Lafthi Sylvari (Archoly) a Prince of Malinor who tried to make reformations and managed housing.

we also need Prince Lion since he initially tried to reform as well before betraying Malinor to join the Conclave.

Not tooting my own horn but I've had quite a few people tell me my name is 'infamous' and that a lot of people know about Dwyn way before meeting him.

 

Also, on the wood elf racial page I'm listed as a notable wood elf there -shrugs-

 

I've done a lot more than just be on the council, I reformed the military in Leanniel, I had my own successful town for a while, was a major part of the splinters in thales- And was the first to find peace with the high elves during that time as well. And thats just Anthos and Thales- not including whats happened in Athera.

 

edit: Also seriously, Art- who was our nation leader for quite a long time- Is vouching for a few people. I truly do think he would know who was notable within his own nation.

If you have to convince someone of their reasoning to be a notable figure, then they're not as notable as you believe, personal opinion is all. The elves that come to mind in Athera, for me at least, are as follows;

 

Kalameet, Kalenz, Delonna, Avern, Phaedrus, Art, Ac'Aelu, Tristen, Dwyn, Da'kir and Mizziyrn.

 

Keep in mind that I am saying notable for Athera, sure there are a lot of noteworthy elves but frankly, those are the only ones that stood out to me whilst in Athera.

I'm not sure how efficient of a process this really is. I've edited Phaedrus' paragraph on the notable character page, and was given a page just for him in turn, but that was more for the sake of clarity if one actually wanted to read about some of the things he's done. I'm hesitant to even get that detailed since it seems like a lot of people have bought into the propaganda and controversy surrounding him in turn, it's almost seems like meta to clarify a few things at this stage on the wiki page, since there's really nothing IC to clear his name. Basically I acknowledge that I myself have indulged a bit on the wiki page.

 

But, moving on to my point, I was surprised to see him first added to the page. Ok, he convinced pretty much the entire world to hate on high elves for a week or two, but that's not really challenging. That's pretty much why he's famous, and I don't get it.

 

People saying that some characters should be considered notable just for being 'leaders'? Name me five presidents of the United States, you can't use Washington, Adams, Jefferson, Lincoln, FDR, Roosevelt, Nixon, Clinton, Bush sr&jr, or Obama. You also can't look up a list.

 

Being a leader doesn't make you notable, and speaking frankly, from my experience not a lot of leaders did anything. I realize we all lead very busy lives OOCly but I mean... Guys, get real, I didn't have a ton of help while I was trying my hand at it and the current state of Laureh'lin should speak for how much 'work' people have put into it. It's a pretty city, nice builds, but you're a vassal to Oren, get real.

 

tl;dr, quit with the patting on the back bullshit. Elves are in one of the worst states they've ever been, this is on par if slightly above the decline/fall of Malinor. Make being a notable elf actually mean something instead of a prize you get in a cereal box for just eating the bloody cereal. The number of 'notable' elves we have in comparison to the actual state of elves is extremely disproportionate and saturated.
