It's been in discussion in every Skype chat imaginable and all over the forums. The community response to Villain Applications and a demand for an answer. You have been heard. The entire admin and GM team wants you to know that we have indeed heard the many complaints that have come to us and have been in deep discussion since then.

 

Sadly, to get to a point where we can release an official response on what's going to happen will take time. We are planning on a team meeting later today to discuss what's going on and if everything goes well we are hoping to have a response in the upcoming days.

 

In the mean time look over 501's Your View post to share your opinion. As well, you're free to send a message to myself if you feel you have a solution to this issue. I only ask that the proposals be presented in a thought out way so that I can properly go through and present them to the team.

I agree that the VA system must be removed, however the rep farming and countless threads stating the same thing is getting tedious and tiring right about now. People should stop targeting random staff that have stated views in their respective /leaked/ Skype chats. Admins answer me this: How will Drfate remain spooky if he can't rp a villain anymore? :(((

Why does there have to be 50 meetings over the same thing? It's a waste of time when the answer is obvious. 

 

You better take the smart decision and remove VAs and MAs now, or you will lose the respect of the players.

I don't understand what is so hard to discuss in this situation. One look at the polls, or perhaps leowarrior's thread about refusing to accept VA's should be enough to get an answer to this unpleasant issue, shouldn't it? I have never, in my whole time on LoTC seen such overwhelming support for one option. In this case, the express removal of VA's. 

 

How can it take time to discuss something that 88% of the people here want?

 

How can there still be debate over a solution?

Something is better than nothing. At least now we're not in complete silence.

They could just revert the change now before it's been implemented considering roughly 90% of the server doesn't want it.

It's been two days. Timezones has nothing to do with it. And even if some staff are away for a few days, you shouldn't need all the staff to have votes and meetings to decide whether to keep something that nearly everyone on the server is against.

Guys quit being dicks. The staff is being transparent about what they're doing to resolve the issue and you're getting mad at them for being transparent. Quit complaining because a system that they spent weeks creating is taking a few days to remove rather than a few minutes. The idea that this is yielding a negative response as absolutely idiotic.

They pretty much copy-pasted the old VA system, they just changed the app a small bit which could have been done in an hour or less. The lesser and greater evil distinction was there under a different name in Aegis so it isn't exactly a new idea. And if they did somehow take weeks to prepare this, the fact that they fully prepared it and only told us about it when they were implementing it is not transparent.
