THE TREATY OF KARINAH'SIOL

Between the Silver State of Haelun'or and the Holy Orenian Empire

Article I - Non-Aggression Pact

The Holy Orenian Empire and the Silver State of Haelun’or (henceforth ‘the Signatories’), shall enter into a strict non aggression pact. The Silver State of Haelun'or shall uphold its neutrality in all conflicts between the Holy Orenian Empire and those the Silver State have a treaty with. In this case, this neutrality shall prohibit economic and military aid to the Holy Orenian Empire and any of her enemies, and the movement of armies through Haelun’or borders.

 

Article II - Defense Pact

The signatories agree to support and defend one another to the full extent of their military, economic and political capacity, in the case wherein any nation or paramilitary polity attacks, intends to attack, or declares war upon a signatory. In the case wherein the Signatories would come into conflict with allies bearing treatise of defense, or military alliance; the signatories shall not be required to offer military, political, or economic aid to their fellow signatory but cannot offer aid to their respective allies for the duration of the conflict.

 

Article III - Free Trade

The Signatories shall enter into an agreement of Free Trade. Both nations shall be allowed a tax exempt stall that will be allowed for any trade purpose. Goods that are sold within these stalls shall not hold any tariff or duty between each respective nation. Further business transactions or dealings between the signatories shall be entered into further agreements. 

 

Article IV - Joint Military Exercises

The Signatories agree to enter into joint military exercises in which at the minimum of once every four years, the nations are scheduled to participate in war games. During said time military leaders shall organize, oversee and conduct training in both respective lands -- the Holy Orenian Empire and the Silver State of Haelun’or. 

 

Article V - Violations

In the case wherein either signatory is found by the other to be in violation of this pact, all articles shall remain in effect, while the signatories search for diplomatic resolutions according to the articles of this document.

 

 

Article VI - Duration & Renewal

The Signatories agree to enter into the Treaty of Karinah’Siol for the duration of ten years. Upon entering the final three years of this treaty, both nations may come together to renew the agreement for a further twenty years additional to the remaining term.

Haskir recalled when he'd confronted the Army captain amidst the brink of war under the Iron Accord. He recalled how no weapon was aimed, how instead he held an alchemical bottle in a lax hand. How they were allowed to walk free, never detained, never harmed. As he thought back to the moment, he smiles for a brief second before settling the treaty aside on a shelf in his humble home. "I wonder how that dame will fare when she sees this treaty."

 

Haskir exhales a sigh then, looking across the waters of the ocean West to its foggy horizon, the capitol of the Empire of Oren visible from where he stood. "About time we made friends again with the winning side."
