the relatively easy takeover of Albania by the Greek troops, the δικτάτορας orders that the current fast-moving troops stand down and fortify their positions, settling in within the new territories. New army bases and supply depots are created, particularly within Albania in an attempt to encourage the repair of local infrastructure and generation of jobs. Macedonia is given a secondary position within the beginning of the infrastructural build-up and more focus is given onto generating a new administrative system for this territory.

 

Within Albania the δικτάτορας gives orders that a recruitment drive is to be brought, purple colours and Byzantine regalia used to inspire an ancient sense of martial pride informally, however the main flag of the Hellenic Republic takes precedence. Money just recently poured into the production of drones is strictly cut back and army troops are set to repairing roads and depots within Albania, large work teams of the unemployed formed to repair roads to enable fast movement around the city. Focus is given secondarily to the production of factories as Albania is designed to become a centre of industry for the nation.

 

 

The fleet is landed upon the Albanian coast and several returned to Thessalonica and Athens to be stationed, a gradual slow-down beginning in military operations. Other troops are moved towards the border with Bulgaria and Serbia, however in a lax fashion so as not to inspire fear. Macedonian and Albanian forces are given their own divisions to inspire a sense of comradeship however split between different Army Groups to help them integrate with Greek forces.

 

A declaration is made of tolerance towards the Islamic peoples located in Albania and a secondary invitation made to the peoples within Kosovo, inviting them to join with their brothers from Albania and Macedonia that have now joined the Hellenic Republic:

 

 

"-- To the people of the Republic of Kosovo, proudly independent of their intolerant Serbian brothers and an independent nation in their own right do the Hellenic Republic salute you. And we invite you to join us, as people of Greece, Macedonia, and Albania as a tolerant people with all beliefs accepted. Full autonomy is proffered and your cultural and independent rights observed within our nation, it is our distinct hope that you accept this and join with us in a great union."

 

Following a reshuffle of the main leading council surrounding Aegeus, a new more pro-Islam message is sent to all, with tolerance encouraged. Messages are sent to the nation of Turkey promoting friendship and encouraging good relationships between the two nations. Meanwhile the Iberian Union is presented with a message bearing gifts and the idea of a state visit to their nation arranged by one of the elderly Grecian princes that still hold some ceremonial importance.

 

Dissenters are inserted into the primary Kosovo cities, spreading pamphlets and pieces of propaganda promoting a return to Hellenic ideals and a join, the main message being one of ideological peace and tolerance along with a protection from expansionist Serbian ideas, a greater autonomy within a nation that is now more of a Confederation than a Republic.

The Union States of America

 

General Patterson curses at the movements of NCR. Not a curse of defeat or humiliation, but a curse of annoyance. This small Californian state was invading into Mexico and claimed that they were fighting for "liberty". They had no idea how the NCR would ever be able to accomplish trade with Europeans and any attempt of it would easily be thwarted. Any Greek or Iberian goods attempting to reach the NCR would have to go through the East where they would be seized by the Union. In the Pacific, the General asks all Asian nations to place a trade embargo on the NCR. Union Submarines and destroyers patrol Pacific Waters to seize and destroy outgoing merchant NCR ships. This would hopefully give the NCR no choice but to submit.

 

In the North, American forces mobilize on the Canadian border. Although they do not attempt anything, they stand there and muster more men. It looks as if they ready for an invasion. General Patterson accepts King Mohammed's friend request, and has no love for the Islamic Caliphate. A regiment of 10,000 Union troops are sent to join their Confederate brothers in Saudi Arabia and help fight the Caliphate. A trade request and ability to pass through the Suez Canal is also asked for.

 

Union ships docked in Seattle begin to leave for the Sea of Cortez, Mexico. There they would meet the NCR fleet and issue an ultimatum for their immediate surrender. If they do not, they will be engaged upon.

 

Trade with the United Kingdom is accepted. A defensive alliance is also offered.

 

General Patterson promises to the Indian President that the U.S will not take any aggressive positions against the Japanese unless provoked.

 

The Union also states that any nation attempting to ally with the NCR will be considered an enemy of the United States of America. The U.S conscripts more and more men - an additional 250,000 are nearly trained and armed. This is their last large group conscription until the Union is involved in a war. Budget Surplus goes to the Institute of Military Technologies and the stabilization of Alaska.

The people of Kosovo join Greece following their intense campaign and use of Byzantine propaganda, it also is an effort to undermine the Serbian state.

Norway joins the Baltic Confederation for fear of being swallowed up by any number of the Imperial powers around them. They see the Confederation as the best of any possible state.

With the Norwegians accepting the invite to the Confederacy, National Socialism is implemented. As before, any Muslims, Africans, Middle Easterners, and any ethnicity originating in countries owned by Russia are deported. The unemployed of Norway are placed into the Norwegian National Labour Service, and move east to expand the Great Wall project to the Norwegian-Russian border, with a gate being constructed on the Norwegian border to Murmansk.

In spite of Denmark and Iceland declining the offer, they are offered defensive alliances and asked for a treaty of mutual assistance to ensure their safety. ((MOD PLZ))

The Republic of Italia

 

 

With the Western lands secured and garrisoned against the chaotic powers of Europe, the President sets his eyes on the east. Across the sea sat three lands ripe for conquering. The corrupt governments of Croatia, Bosnia, and Slovenia wavered on the verge of economic collapse and many were in panic in fear of a Greco-Conquest. Using the new amount of troops and money gathered from the Iberian and French provinces, an invitation is extended to the three nations.
"Your governments are weakened, ripe for the conquest of our Greek allies to the South. Do you wish to fall with bloodshed? Join the Italian Republic and prosper to new heights." Unspoken, the countries would surely know the repercussions for denial. 

Troops are prepared on the Slovenian border and on the Eastern coast.

 

The President orders the invasion forces prepped to strike if the countries chose ill and decided not to join under the Eagle.

Iceland & Denmark - Both agree to the proposal set forth by the Nordic-Baltic Confederation as means of defending themselves.

Croatia, Bosnia, and Slovenia - They decline Italy outright, seeing them as too weak to effectively protect them. Instead, Croatia and Bosnia request to join the Hellenic Republic to prevent the Italians from invading. The Slovenians prepare for war.

Brazil accepts Germany's offer, and Brazil then begins to mobilize its armies towards the countries that did not receive her diplomats, Bolivia, Venezuela, Chile, and Argentina. However, Brazil does not do so to countries that took favor to her diplomacy, Peru, Paraguay, Ecuador, Uruguay, and Galapagos. Brazil would attempt to begin speaking to the favorable countries about diplomatic annexation, and offers them once again to join Brazil. If they were to reject, Brazil would threaten an invasion with its armies situated along the borders.

THE UNITED KINGDOM OF GREAT BRITAIN

A new King, and, a new Prime Minister, have been chosen in Britain.

In the previous weeks, Prime Minister Edward Leigh was growing sickly with cancer. Though this had been carefully kept from the public, everyone was concerned.

Upon the Prime Minister's death, a grand funeral procession is held in his honor.

Under the British Constitution, King Charles now had to select a new Prime Minister to replace Leigh. He decided to choose a delegate from the House of Lords to become the new Prime Minister, and in that House, there was one man who had the coalition's support above all else. One man who could fully unite the nation.

The Prince of Wales, and the successor to the British throne, William Windsor, was appointed the new Prime Minister of Great Britain by King Charles, with proper, legitimate support from Parliament. He was a former British army officer, and an energetic, younger man, appealing to both the young and the old alike. He did not gain as much support as Prime Minister Leigh had, but he still had the Traditionalist Conservative Party's blessing.

And then the unthinkable happened:

King Charles, overnight, three days later, died in his sleep of old age. The world mourned over his death, and world leaders from all over the world, including the President of the United States, the King of Saudi Arabia, leaders within the British Commonwealth, and heads of state from Switzerland, Iberia, and Russia would be invited to attend the King's funeral.

But this had left the newly corronated King William in an odd position: He was both the King, AND the Prime Minister. He now had more power than any other man in the United Kingdom.

He had his work cut out for him...

The defensive pact is accepted from the United States. However, the British government isn't happy that the Americans are mobilizing troops on the Canadian border.

The King wishes to meet with both the Prime Minister of Canada, and the American President, both in Washington DC, to negotiate a settlement between the nations, fearing that the Americans shall soon attack a nation of the British Commonwealth. ((Will PM a mod and America))

Iceland is scorned for waiving the defensive agreement that they have with the United Kingdom, and is also politically scoffed at over the British media for choosing Nazi oppressors over the pro-democratic British. All deals with them are immediately canceled.

The war continues to be waged in Normandy and in Southern France, as British tanks and artillery join in the attack on the French lines. The British would deply their own surface-to-surface missiles, attempting to strike at the French lines.

As a saying goes, "Police forces make the worst militaries, and militaries make the worst police forces". The British generals in the north hope that this saying will remain true, and that the French anti-terrorism police will soon be overpowered along with their commandos.

The RAF and the Russian Hypersonic Bombers continue to attempt to target France's infrastructure, and now have a new goal in mind as well: to knock French UAVs out of the sky, and reduce casualties on the southern front.

A meeting of the British Commonwealth is called to order again by the King of Great Britain.

He requests that all member nations form military alliances with each other, in order to better protect themselves from Imperialists around the globe. The King also calls for the Commonwealth to be strengthened, and act as a more powerful organization in the near future.

Specifically, he requests that members of the British Commonwealth become more involved with each other, and think of themselves more as cousins or brothers than as competing nations. He also requests authority from the Commonwealth members to decide Commonwealth actions for for the organization. ((MOD ACTION REQUESTED))

3,000 British troops in the Overseas Territory of Akrotiri and Dhekelia prepare to assist Israel, should they request help from the United Kingdom.

The Invasion

The President chuckled at the defiance, pressing the big red button he initiated the strike. Immediately ships, planes, and soldiers departed from the Italian mainland. A massive 10,000 soldier force piercing the border of Slovenia, who's military was dwarfed by such a small army. Meanwhile a dual invasion is sent out to Croatia and a single force departs for Bosnia.

The offers of Bosnia and Croatia is are accepted, joyous outbreaks all over the Hellenic Republic due to the news. The Italian forces are faced with a warning to cease their invasive manoeuvres of the Hellenic Republic or face war. The Baltic States and Germany are informed of the agressions upon the Hellenic Republic, their ally,'s territories and a mass campaign of movement begins, the fleet being transferred along with all available air power to move as many troops as possible to the front-line. Permission is sought from Montenegro to move troops from Greece into these new territories for the safety of all Balkan troops.
