Rule Change: Horse theft.

Good evening LotC,

 

Just a small change for you today, regarding the horse rule with was prior to this the following;

Horses that are not near any settlements/ or buildings can be stolen by make a modreq.

The issue with the rule comes from two senses. The first of which being the difficulty to actual steal with the horse plugin currently upon the server, being that to 'steal' a horse we must first kill it and replace with usually awful one. Atop of that its always been an issue with moderating, as although the horse needs to be outside the boundaries of a settlement most people tended to just.. push them outside, yes, we know what you're doing.

 

Therefore for the sake of ease of moderating, and removing perhaps unfair theft of horses that do more harm than good. The following rule shall be implemented.

Horses may not be stolen under any circumstances.

Honestly, why would you want a shitty mc horse, I always thought it was more hastle than it was worth and was just generally shitty for the old horse owner. Especially when horses tend to be lost a lot anyway

so i've had this horse in my blarg for a while, and the previous owner has been gone for like 90+ days and like 8+ days ago i modreq'd it and the mod said that he/she couldn't change it's ownership to me...

What about if there's s bunch of horses underground in some dirt box? Can they be freed if they're not stolen?

Great idea, in all honesty. Would save a lot of trouble for all three sides: the owner, the thief, and the GM.

Now, we just need to implement a rule that people may not own horses, or any animal for that matter, in the name of the Aspects and DETA (Druids for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) law!
