Where’s Your Crown, King Nothing?

Imperial forces marching through South Arentania, securing the region, c. 1813.

Two years, seven victories. Wars had been won and lost in more, mostly to the advantage of the Empire, as students of history would know, but it seemed that there would always be those willing to test their mettle against the men of Oren. However, no longer would the Sedanite rebels prove to be a great threat any longer. In the face of numerous Orenian triumphs, a rebellion plot uncovered too early, and a number of prominent leaders being captured, the Sedanites had chosen flight over what was to be an assured defeat in the field of battle, leaving behind a ruin of a manor and the scattered corpses of their fallen brethren. Although the men of the Empire were deprived of the glory in battle they so desired, a number of other heroes had arisen throughout the war.

An Imperial effort it was, one that required every man, woman, and child to act in consort with the aim of defeating a common enemy. Even those who derided the very name of Oren, disdained all that a common humanity stood for, knew the cost of standing against the Imperial war machine. Or so one would think, for seven or more times the Sedanites sought to do battle with the men of Oren, and each time they fled in utter defeat, if there were men left to flee.

It would only be mere days until the rest of the rebellion within the Empire was subdued and the petty uprising finally quelled. Once again, the Empire would prove victorious over those seeking its downfall.

MAJOR EVENTS:

I) 13th of Harren’s Folly, 1811 - Battle of Southbridge, Orenian Victory

II) 17th of Godfrey’s Triumph, 1812 - Battle of Robert’s Folly, Orenian Victory

III) 14th of Horen’s Calling, 1813 - The Surrender of Sedan

God save the Empire.

"Victory is Ours, Orenians. Hurrah! God save the Emperor and the Imperial Oren!"

The Solicitor-General would clap as he heard the news of the Sedanite surrender.

"Now, It's time to celebrate this, without forgetting the true heroes of this war: The Orenian people and, especially, the soldiers of the Imperial State Army.

May God bless them and May God save the Empire!"

Anthony Basrid reclined in his chair, hands resting behind his head as he spoke to his trusty servant. "Perhaps it is time to begin my research papers once more. Oh how I must find those whales..." He said in thought, a hand then drifting to his chin. "Mayhaps I should get a new painting first..."

Velu shook her head with a soft chuckle, letting her silver locks rock gently. "Well, who would of thought, another man proven to be.... anti climactic." She then hoisted up the old, weathered Imperial State Army flag once more, giving it's fabric a gentle pat. "Another victory you've seen hm?"

Stanimir hums to himself a classic Orenian War-tune, enjoying the victory celebrations the Dobrov Crows were undertaking outside of the borders.

“One country,” offers the Surveyor-General to his daughter, Natalia, “One country and one law for all. These noble-blooded reactionaries flee into exile because they cannot accept that fact!”

He bites into his haunch of roast boar.

“Now that the rising in South Arentania has been put down, we ought to go about finding your sister a new husband.”
