6.0 Announcement Post

 

Hello everyone! We’re glad to finally share some details with you all about the new upcoming map 6.0 and I’ll be getting into some details about the map as well as a lovely picture of the map below.

 

 

The map has been in construction since January and has come a long way since then through hours of world painting to make the map look like what it is now. However the map is still a heavy work in progress and does have an abundance of things that need fixed, such as floating trees, messy volcanoes and the addition of roads.

 

The staff team did post a few [Your View] threads a while back and asked you lot which maps you liked the best and which you liked the least. Henceforth the map has been built with these ideas in mind and a lot of community feedback has went into its creation.

 

The map as it stands is:

8k x 8k blocks big.

A large number of players have been saying that a map the size of Tahn would be slightly too large and a map the size of Athera would be too small, therefore we’ve tried to go for a nice middle ground.

 

Very much based off of Anthos.

You lot seem to love Anthos so the actual map has been designed to be somewhat similar to what Anthos was like.

 

Whilst there isn’t loads of information in this post I do hope to get some more to you guys in the near future as we progress with the map creation and finalise decisions about transitioning and the map itself. I however can say that there will be an announcement regarding the dates of when we will be moving to this map at least 1 month beforehand.

 

We’ll also try and keep you guys updated with the progress we make with the map so that you’re not out of the loop! For now, here’s a teaser of what the map actually looks like:

We haven't set anything in stone about freebuild yet, but make sure to keep up with these posts as we'll announce it when it's decided upon!

Realistically it will be a few months since there's still a bit of work to do on the map before it's ready to go.
